my biggest pet peeve is when people says space is “to large” for a reptile when the reptile would have even more space in the wild, and sure if it’s a baby maybe start with a smaller space but there is not such a thing as too big of an inclosure for an animal that would have even more space in the wild
True, I assume they're thinking that the enclosure is like a burrow and some species like tight spaces? Idk it's faulty thinking. I'm wondering if you could put a baby in an adult enclosure with more cover and just remove some cover as they grow
@@Persona6Blue I've never understood why someone would think the whole enclosure is their "burrow" or "home" that's what the hides are or some will make their own in loose substrate. The other two were put in there were constatly fighting, so he got another slightly bigger enclousre, but put both of them in there and was surprised they were still fighting. He ended up puting a scorpion in it. No idea what happed to the cresties, propably killed each other. He also had a pac man frog for maybe 2 years before it died, had a tortoise (this seemed taken care of but idk about tortoises), '"lost" a dart frog in a fan, and killed a leopard gecko. The thing that bothered me the most about scrolling his profile is he's an armored car driver that is constantly getting high on the job while conceal carrying. Like wtf dude smoke pot all you want, but not if you're driving and especially not if you have a firearm. It's a felony to be in possession of marijuana and a firearm. Seriously fuck that guy.
@@Snowstar837 Two things I didn't metion that I think are kinda amusing if it wasn't so sad: 1) He wanted to breed the three cresties, plus one his friend had and thought he could get $600-$800 for any babies 2) Someone actually linked Emerald Scales in the comments of one of the 3/4 posts telling him to rehome them
That’s ridiculously horrible. This is why cohabitation in cresties is bad, not to mention all the other pets who died. I feel bad for them. How the hell do you loose a dart frog? They don’t sound like a pet you should be putting near a fan. Sounds like a horrible person.
I started using the vacuum near my crestie pretty much as soon as he came home with us and he still has his tail 3 years in. Our theory is, if you expose them to loud noises early on, it will reduce their anxiety of loud noises. We have kids running around and everything. It may be just a fluke, but who knows.
I live in a very loud environment and my 5 year old crestie still has a tail. My first ever crestie had her tail her whole life. My third crestie doesnt have a tail but i adopted them without it cause she was the prettiest of the batch lol
Totally different species, but same thjng with my leopard gecko. She completely ignores the vacuum and walks around her tank to watch me. She’s never seemed to be too afraid of loud noises
“The enclosure is too big for a crested gecko” You’ve heard it here folks, wild geckos only live in small spaces and panic when they realize that their habitat is huge
@@6thdayreptiles414 The small cage idea is likely a combo of 1) pricing (since nicely-sized, good quality enclosures are often stupidly expensive) and 2) lack of desire to change your lifestyle to accomodate the animal's needs. Most people aren't willing to change up their house to have, for instance, a properly sized 5+ gallon tank for something as small as one Betta or a 20+ gallon for one fancy goldfish, so asking for similar sizing upgrades for a little lizard like a crestie is equally unlikely to happen. There's just a huge disconnect between "small animal needs a decent space b/c this will be their whole world" and "small animal must like a small place to hide, right?". Unfortunately this means the animal often suffers 😕
@@thejasminedragonmerchant6843 i can understand an agree to that, my crestie is in a cage that i wish i could make a little bit bigger, but for space reasons hes stuck in it (i swear its not torturously tiny, just a wee bit smaller than what i think he should have)
I have a Crestie and they’re literally so easy to care for, people seriously need to educate themselves before adopting an actual animal. It’s literally a life that you’re responsible for.
Literally! I have to put more time and attention into my dogs for them to happy and healthy than I do for my leopard geckos as long as they get clean water & their poop cleaned up, heating, UV light, and their vitamins they’re good to go it’s very easy to keep them healthy
Yeah, so many people impulse buy pets , some of the most common examples are: Fish ( Goldfish specifically) , Hamsters, rabbits , birds, reptiles !!! I hate when people don’t know anything about an animal and are surprised with it as a gift or they go and get them randomly!!! And it’s even harder when it’s a friend
@@foxesproject5031 This!! Before getting a pet you need to make sure that you have everything ready for them and that you know how to take care of him/her properly.
