Thank for playing this game. Budokai Tenakaichi 3 has always been my childhood video game. It brings back memories when I always fight with my brother but now I miss him because we no longer treat each other as close family. I miss my childhood
As someone who has owned the game(PS2 version) since shortly after it came out, I hope this information relevant to things shown in the video comes to good use. If anyone thought Krillin was taking a lot of damage here compared to other characters, he(for whatever arbitrary reason) has 10% less defense than most characters in this game. As an example, Goku being hit with Syn Shenron's boosted(not MAX-powered) Blazing Storm without modifiers on either side deals a flat 10000; Krillin takes 11000 instead. Krillin's partially/fully charged Ki shot is a modestly damaging and well tracking Destructo Disk, and is one of the few attacks in the game that pierce through guarding since it deals full damage and can knock off balance. Good for putting pressure on opponents from a distance without having to use specials as they are forced to move or eat it. Solar Flare(his and everyone who has it) does not work on the following characters, forms, and outfits even at point blank: Great Saiyaman, Master Roshi unless battle-damaged or as Jackie Chun(color 2), Great Saiyaman 2, Dr. Wheelo, Pilaf Machine/Fused Pilaf Machine, and finally Cyborg Tao. After Image Strike lasts roughly over 15 seconds. It works much like the regular After Image ability(the one that can be stacked up to three times) in that it will try to avoid all regular melee strikes and grabs, and projectile specials, except on activation it will always cause your Ki gauge to slow down at recharging. Unless you're in a bad pinch, try to use it near or at full energy bars and charge a bit into blue energy to remove the penalty(this is the only way to remove the penalty during battle aside from switching characters. Same applies to almost all characters with abilities that automatically put a character into MAX power for that matter, unless they have a transformation or de-powering state available to them). Using it during MAX power will simply have the penalty show up afterwards instead of preventing it by the way. When going against this, use ki blasts, Rush specials, or attack in the brief periods that they're either flinching or performing an action to hit through the ability as it does not avoid these things; Multiple-projectile specials are ineffective though, as the first tick or two may hit, but the rest will miss if nothing else is keeping them occupied and likely isn't while the ability lasts. Kamehameha and similar charged abilities are best used when the sound cue similar to a charged regular attack comes up; Roughly up to 1 second window of opportunity to launch at full power before further holding the attacks depowers it(makes no sense, but I didn't make the game) and it eventually fires automatically. Broly LSSJ always starts with an additional layer of stun resistance that several of the normal height characters can only achieve naturally by going into MAX power. Ergo, you need to be at MAX power yourself to neutralize that with basic attacks if you are using one of the numerous characters that lack an extra bit of stun power from the norm, though if he's at MAX power, he's getting an extra layer on top of it, so prevent that or make sure you're successfully charging your blows long enough, cause he will not flinch(which is why one of the leg sweeps did not knock him off balance even though it connected). Only Hercule has level 0 on stunning and resisting being stunned by default by the way, should he appear as an opponent in that particular tournament as he occasionally does. And finally, you are highly encouraged to charge regular blows while aiming down to the grass, against a wall, or onto the building itself if a fast ring out is what you're looking for. Understand however that the launching ranges are nerfed in that particular area, so striking an opponent with full HP onto a ring out may place you very close to where you're supposed to hit them into in the first place... HOWEVER, there are certain Rush specials that may send a foe down without altering positions, so learn who those are(too many to point as examples). PS: Krillin's pushback attack where he creates a wave blast (3 squares + holding triangle in a PS2 controller) will have him teleport onto the opponent if the Ki button is pressed again to attempt to bash them downwards if the first hit was charged long enough after sending an opponent away with it.
