I just got the RX100M7 4-years later as is still a great camera and from what I hear will be the last of its line from Sony. Sony sells a grip for the front of the camera which I fitted immediately which gets over the slipperiness and makes this camera as comfortable to handle as anything so small can be. One as far as I know unique feature of this camera is the ability to take full resolution stills while recording HD video. Ideal for the shooter like me that often forgoes video so as not to miss that perfect photo moment. With this camera it is possible to have both. I also like the flip up flash for fill-in. So two great features that even my top of the line Alpha 1 cannot offer. For me I will be using the RX100 as a camera I can take with me anywhere to get high quality images, or as even as an extra to carry with my full frame camera to get me focal lengths not covered by the lens on my A1. For example in my wildlife photography, 99% of my photos are with 400+mm lens, but I can pull out the RX100 on the occasion that an animal does come close.

First, thanks for making the video. I've been using a Nikon Coolpix A900 for about 6 years now and it's time to upgrade. The vast majority of the shooting I do is from a recumbent trike, or somewhere I'll stop while riding and get up because I see a great photo op.. Usually that means wildlife, sunsets, sunrises, and other FL vistas. The most important things to me are speed in being able to get the camera out of my camelback, turned on, focused, and shot (and of course zoomed if necessary), image quality, and zoom and this camera appears to excel at all three. After looking over probably 15 or 20 different compact/travel cameras, this one does look like the one I'll buy.

Recently bought this camera. Have the Rx10 iv and A7C ....... absolutely love it , the colours out the box are very accurate ... got the grip for it as well , really helps .... Thanks for the video

Hey Dude, always enjoyed your videos and only just watched this one as only just considering the RX100 VII. Even though the RX100 VII is over 3 years old, I am actually tempted to get one as an uber compact camera when travelling, I already have the A7C and love it, but my lens choices are not compact. I wish there was hopes of getting an updated MK VIII soon with USB-C and the updated menu, but I think it’s safe to say that Sony did the ZV1 and now has no interest in making a premium photo centric version with this form factor anymore. What’s your thoughts? Still worth buying in 2023, or has someone else made the ultimate compact camera that’s a no brainier? PS. Your video was the only one I found that explained where in the zoom range the F2.8 drops to F4 (44mm I think you said), so thank you for that I was really interested particularly on this. Huge thanks
Thank you so much for this review! I'm really thinking about getting it but as it's really expensive: Would you rather recommend the RX100 Mark VII or the Canon M50?
Thank you for this more than excellent review! Unbiased, to the point, covering the most important features, not too short, not too long. I subscribed to your channel.
I can't find the videos you refer to in this video. I think you mentioned your favorite settings in this cameras menus for various "use" cases for one. I couldn't find anything about Sony cameras on your UA-cam pages? Did I miss it? Great video. I purchased the camera and want to learn more. Thank you.
Would this be a good camera for shooting longer videos? (20-30mins) I want it for some wildlife behaviour observations and was wondering if it would do the job. Also, does it deliver in low lights?
Hi, I just brought the Sony RX100 VII and can’t wait to use it. You said you were doing a video on how you set the camera up. If so can you share the link here as I haven’t been able to find it. Thanks for the great reviews I really enjoy watching them.
Hello there. I typically need to shoot at narrower apertures, 5.6 to 10 on my A6000 and 30mm prime. The shutter speeds are still quite high during day time. Seeing that the shutter only goes 1/2000, is the lens sharp at narrower apertures like upti f11?? When does the sharpness and contrast begin to drop off?? Does the AF suffer at those apertures??
Fantastic review! Still trying to decide on RX100 VII or RX10 IV I like the portability of the RX100 but love the range of the RX10. I shoot mostly birds, wildlife as well as sunrise and sunset scenes. Wanting something I can have with me daily when I do not have my Olympus OMD EM1 MII with zoom lens only Either model I would have to purchase used. Also.. beautiful scenery.. where did you shoot this video? Wishing I was either at that pool or the beach!!