In additional defense of that super long tank: Those liveplants are small now but will grow and provide lots of cover. They could honestly just put a divider to split the tank for both geckos and and sticks and be all set. I wish I had that much space tbh
I was actually thinking this, although it looked like they had a water fountain in the middle, but if they moved it and added in two separate waterfalls with a divider between they’d be all set, preferably a solid one because seeing another gecko can cause anxiety. Honestly reptile keepers can be nit picky sometimes. A divider and multiple feeding stations and they’d be all good. I wish I had a cooler cage like that.
10:36 it literally doesn’t matter if the horizontal space is a lot as long as they have the needed vertical space, there’s kinda no such think as an enclosure too big but yes too bare.
Had my Crestie for 2 years and she had her tail. Vacuumed, watched TV, computer work no problem. I sneezed one day and she dropped her tail. I was devastated and blamed myself for a long time, so I get were that post is coming from. But I had to realize that honestly I was overdue and that it was gonna happen. Now she’s 5 years old and perfectly fine. Honestly, it happens, it’s something that a crestie owner just needs to know that they are gonna drop their tail over the dumbest thing.
@@maggiepie8810 I mainly blamed myself in that I did something wrong with my husbandry so it is why I took it so personal. Compared to all the other species I've owned I have never had them drop their tail (I have taken in reptiles that have had dropped them before I received them), but since it was just a sneeze it was really crushing in that it was something so stupid, like I didn't grab her or pinch her, just sneezed. It happens and honestly I'm so used to crestie frog butts its how I picture them when describing them.
I'm so glad that snakes cant drop their tail because if they could my ball python wouldn't have a tail. She is so easily spooked it is funny. She has spooked herself several times when her own tail or body got too close to her face. WHile she was moving completely on her own too
Knew somebody who couldnt take care of a sand boa. He decided to sell it and instead he decided he wanted a gargoyle gecko. I told him it's a bad idea and he said too late everything's ordered. Just a reminder that just because you're 18 doesn't mean you're an adult.
I was in a pet shop in a mall talking to my mother about crested geckos and a lady came out of one of the aisles and told me that some crested geckos have eye lids. One of those moments where you just have to smile and move on.
Just bought my crestie a week ago. We got my daughter a leopard and then I decided I wanted a crestie. My daughter and I did extensive research on both of them before ever purchasing them. We also bought their tanks before hand and set them up before even going to purchase our Leo & crestie. While I was at the pet store picking out my crestie the employee offered me to adopt a rescue that had frog butt 🐸 🍑 (no tail), but then she realized that it had been adopted out earlier that day. While I was choosing between the other cresties we were talking about how easily they drop their tail when another employee came up to us and tried to tell us that crested geckos do not/cannot drop their tails🤦🏻♀️ I had to argue with her that they most certainly do and that it's quite common because they are a bit skiddish. Then she proceeded to tell us that beardies can drop their tail and regrow it! I once again had to correct her that beardies do not have the ability to drop their tails and can only lose their tails by being in a fight or ripped off, and that they do not regrow. Leo's can drop their tails and regrow them not beardies. I learned all of this just by doing my own research when choosing what lizard fit best for my lifestyle. I do not understand how a petstore employee can be so uneducated on animals and give out so much (unwanted) misinformation. Petstores need to train and educate their employees a lot more, and customers need to do their own research before buying one.
@@cherrybomb3033 i agree with you. I have a lily white crested gecko that dropped its tail about a month ago and I also had a breardi that never dropped its tail. How skid-dish a crested gecko is varies by gecko. The lily white I have is all over the place and won’t really let me hold her but I have another one that is SO CHILL and she still has her tail. She will crawl into my hands and is so easy to handle.
