- Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 was an amazing game and the best thing about it was its World tournament mode! That is why its a shame that with new releases like Dragonball Super and even The new DBS Broly and Dragonball super super hero movies that we havent gotten Dragonball Z Budokai tenkaichi 4 to play a tournament in... Until now.

Budokai Tenkaichi needs a new game, would be nice if the developers brought back this series. The tournament mode is tough
the raging blast games were pretty close to the tenkaichi games...unfortunately they didn´t have as many characters...

Silhouette dude is one of the base Xenoverse protags (there's 4 of them i think: human, saiyan, namekian, boo).
The mod changes the simulation minigame to be like the Xenoverse plotline.

I can't say how hyped I am to see this game again and with Doto
I remember playing so much dragonball tenkaichi 2 as a kid which is basically the same game as tenkaichi 3 and the nostalgia is insane, yeah the tournament was definitely always this hard, this game has a lot of mechanics in your two special moves which use the bars blue that build overtime (not the KI guage) to get the upperhand, there is also a lot of situational tech for example if you are mashing and the enemy uses an ability that costs ki you can press the block button and hold a direction to do a small teleport out of the path of the beam or flank a rush power.
You did this once on accident, if you remember.
Theres a lot more to the game than I personally remember, I used to play it ALL the time and it's basically what got me into DBZ
It drove me nuts that Doto never got to see who that silhouetted character was.
Gravity Bash was the "red rasengan" Goku did against Broly in the movie during the first fight

The scripts for these videos have been great so far, setting up super 17 after 17 and Gotenks SSJ3 after base Gotenks are all great touches. I especially like how you made goku blue reach the finals. I understand you had to lose for the sake of the script and our entertainment

As someone with quite a few hundred hours in this game, I think the modders boosted the AI. Also they give them permabuffs on level 3. Also if you wanna try the red potaras, i know how to get them for BT4.

I knew right away he was going to get thrashed and I had to see it XD Just got this mod myself the other day and as best I can tell the tournaments are always level 3 and the AI is a good bit smarter than usual, better at reacting to your attacks.(except the one time it just ran into the wall on it's own- we both got lucky there!) Plus they seem to have more health and the tournament specifically buffs them... I remember feeling bored with the tournament, but now it's seriously tough!
Run it back Doto! You gotta finish that tournament!

I used to play this game (well BT3 not BT4) about every day after (elementary) school with my friend and it is so nice to see this game getting attention after so much time. So hyped to play this in summer when I have the time :D. Hopefully we get this rivalry going again, legit the best dragonball game I have ever played. Nowadays just playing Yayirobe vs Yayirobe and random teams in bt3 but hopefully the bt4 cast will get the tension going again!

The Character Silhouette is the Time Patroller that you find in the "Time Nest" Game Mode, however the character that is replacing (Perfect Cell ID Slot) makes it so that it still shows up in tournaments and even in the Cell Games it shows up in the Final Round
Also yes, the Difficulty of the Tournaments is increased with Z Items given to the CPU, you need to equip some Z Items to even stand a chance
Absolutely love this hope to see you play with nanogenix or seereax over some online somehow on this game love budokai tenchichi 3 hope they make a real tenchichi 4 someday!
