FOR CONTOUR TO WORK: open the game => go to "game options" (settings) => in the "graphics" section => go to "edge smoothing" => and press the "off" option. Ready! :)

oh man I deleted all those gshade presets because it was so dark. I wish I had watched this video first. Thank you for going over that setting to change.
my god you're such a life saver🥹 i literally uninstalled the whole sims game together with reshade because i was THAT upset my sims were dark bc of this weird effect and now i can go back to playing again . really thank u so much

@@hannastar I pressed the home button but if you don’t have it then I recommend watching a UA-cam video on it or searching it up but other reshapes could work they automatically have the right settings in my opinion I love mikko reshade hope this helps.❤️

for me i just toggle it on and off! sadly there isn’t really a way, you can always disable the bloom effect but i love how it looks on the sim even tho it makes everything else hard to look at

hey !! i’ve installed you shader and it looks amazing, however my laptop runs so badly when i have it on. do you know how to perhaps make it run better, like perhaps any files i can take out that won’t affect it maybe ?

thank you so much! this was a good tutorial but the black lines are not shaped fully on my screen or you can say it just doesnt fit my screen. do you have anyway way i can make it fit my screen, and if not do u have anyway i can delete the line??
okay so I changed the global thing to 0 however it didn't like change like at all, how do I get that outline around the sim and lighting less bright?

I have problem few of the shade in this pack including the one you made are "failed to compile" anyone know how to fix this problem I tried deleting and reinstalling reshade and even it with out the mxao and I still get errors :/
i dont know why when i start my sims up and open the reshade tab i see that i have ur shaders selected but its not popping up in the home tab ? I dont see bloom, or the MXAO that i installed as well, not too sure why this is happening id love a fix :C idk if i did it wrong or not

Does it not work for steam on sims 4? Because I downloaded my game from steam. I can find the folder but it keeps saying its a error in my folders somewhere when i load my game and press home to select a present. But the presents when i download them they dont say ini on the end of them, and idk y.

How do you make the building menu less see through? I tried figuring it out, but i dont want to mess up anything. If there's a way of making it easier to see and more solid it would be helpful!!
hii thank you so much for sharing this it did help me a lot and my game looks so much better already! though i have one question: for me the outlines are only around the silhouette of the sim if you know what i mean, not around the jawline for example. itd be such great help if you could tell me how to fix that !!
try turning off edge smoothing in ur games graphics settings!

hey ! ! i have disabled edge smoothing though the outlines are still not showing up, what do i do?
Lots of pple have a problem with the outlines showing because their luma is wrong which is the thickness or contour line of the outline. without a working luma the outlines can get crunchy or not show . To fix this you can try going into your reshade settings and scroll to "edit global reprocessor definitions" in home and change the settings to the following:
Outlines 2 (Mesh edges):
enabled = type
3.00 / 3.00 = power, slope
1.00 = line width
-1.000 / 1.000 / 0.344 = distance strength
check add to debug layer
Luma saturation weight:
0.405 / 1.000 / 0.253 = Luma
-1.000 / 1.000 / 1.000 = saturation
Im not sure if this is a garunteed fix but you can try it out and let me know if it solved the issue! ^^
i turned off the smoothing in settings and put the reshade on 0 but still no edges:(

How do you delete it? I love your reshade, but my laptop, unfortunately, can't handle it. I went through all the files I added stuff to and deleted it but when I press home in game the thing still shows up :(

my game was able to handle gshade up until the other day or week (can’t remember) and the. it started lagging rlly bad, only when i used a preset tho. i’m using reshape atm and it’s fine until i use a preset and my computer is able to handle it so idk what’s happening, i’ve repaired, updated, uninstalled and reinstalled my game and idk what to do. please help xx

I had reshade and i uninstalled it accidentally and i tried to get it again with a newer version and it wont let me it says that i finished the installing but when i exit and go into my game its not there