Thanks! I shot the video in Mexico. If you need range, then the RX10IV is the way to go. The camera is definitely bigger than the RX100VII, but for birds and wildlife, you really need the range. My 2 cents.
I had a Panasonic Lumix camera years ago and I used it for concerts and the sound came out pretty good of course you have to have a point shoot camera nowadays to take into venues. I want great 4k video for concerts and festivals sporting events do you think this is a good buy for that.
Hi John - thanks for watching. This is the most powerful post and shoot camera I've used - so if it's in the budget - it's a great option. If you wanted better audio, you can always get a stereo mic (but not sure if they will let you bring it in). hope that helps. Thanks for joining the channel.
Does the app allow you to zoom in and out with the lens. Can the app also engage clear image zoom for increased range? Does the lever also use CIZ to go beyond the 200?
Just got the camera is exemplary good in almost all accounts, I have two major caveats about it though. Touch screen implementation is just not ok, you can't zoom or swipe...why not, it's a touch screen! The second is the price, its a premium price deterring most people from buying it.
The beautiful thing about this camera is that it is tiny - and yet so powerful. If I had unlimited budget and size/weight didn't matter, I could create higher quality content with the a6600 (plus a lot of money for lenses, filters, etc.). But if I need one camera to put in my pocket, take absolutely everywhere - I'm taking the RX100VII. Hope this was helpful.
Have you seen the CAMROTE app for ios. I was having trouble connecting via the Sony app but was able to transfer and remote control via this app. Just a suggestion :)
Excellent review; very helpful. I am looking for a compact camera to mainly film my sons' baseball games. I am currently using either my cell phone or a Nikon D7000, but would like something better than my phone and more compact thank the DSLR . I have been looking at the Sony RX100 and the Sony FDR-AX43, but would love to hear your suggestions.
Thank you for the kind words. This is the most powerful compact camera I've used to date. If you want a camera just to shoot video, the camcorder will probably work for you. If you want video and photos and in the tiniest form - this is a great option. Hope that helps. Welcome, and thank you for supporting to the channel!
Yes! Straight forward with the pro's and cons. I'm impressed with this camera. I'll need to wait for a special offer though before I could make a purchase.
Thank you for your video. if i want to chose a compact camera among Sony Rx100VII and Fuji film X100V. i am more interested in images rather than video . what is your opinion? which one has a best image quality? pls help me.
this one or g5x mark 2 ? and can i expect dslr quality pics with these compacts. ? my usage is only for photo taking. mostly family photos. is there any other good option for my needs other than these two cameras.? TIA
Exactly what I was looking for! I have a ZV1, which takes amazing videos AND photos! However, I have the Ulanzi wide angle adapter on it, which doesnt come off. I also travel a lot, and don't always want to carry a full frame with me. Would this camera be a good complement to my ZV1?
Nice video. yesterday I bourged my Sony DSC100-FX mark 7. The Mark 7 takes a while to learned to handle. Thanks to you for you gives me this film so I can be introducet it :)
Your text above says the Sony RX100 Vii has a 24-300mm equivalent lens but in your video you state it correctly as 24-200 mm. Don't know if it really matters, but thought you should know.
the bloopers in the end is very interesting. i think if you should put little like 10 secs of that in the intro part of the video people will troop in more or click your videos more and watch just to learn what you're offering and to laugh or smile.
I am looking for a camera to shoot video of my golf swing. I need to use it indoors and with limited space . Do you think the Sony rx100 vii is the best choice ? Obviously need fast FPS to shoot golf swing.
I have a Sony A7iii but we only use it for travel but it can be heavy, bulky and takes too much luggage space. Would the RX100vii be a good enough replacement for travel photography in your opinion?
Hi there. I have the a7iii as well, so I'm going to try to answer this how I would want it answered. When you say "good enough" that is a judgement. In my opinion, for the size and convenience - it's amazing. Just keep in mind that it's not your a7iii ;) Hope this was helpful.