I’ve noticed a lot of the time the spring tails come out of cocoblox. They’re EVERYWHERE. Also, when your reptile dies (especially snakes) you’re gonna know… there are few smells worse that dead snake. They rot hard and fast and it really sucks.
Cohabbing cresties is controversial, but in my experience, it's okay, as long as they're babies, or a proper breeding pair (3+ geckos [never 2 males] is recommended, but I've found that 2 is okay, with specific pairs). The bigger the enclosure, the better cohabbing goes, from what I've seen
Both of mine still have their tails and a healthy weight of 38 grams each. Never had an instance where they'd scream or fight eachother. Both females. One was a week older than the other but the other ended up growing into the others size within a couple weeks. Super chonky girls love em.
@@pale4146 I have a similar experience, but mine are still pretty young. I have two respectful males and two respectful females (males kept separately), and all combinations seem to work well, other than two males, which I've never tested, and I never want to test it, cause I know it's not safe for them XD
Yoooo, I've used Dubia several times and it's great!! They sell by weight, not by bug, so sometimes you get a couple extra bugs. They also sell general reptile supplies for dirt cheap.
I have a very noisy house, my cresties enclosure is in the same room as the tv that my brother is always blasting and the hangout spot where my dog barks like a maniac, and she’s completely fine. My mom also vacuums in that room too and she just sleeps through it, so it’s honestly better to have a noisy environment so ur crestie is less prone to drop their tail
also a loyal dubia fan here, they are excellent with order where there was an accident or something wrong with the bugs on arrival. had an order where most bugs arrived black and dead, sent images and received a fresh re-order for free two days later
Dogs won't just instantly eat any small animal especially if trained well. I used to have a rat and a jack russell and I could trust him to find the rat when they escaped.
Fair enough. Although I think his critique of it in general is valid because the vast number of dog owners don’t train said dogs. It seems most barely understand that it is a living thing, much less something that needs instruction
Go herpings channel is the only thing I watch. Alex uploads a video, I watch it instantly and then wait patiently for a new one. While I wait, I rewatch older videos. Life sucks and I need go herping to give me happiness with his quality entertainment. (:

Alex please do anything that involves your beautiful B-roll of animals doing actually anything. Watching them while you talk is what got me hooked on your channel in 2019
We had our first crested gecko like seven or eight years ago and my dog was absolutely terrified of him he got out one time and we were looking for him everywhere and when we walked into the kitchen my dog was sitting in the corner shaking and the gecko was on the floor in little alligator mode just standing there staring at the dog
I don't get the "the enclosure is too big" argument. Like dude, Crested Geckos live on a whole island from beginning to end of their lives in the wild. Is New Caledonia too big for Crested Geckos? Bare? Yeah sure, you could say the enclosure is too bare but at the same time, the plants will grow out and it's as simple as just adding more stuff into the it.
Thank you for introducing me to The Dubia people!!! Their selection is awesome and the prices aren’t bad. I can finally introduce my boys to some new foods (even though they are probably too picky to try them) Everytime I watch UA-cam I end up buying something 😂
ive got three crested geckos. one of them is 6 years old and hasn’t lost his tail. the other two are 4 years old and only one lost her tail. i cried when i woke up and found her wiggling tail so i understand OP’s post tbh
Incredible and absolutely infuriating. Thank you for calling them out and showing WHAT YOU MOST DEFINITELY SHOULD NOT DO WITH YOUR PETS of any kind, but especially these tiny, basically defensive sweethearts. My rule of thumb is that if you wouldn’t want it done to you then don’t do it to them. Oh wow, I could easily get on a roll, I’ll step down from my soapbox now.
I have a 10 year old cresty who's heard baby scream, teenager freakouts, made it through a apartment fire, the list could go on... Andddd Ol' grump Sit Henry Clayton still has his tail.
