1) Studied target is automatic if you sneak attack the target aka Flank it easy to do 2) Later on its a swift target normaly 3) Best none caster class in the game by far cant prove otherwise its basicly Ranger + Rogue on Steroids with none of the draw backs realy. Not only that but the slayer is REALY strong as an archer or as a duel wielder (Sneak attack on both attacks) and considering you can be a strength based duel wielder ...
Right, when it upgrades to swift action, studied target -should- become something you can just turn into a toggle - a bit less micromanagement. I'm presently working on testing it, but it is something worthy of a look. Additionally, with built in sneak attack, it can certainly pay off nicely to go strength based dual wield.
I think if you want 2H weapon and heavy armor than Two-Handed Fighter is better. You get VS EVERYONE +4 to hit and damage + 2x STR bonus to all attacks + 100% dmg (not 50% from power attack) and a free trip/bull rush if you want it. What do you think about Spawn Slayer with 2 x 1h weapons like 2 scimitars with crit focus that gives you 25% chance to crit each hit and also Ranger feats for two weapon fighting?
or you know sneak attack damage +4 to hit and damage vs +5 to hit and damage via Studie target + At least 6d6 Sneak Attack damage ... thats an adverage of 21 damage or basicly provided double strength bonus from power attack, 10 extra Strength just about, And you can up t hat sneak attack damage btw your not limited to just 6d6 Slayer is the best None caster class in the game period.
@@THAC0MANIC For me Slayer is also the best class to play Kingmaker and I love to pick Human but make him look like Half-Orc just because of background story and roleplay I have in mind. I tested Slayer and Spawn Slayer with 2 scimitars and all the sneak attacks was able to do crazy damage each round without any need to micromanage him.
@@zarddin yeah the whole studie target micromanagement thing peeps said was 100% false its legit swift later on on a norm slayer or just sneak attack the target which means flanking which is ez you + some random person with a shotty glued together xbow grats your flanking. doing sneak attack and got studied target online ...
@@THAC0MANIC Yeah I never clicked studied target ever myself. I was just getting it from doing sneak attacks by flanking. The only thing I ever clicked for Slayer vs some bosses was Quarry.
Your guides are great, man! You're an absolute enrichment to the rpg scene on youtube, even though your fanatical aversion to clicking makes you come across as just about the laziest peon in history XD
a Lawfull Good Slayer Deliverer focused on range attacks is pretty impressive most stuff are evil, chaotic or evil so far, barring the neutral creatures around, specially if you add something like dazzling display on crits, and multishot. gotta be carefull with the penalties on attack rolls cuz it can be kind of bad early game for certain mobs. besides that, it hits like a truck.
Would be great if you could make a updated stream for the slayer class for the upcoming wrath of the righteous. I am considering a str based slayer assimar, human or tiefling myself. Any suggestions? Considering taking trapfinding and trickery and TWF weapon + shield bash build.
I would say true neutral would be the one alignment you really want to avoid. You won't be able to use the opposite alignment free class feat with that alignment, since nothing will be two alignment steps from you.
It is always a trade-off: The more interesting a class, the more "micro" will likely be involved. So, for a stereotypical auto-attacking frontline tank fighter type, with about two tricks on his sleeve, the obvious answer is: Close to zero. ;) That said: Spawn Slayer is likely about the best bet for a class if you want to pull off (micro, ta- daaa!) combat tricks; not only become those way more reliable against larger targets ( one of the main points...) , but he also additionally adds further DC to them.
i mean eveyone considers things interesting differntly, Fighter / Wizard are the 2 most popular classes for a number of reasons, Fighter i would argue as one of the more under-rated classes as people sometimes dont understand that while the fighter may not have alot of abilitys ... he is more complex then you first think with all the feats and such you can do ALOT of builds and alot of builds STRONGLY they get the most static number to abilitys that make them strongz I Mean yeah a Fighter could be something simple like Pick up a two handed weapon take power attack feat get Str as high as possible, but the two handed fighter is STRONGZ as shit and then there are more complex builds in the PnP Version for example there are ways to duel wield range weapons range and melee together with differnt combat manuvers and such, A Melee + Range weapon in the off hand can be fucken pretty cool in many ways truth be told being able to range sunder weapons or trip is possible so on so forth theres surprizling alot of things you can do with a fighter if you so choose to put your mind to it and thus can become a complex class or you can just do the STR TWO HANDED WEAPON POWER ATTACK WHAAG! SMASH!
Nice work brother. This class is super op. What do you think the best solo unfair class is? Edit: Also why don't you suggest using slayer talents to pick up Ranger two weapon fighting? You can have improved two weapon fighting for only 2 talents at level 6.
First off I wan't to say.. Bra content! :D Now is there a way to make a monk/slayer that is decent, mainly Slayer though? I just wanna make one but it's really tough to know what skills lead to the next etc. I can also add that I want it to be Lawful Evil, not played evil yet. I'd appreciate feedback :)
I feel like the slayer is more suited for someone like me who prefers turn based mode on all but the most filler of battles, since micro management is no issue there (I am aware that this video was made before turn based mode officially came out)
so what your saying is that a combat cleric in this game is utterly useless ? wow much good such game. add to that the limited only one custom profile pic at the time nonsense, Magus's being worthless in melee... you know they are meant to be good at, and i'm starting to feel like this game is bit underbaked Maybe even unfinished.

On the topic of micro, I think you might have missed the upgrade where Slayer studies it's target automatically if it hits it with a sneak attack.
20:30 oh yea, the portrait TOTALLY says "lawful good"
That is what lawful good looks like when You're born with 4 charisma 😂
The slayer isn't racist like the ranger. He doesn't discriminate when he kills. 😋
Golden commentary.
Love your channel! I am looking at your class guides to get ready for WOTR.
You don't have to micromanage the " study target " just right click the icon. Same way you can just right click Jubulist's bomb.
( using longbow )
Just pointing out you can use either Dex or Strength as Slayer as your main stat as we're able to use finesse weapons.

Divine anathema is alsow multiplide on a crit which extra dice like elemental and precision usaly do so it is even better to be a deliverer
Thank you so much for this , i know it is old but it helped me alot 🥰
How well do combat meneuvers work on unfair? Thinking about making a gutz style greatsword slayer that focuses on trip and coupe de grace.
Thanks. I play a Slayer - Deliverer.
Slayer "Gargamel"? So his ultimate enemy is Papa Smurf? :-))
cant you just set study target to autocast?

Nice Def going to roleplay as a guts type spawn slayer Thank for the video
Strength based
1 Monk
1 Knife Master
X Slayer going Two Weapon style using Sai's.
Shred everything

Which song is playing in the backround?
Was wondering this also
Very Educational thank you! I'm going to try a Tiefling Hungerseed Spawn Slayer with Greater Trip, Dirty Tricks, and Shatter Defenses.

rogue or inquisitor.
Anybody else when try to change character using the keyboard get game freeze for 4/5 sec? Is unplayable....
so goblin slayer is actually a ranger even though there is "slayer" in his name
He doesn't cast spell nor is he tied to natural forces in any way thou. He IS a Slayer, but one that specifically chooses to go after goblins.

my character is slayer shield basher, using the slayer talents as ranger talents to pick tho weapons fighter and shield master earlier, realy cool
Doesn’t the Slayer use INT for DCs of his/her abilities?
Only for the level 20 Master Slayer ability unless you go for advanced rogue talents :)