Another great job. Would you recommend this camera for a beginner? I am looking at Fuji, Sony, etc. I want something to give me a great photography experience instead of some expensive spec monster.
which would you prefe? sony a6000 with the sigma 16mm f1.4 or sony a6400 with kit lens. both add up to almost the same price. the a6000 still comes up a tsd bit cheaper in my country. i use it mainly for video.
For video I would probably start with the a6400 and the kit lens because the autofocus is so much better. Plus, if you only have one lens, the sigma 16mm is very limiting (only one look)
Hello. I am on the fence about buying the mk7, do you think that mk8 will hit the market this summer? Or do you have another favorite that beats the mk7 at the moment? Great review btw, as allways I love your feedback on cameras, you're a good benchmark imo! :)
So glad the videos are helpful. The MK7 is the most powerful compact camera I've ever used. Who knows what will happen with the industry (considering the current situation). If the mk7 does everything you want/need, I'd grab it. For the form factor, I haven't found anything that competes. I hope I was able to help.
@@TechGearTalk Yeah thanks a bunch. The only thing I can see is the lack of a nice rubber grip or something, but I guess I can 3D-print something to make it better on that. But yeah, picture and filmquality I think it checks out the boxes pretty good..
@@TechGearTalk Precisely, so I was wondering if you used one of the glue on kits (lensmate do one) to keep the shutter speed low. The footage looked pretty smooth to me, not like you had a fast shutter speed. Thanks for responding!
Ah, got it - I didn't. Some of the footage is a little overexposed (when it was crazy bright out there). Ultimately, the solution you mentioned would work. Keep an eye out for a video I'll be publishing soon ;)
To me, these are not comparable. The benefit of the RX 100 vii is that it's a really compact camera. You can basically fit it in you pocket. Not the a6400. I have the a6400 and love it. But am considering the RX 100 vii so I can fit in my purse when I don't want to carry wait.
I am looking for a lightweight and compact camera to use on high altitude expeditions in the Himalayas. and I am expecting to get good quality photos and videos of other mountains from the top of the summit. which would be a great? I'll be very grateful if you guide me. Thank you.
THANKS for this video and all that you do, I am just getting into photography I was taking pictures with a 13 year old point and shoot, so I took the plunge and bought a Canon SL2 with the kit lens EF-S 18-55mm IS STM Len so with this said what would you suggest for taking pictures and video at disney we are heading down there in early January. The camera store guy suggested 35mm 2.8 macro or EF 50mm F 1.8 stm, which you talked about can you help please? I forgot to say we are going to go at night to the parks and taking photos of buildings and people mainly lights video and pictures about 50/50
You're welcome Doug! Appreciate you. Those are 2 good options. If you want to take pictures at night, grab a small tripod (like a Joby amzn.to/36ilU89). Here is my video about the 50mm: ua-cam.com/video/8EEKkrOuj-w/v-deo.html. The 35mm f/2.8 amzn.to/2PzhmDA is a fast, lens with image stabilization (which is great to have). If you want something really fast, look at the 10-18. It's not a fast lens, but is super wide amzn.to/2qBdsBM (and you'll have a tripod). Hope this helps.
Hey buddy, I got another question, or two actually.. 1 - Will this camera be able to still record movie and shoot pictures while the micro usb is connected? 2 - Timelapse.. will the camera keep shooting until the battery is empty? I'm sick of the G7X mk2 that has the time limit in timelapse and that it wont take pictures or video while charging..
Hi there. 1. Yes 2. Yes I totally get your frustration with the G7XMKII The RX100VII is the most powerful compact camera I've ever used. Period. Thank you for being part of the channel.