My first pair of crested geckos were cohabbed. And both of them had their tails. For any cohab situation you just really have to make sure the enclosure is twice his size as you would have for one. 4 wide, 4 tall and 2 deep is perfect for a 1.2 group
i have to agree with you in the second one i take out my leopard gecko and my cats come into my room but they don’t even know he exists and i literally will never ever leave him unsupervised OR let him off of my body if the cats around but sometimes i just wanna hang out with both of my children at the same time ToT
Hi Goherping, I recently got a house gecko, and can find little to no good info/content on them, maybe one of these days you could do a vid on them, theyre super cool and cute :)
2:50 - You gotta admit, for a mammal it's kind of understandable. We didn't evolve to drop limbs when the vacuum is running :/ I'd worry too even though I KNOW it happens lol. Just feels bad.
I have to agree that I can't stand how aggressive some crestie owners and spaces can be about having other animals in the house when you have cresties. I've literally seen forums that claim they will ban users that talk about having "predator" animals in the same house, especially if they are allowed in the Poster's "reptile room". (Since having a reptile room for only those reptiles is also a required care for a lot of more toxic owners it seems.) But in my case, I have three cats and a Dog in my house and none of them pay any attention to the geckos. Ironically my geckos are always jumping on the glass trying to eat them when they pass by, especially my cream colored cat. I get that there are cases of irresponsible pet care when it comes to multiple species in a home.. but I think some people get a little too worked up about it even to responsible owners. As for the tank setup, I don't see why they were so mad. That tank was awesome and an active crestie would LOVE that much space to run around in. Especially once the plants and whatnot filled it in. Most big time breeders keep cresties in plastic tubs customized for proper ventilation because it's far more affordable than 300 USD Arboreal tanks, so I think that giant tank would have been more than fantastic for a crestie. (Aside from the fact the owner in the particular post apparently had a history of being irresponsible with animals..)
"they probably already had parasites. So I just gave them double...parasites..." why are you naturally the funniest person ever? I find you browsing the internet for beginner reptile content and not in the hundreds of stand up comedy videos I've watched? Untapped potential!!!!
The biggest problem I could think of when your tank is "too big" is that I would never see my gecko again :B My tank is 45x60x90, literally the largest I could fit :p Its got a lot of foilage, both real and fake, and its a game of hide and seek every morning to figure out where the gecko is sleeping XD
6:08 PLEASE THATS SO ACCURATE💀 I have a watermelon flavored Crested gecko food and Jupiter will sniff my hand and walk away without even licking any off, doesn't touch it in her bowl either🥲
I always hear so much information about cresties, I don't really hear much about gargoyles or sarasinorums. Do they also have a tendency to get scared and suddenly autotomize their tails?
I just love everything you do and say!!!Just ordered from Dubia loved their selection and prices.I have my own reptile rescue and have learned so much Ty!!
one time my mom had 2 of the crested geckos out to look at each other one was smaller than the other so the big one bit the small so you should keep cresties away from each other unless breeding.
I'm thinking about getting a Leopard Gecko, or really any smaller lizard in general. I've done some research on them, does anyone have any tips to help me out?
I don't understand the argument of an enclosure being too big considering the natural state these animals come from. As long as you are properly maintaining the space does it really matter how larger it is? Or am I missing something?
My crestie was born without a tail, and was very stunted from the second he hatched. We adopted him when he was a year old from a local breaded I knew. We never really knew what was wrong with him, sadly it caused him to not live super long tho. I was happy to have him for the two of his 3 years of life tho. While he was alive he was very food driven, lively, and loved to climb on me. I just wish I knew what caused his issues 😞
When i was a kid my dad thought my anole needed some natural sunlight so he brought it outside. But he brought the whole tank outside.. he turned my anole into a french fry 😂 We never got a reptile again.
The meme about the gecko not liking watermelon flavored is my little brat. Won't eat anything but watermelon flavored. Also the brain damage yes. I swear he launches himself off of everything and when I try to catch him he goes nope and jumps again. I swear he's got Brian damage
I have to be honest as a pet owner I have had bad luck with exotic animals cause I was also new but once I did more research and revised through my mistakes I found my best exotic pet named Hugo he's my first crested gecko and I will always give him the best for him ❤️
I cannot understand people who cry that a terrarium is "too big"... There is no such thing as a too big of an enclosure, there can be one that's too bare but never too big! Like do these people think they live inside enclosures in the wild too or what? Signed: an animal nurse who loves crested geckos and has a terrarium nearly ready for one from Finland where the minimum for crestie terrariums is bigger than what most of those people have for their cresties...
I just know these people in the video are going to piss me off so im not going to watch, just wanted to give a like and say i will see ya in the next one!! ❤
Okay in defense of the tail drop story I fee that 100%. I’ve had my crestie for 4 years and my biggest fear is her dropping her tail. All I’ve known is her with a tail so it wouldn’t feel right and I’d probably cry too. I do love frog butt cresties though so no shade on the tail-less
When i had a crestie i got a frog butt so i didnt need to stress about the tail dropping lol but i have a friend and she's moved a couple times once because her house was tore apart by a hurricane, she has loud parrots in the same room as her crestie, all sorts of loud stuff and this dang lizard doesnt spook and has her tail still. She's awesome lol
I have a legit question. So sometimes when i feed mealworms to my leopard gecko one or so escapes and i don't notice it. Then it becomes a beetle, why don't the geckos eat the beetle?
Cresties will literally listen to a vacuum and not bat an eye, but you could look at them funny and they’ll drop their tail ha ha. In the wild no adults have a tail. Expect them to drop.
The idea of giving someone greif for giving their pet top MUCH space is just bizarre to me. Like... yall realize they live in a jungle, right? As in, outside? Addition: Of course you don't want the enclosure to be so big that they have difficulty finding food, or that you have difficulty finding them when you want to do a health check, etc., but with those things in mind I don't know why too much space would be a concern.
Interesting that it's Korean, I guess there's a sizeable gecko base there. I actually saw a video this week of a guy who orderred 3 morphs of geckos he had been looking for, he bought them from a Korean seller. The seller, according to him, was just a single person and had fairly recently started breeding himself, I didn't really vette the seller. My only point is that I had no idea South Korea had such a presence in the reptile community. As with all communities there are people who do it right and those who do it wrong, just have to be cautious and look into every seller before making a purchase. I bought a Rosy Boa in November, my second snake ever. The first snake/seller, I got bit (bad pun). The snake didn't bite, but she had an infection in her tail. It was bad enough that even with antibiotics prescribed from a culture sample, done each time she was on antibiotics that she didn't make it. Surgery wasn't an option sadly, so she passed. I was very careful when I bought the second Rosy, looked into the seller, communicated a half dozen times, and it was an awesome experience.
I’ve been on R/crestedgecko for a while now and have never seen anything bad. I have to defend the person who had a gecko on the couch with dogs like 6 Ft away. It seems they’re paying avid attention to their gecko since it’s right next to them. I have done this before with my cats in the same room, but I always pay upmost attention to them. If they are near, I am always careful. I beat myself up for a while about my gecko who ended up dying in the middle of the night because I accidentally fell asleep with him in bed with me. It wasn’t a common thing and I had never slept with him in the bed before. It was a total accident. It’s strange to see bad stuff on the sub because I pretty much never have. I would never abuse my gecko or hurt it, and I’m very careful with them as much as possible. I lizardsit my mom’s gecko sometimes since I no longer have one, and she stays in her cage 90% of the time.
I’m sorry you lost that one gecko, it must’ve been hard. Accidents happen, but it always sucks when you end up with the worst possible outcome. You seem very responsible with your animals, so try not to beat yourself up too much (although it’s easier said than done).
I cohab two cresties together, I wont say they "get along" so much as they completely ignore eachothers presence. Both just climb over eachother and dont even acknowledge that the other ones there now. I will say tho anytime you cohab anything make sure your always on top of feeding so resources dont become an issue to compete over. Separate food dishes and regular gutload tong feeding to make sure each one is full.