Great video. I want to start dabbling in video. What do you do on a bright sunny day. Do you use a filter of any sort or the 180 degree method is not so important. Thanks
I wish the Mk VIII would have a bit less FL (to 150mm) and re-adopt the f/1.8 lens I have in my Mk II. I'm a still photographer & need the faster lens for low light...
I have this camera and the flash stop working, I reset the camera, took the battery and flash card out and it still won't work. It appears to be a running issues with the series. What is the solution if any?
Thanx for the info... I have been eyeing this camera for a while.... thanx sooo much... btw how did you do the flip page(corner) at the end of the video to subscribe? again thanx
@@TechGearTalk I find that the pictures are not very bright and that lack a bit of contrast. the aperture is F3.3 - 6.4, so I don't know if this is the problem. It definitely has a great zoom range though (up to 15x optoical zoom) and very good ergonomics
I have a question. Would you recommend it if : 1) you are beginner and know only really basics from photography 2) you want to take better photos than your smartphone fast and without any effort (maybe with auto mode) 3) you dont want to edit photos or videos ???
That's an interesting question. 1. Every camera these days can shoot in auto, but if you're trying to get into photography with camera, I would assume your goal is to learn more as you go along. 2. "Better" is going to be subjective. This camera "can" take better pictures than your phone but that does not mean that it necessarily WILL take better pictures. Your phone is doing a lot of computational photography for you. You're losing control, but gaining ease of use. 3. Again, it comes down to expectations. For how small it is, this camera is fantastically powerful. It can get you very good results when used properly. I hope I was able to give you some valuable insight here.
you'll be able to do things you smartphone can't do in terms of optical zoom, etc. But you'll never maximize the potential of the camera without editing. I'm just keeping it honest with you.
Hi again. Help lol.... Hi I really need some help and advice again please. I would like to buy a compact camera with a good zoom, good video, picture quality, touch screen, flip screen if possible, anti shake as I have a small tremor and RA in my hands but I really would like to buy one (at last) and finally take nice photos of birds, family so fast moving, night shots and would like to photo water that looks like foggy/steamy if you know what I mean. I am a pensioner (in my 70s and a young pensioner), so cannot afford a lot. I bought an Olympus Pen 10 camera just before the pandemic but then we could not go out. But trying it on birds in the garden and horses in the field where I lived, I realised that with these hands not a good idea to have to keep changing lens, as it was awkward. Could you please point me in the right direction please. I live in Uk. I really do need advice again. Many thanks. 😊😊
I think it's a great camera I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a point and shoot when the A6400 and A6600 are the same or cheaper. Their already compact cameras. Great video as always man
Tech Gear Talk I know I really want a point a shoot. I have a Heating and Air conditioning Podcast. I’m trying to build my UA-cam now filming videos in the field. I can’t use my phone cause it’s constantly ringing in the middle. I have a GoPro Hero 6 black that’s ok but I would love to get a nice point and shoot I can fit right in my tool bag. Then I use my A6400 when I’m in my studio. I was looking at a used Canon G7X ii. Are they ok. I know no audio jack which sucks or should I just stay with the GoPro?
the G7XIII has a head phone jack if you want. I think if you really want this camera and you'll use it a lot, the extra $$$ is worth it. If you'll use it once or twice a year - nope!
I need camera for UA-cam videos, I'm shooting at home and sometimes outside bit still without motion, what would you recommend: Sony RX100 Vii or a6400 ?
The only thing that I disagree with on this review is the comment on ergonomics and the criticism that it is too 'slippery'. I have no issues with the handling of what is a pocket sized super-compact. Adding 'grippiness' might suit some, but I don't want a super-compact that is hard to remove from my jeans because it has a 'grippy' surface. I don't have really big hands, so that helps as well. In short, if you want something that a bricklayer will feel comfortable handling and is easy to remove from your outsized Gucci bum-bag, then don't look at the RX100.
Amazing review. Thank you. I would be grateful if you could help me to stick with your motto "buy it nice, or buy it twice". I intend to buy a camera for producing online video educational content (mainly to be published in Instagram) and I am a beginner in using cameras. Could you please introduce some midrange cameras for this purpose? or you think this is the absolute best?

I wish there was hopes of getting an updated MK VIII soon with USB-C and the updated menu, but I think it’s safe to say that Sony did the ZV1 and now has no interest in making a premium photo centric version with this form factor anymore. What’s your thoughts? Still worth buying in 2023, or has someone else made the ultimate compact camera that’s a no brainier?
PS. Your video was the only one I found that explained where in the zoom range the F2.8 drops to F4 (44mm I think you said), so thank you for that I was really interested particularly on this. Huge thanks
For grip improvement, check Sony AG-R2. This IMO should be included in the box, btw.
Thank you.
Hi, thank you for a great in depth review of this compact camera. I have wondering if there is a bracketing feature. Thank You very much.
Would this be a good camera for shooting longer videos? (20-30mins) I want it for some wildlife behaviour observations and was wondering if it would do the job. Also, does it deliver in low lights?
Sony does have a stick on grip. You have to buy it separately though. I'm using it on my camera.
Thanks Sharon - found it!!! How’s it working for you? Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻
@@TechGearTalk Well after dropping my camera because it was so slippery, I added the grip. For me it works well. It's slightly rough so that helps.
Thanks for the insight.
I like the Franiac grip (its solid aluminum, also on amazon). It helps a lot, if you want an alternative to the texture of the sony one. Feels nice.
Hi, I just brought the Sony RX100 VII and can’t wait to use it. You said you were doing a video on how you set the camera up. If so can you share the link here as I haven’t been able to find it.
Thanks for the great reviews I really enjoy watching them.
Excellent presentation thank you. 4 years later the price of rx100 vii is still high which proves house much people like it.
Great video! An advice: i have an rx100 II, it really misses the touch screen for focus. Do you advise the upgrade?🙏🙏
Good job, as usual!
My 2 cents.
Ppl
Is this still a good buy for 2023? Or is there something better?
You are the best! You helped me so much in trying to understand my camera to shoot video for my own channel.
That is amazing to hear Karina - I'm so glad I've able to help. Thank you for watching and for all the support! 🙏
@@TechGearTalk I have the Canon Rebel SL2 and your video was the very first one I watched to help me, so thank you!
That's awesome, I really like how easy that camera is to use - and gotta love that flip screen!
The big question is: RX100 VII or VA? The lens of the VA is quite a lot faster
I got this and it solved my issues without excess mass R017 SONY RX100 VII Microphone Handle Grip L Type Cold Shoe Bracket
Sweet!!! Thank you Ted.
Does the app allow you to zoom in and out with the lens. Can the app also engage clear image zoom for increased range? Does the lever also use CIZ to go beyond the 200?
It would be an awesome compact camera for travel.
Just got the camera is exemplary good in almost all accounts, I have two major caveats about it though.
Touch screen implementation is just not ok, you can't zoom or swipe...why not, it's a touch screen!
The second is the price, its a premium price deterring most people from buying it.
I think that's a fair analysis of this camera. Thank you for sharing and or being part of the channel!
im looking to mostly vlog or use on vacation to take some cool videos. do you think this or the a6600 is best?
The beautiful thing about this camera is that it is tiny - and yet so powerful.
If I had unlimited budget and size/weight didn't matter, I could create higher quality content with the a6600 (plus a lot of money for lenses, filters, etc.). But if I need one camera to put in my pocket, take absolutely everywhere - I'm taking the RX100VII. Hope this was helpful.
Have you seen the CAMROTE app for ios. I was having trouble connecting via the Sony app but was able to transfer and remote control via this app. Just a suggestion :)
I have not, but I'm going to go check it out. Super grateful! 🙏
Hey Ross, I agree you and Rachael were on a break!
There is no doubt that we were on a break - it's a fact! 😂
Question, for the small form factor, comparing the Sony to a similar sized Fujifilm model, who would you consider best overall?
TIA
I would take this one if image quality is the priority (and cost wasn't an issue). This is the most powerful compact camera I've used.
What mic did you use for this? Great video!
What’s your thoughts re: a mark viii. Should one wait or go for the vii?
Will there be a next generation of this camera ? RX100MVIII ?
Nice video. yesterday I bourged my Sony DSC100-FX mark 7. The Mark 7 takes a while to learned to handle. Thanks to you for you gives me this film so I can be introducet it :)
Glad to help!
Which camera i want to buy ; Cyber Short or DSLR camera which is better
I'm new to the photography scene, can this camera be used in a studio. I'm trying to set up
Your text above says the Sony RX100 Vii has a 24-300mm equivalent lens but in your video you state it correctly as 24-200 mm. Don't know if it really matters, but thought you should know.
Appreciate you taking the time to let me know Dale - corrected! 🙏
the bloopers in the end is very interesting. i think if you should put little like 10 secs of that in the intro part of the video people will troop in more or click your videos more and watch just to learn what you're offering and to laugh or smile.
Good idea - I'll try that at some point for sure!
$1,300 and it uses micro USB?! Also, just stumbled on your channel, keep up the awesome work. Subbed
I know right? What year is it? USB-C everything please. Glad you found the channel and appreciate the kind words 🙏
Just keep in mind that it's not your a7iii ;)
Hope this was helpful.
This is a great video, love the calm and good vibes while also giving great information about the sony VII camera. Great video and audio quality :)
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great job.
@@TechGearTalk ahh i see, ok thanks a lot!
Hope this was helpful.
Does the camera overheat which i experienced in one of the older version? How many minutes is the battery per each use?
Is it worth to buy Sony rx100 mark 7 camera or rather Sony Xperia Pro i phone?! Which one of them makes better pictures ??!!
you review had me made up my mind to get myself a RX100vii!
You're very welcome. Also look at this: amzn.to/3bNLMLO and amzn.to/2Rcv4y1 (in the Q&A it says it would fit, just block the door to the HDMI)
You can buy Sony AG-R2 Attachment Grip for $15. For a high-end camera, Sony should've included it. Highly recommend it.
Good review, covering almost everything I can think of.... except did you use neutral density filters in the beach shots?
Thanks Tony. No, I did not use ND filters on the beach because there are no built-in ones (that I saw).
Can’t decide between the a6400 or this.
What will you use it for Pete?
To me, these are not comparable. The benefit of the RX 100 vii is that it's a really compact camera. You can basically fit it in you pocket. Not the a6400. I have the a6400 and love it. But am considering the RX 100 vii so I can fit in my purse when I don't want to carry wait.
That giggle when you held down the shutter button…..you were so entertained ❤…which was entertaining! 😅
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great review for the next camera I will get in a few weeks.
I'm thinking about this camera to replace my Nikon A900 for vlogging. The low light is way better than the Nikon.
That's true, as is the auto focus.
I am looking for a lightweight and compact camera to use on high altitude expeditions in the Himalayas. and I am expecting to get good quality photos and videos of other mountains from the top of the summit. which would be a great? I'll be very grateful if you guide me. Thank you.
It's worth it compared with a S22 ultra or iPhone 13 pro?
@@TechGearTalk Thanks once again
🙏
what microphone do you recommend for rx100mark7. I cannot find the model. maybe I overlooked.
Very good review ... the only reason I didn't go with this camera is price. An a6400 and kit lens is cheaper.
How can a review be sooo good? This is how.
So glad you liked it!
Have you looked at the RX100 VA? It has a 1.8-2.8 lens and a 3 stage ND filter. Would appreciate your feedback. TYI JB
great detailed review, great job man
Glad you liked it! Appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback 🙏
Hi there.
1. Yes
2. Yes
I totally get your frustration with the G7XMKII The RX100VII is the most powerful compact camera I've ever used. Period. Thank you for being part of the channel.
Great video. I want to start dabbling in video. What do you do on a bright sunny day. Do you use a filter of any sort or the 180 degree method is not so important. Thanks
Lensmate makes an adapter kit! If you're stuck without one, then you have to ignore the 180 degree method.
Tech Gear Talk Thanks for such a quick response. Are you using one on the videos in this review?
No, I didn't have one. That is why some of the beach shots are overexposed.
Would you recommend this camera for nighttime raves?
Just purchased this Sony for 930.00 looking forward to it so I don’t have to carry around my full frame camara
The rx100 mark 7 is 4years old what is it replacement in 2024?
Awesome video. Question notice you’re using Apple AirPods. Connected to the Sony camera as a Microphone??
I wish the Mk VIII would have a bit less FL (to 150mm) and re-adopt the f/1.8 lens I have in my Mk II. I'm a still photographer & need the faster lens for low light...
I have this camera and the flash stop working, I reset the camera, took the battery and flash card out and it still won't work. It appears to be a running issues with the series. What is the solution if any?
Lotion makes your hands soft and slick
*That is FAST burst mode, WOW.*
Thanx for the info... I have been eyeing this camera for a while.... thanx sooo much... btw how did you do the flip page(corner) at the end of the video to subscribe? again thanx
Glad it was helpful. That effect was done in After Effects.
Tech Gear Talk ok thanx but was it a template or did you create it and if so would you mind sharing... thanx again
I had someone make it for me (I am no longer in contact with them so I don't know if they used a template or not).
I have the Panasonic lumix zs200 and I am not very happy with it. Do you know if this is a better camera?
Hi there. I haven't used the ZS200, but the RX100VII is the most powerful compact camera I've ever used. What don't you like about it?
@@TechGearTalk I find that the pictures are not very bright and that lack a bit of contrast. the aperture is F3.3 - 6.4, so I don't know if this is the problem. It definitely has a great zoom range though (up to 15x optoical zoom) and very good ergonomics
@@TechGearTalk Also do you have any idea when the next sony RX100 is coming out?
This one is pretty new, so I don't know when the next one will be out. If you're looking for a compact camera - this is as good as it gets.
Does eye autofocus work with 240 fps video recording? Thanks in advance!
I didn't try - but I'm sure it doesn't. I don't believe it works even in 120.
@@TechGearTalk Thanks for the reply. But it works for 90 fps, correct?
Are you sure it can shoot at 90fps?
I have a question. Would you recommend it if :
1) you are beginner and know only really basics from photography
2) you want to take better photos than your smartphone fast and without any effort (maybe with auto mode)
3) you dont want to edit photos or videos ???
@@TechGearTalk and how about without editing?
you'll be able to do things you smartphone can't do in terms of optical zoom, etc. But you'll never maximize the potential of the camera without editing. I'm just keeping it honest with you.
@@TechGearTalk Thank you very much. I appreciate it that you are honest. It's much better for me :)
That's my goal - to help 👊

do you have a slow motion video done. I am looking for a compact camera that buffer a few seconds before you hit the button like on the v
Great video as always man
I can 100% see that. To be fair, this thing is much smaller - like, literally take it everywhere in your pocket. But the price point... ouch.
Tech Gear Talk yeah I would use it almost everyday atleast 3-4 times a week. Damn it your not making this easy!! 😂😂😂😂
Sorry 😂🤣
I need camera for UA-cam videos, I'm shooting at home and sometimes outside bit still without motion, what would you recommend: Sony RX100 Vii or a6400 ?
I would choose the a6400.
Great review. Thank you!
Thank you. Glad it was helpful David
External mic is sounds so much better.
I add a stick-on grip to the camera, much easier to hold that way.
Thank you for the kind words. I would probably have you look at these: ua-cam.com/video/wZVOATkGvB8/v-deo.html let me know if you have any questions.