Maybe I’m naive but I don’t get the comments on that one enclosure saying there’s “too much space” like I don’t have experience with anything yet cus I can’t get a reptile while I live where I do, maybe there’s something to this I’m missing but like… it’s an animal. Animals not captive bred tend to live … outside. Where there’s no enclosures no boundaries to speak of. With that in mind I don’t think captive bred gecko will have its mind implode from being given a lot of space? I dunno I don’t get the issue.
my friend has a ball python and she didn't even know what springtails were so needless to say she was never near them but somehow there's an entire army of springtails in there
We've a crestie at work that's 5yrs old with his tail intact, and we don't know how... Because there's loud kids, the cat jumping around the reptile house and me, the clumsy bull in a China shop, and he doesn't even flinch 😳
When I let my bearded dragon walk around my yard my dog doesn't mess with him she's a pit bull an usually will just lay down near an keep an eye on my lizard she is very protective on it sometimes lol she barked at me a few Times now just for picking my lizard up

Heres a question, ive got a Leopard Gecko, who refuses to eat anything other than mealworms, or freezedried grasshoppers. I've been trying to get her to eat everything from superworms, to nightcrawlers, to soldier flies. No luck. She is a pet store rescue. friend called me up, said the petshop was closing and this chain has left reptiles behind after closing a location before, so i went and picked one up. Hes gotten his leo from the same batch to move on to superworms, but mine just stares at the live bugs, with seemingly no idea what to do with them. To avoid health issues, i am using a nutribullet to make a bug slurry i am feeding to her. Any suggestions to get her to eating like she should? I've asked the local exotics vet, but her knowledge is made up of google searches.
@@nightinggale6470 Much appreciated, i was able to get her to eat some silk worms, but only a few, before she started spitting them back out. My understanding is the breeder the pet shop got their supply from fed a puree of bugs to their leos so they arent used to live food.
If that tank is too big.... How small is a wild crested's tank? Oh, right. They don't live in tanks. They live in a big, open world. Is that too big, too? What's wrong with these people? xD
I co hab all of my crested geckos, there are two in each 24 x 18 exo terra. All pairs are female and sisters. They all have their tails and I've never seen any issues between them. I don't breed and have no males. The oldest pair is over 7 years old.
The crested gecko death checklist is for people like me. My crestie, coming back home, literally went into a state of clinical death for a few hours, but he's fine now.

I don’t have a crestie but I want to get one and I’ve done more research then these actual owners… also, cohabing can be dangerous but it’s common practice and as long as you monitor and don’t keep males together they can live in pairs or even groups
I’ve been considering getting a crested gecko for a while, but I’m really not sure because I agree, I think they look a little freaky 😅 but the patternless Olive morph made me reconsider…I’m still not sure though
We got my daughter a leopard gecko for her bday and I fell in love. I decided that I wanted a lizard as well, but didn't want to have to have a colony of crickets/bugs. After doing tons of research on Leo's, beardies, and cresties, I decided that a crestie was the perfect fit for me because they only eat live insects 1-2 times a week and their main diet is powered crestie food like Pangea and Rapashy. I just got my crestie named Zeppelin a week ago and I love him so much. He is kind of shy and likes to stay hidden, but comes out at night to play. Cresties are pretty easy to care for and are pretty good with being handled (although they like to jump). I say if you really are wanting one, have done extensive research on crestie care, can afford, and have the correct husbandry (cage, thermo/hygrometer, tons of live/fake plants and vines, hides, food/water ledge, substrate, uvb lighting, calcium & d3 supplements, and branches), then go for it.
I'm with you on the second one. Unless it specifically stresses out the gecko that there is another animal or the dogs go crazy when around the gecko it is perfectly fine as long as the owner is paying close attention to the gecko so something like [Insert Chomp Noise] doesn't happen. In my own case my mom owns a Chihuahua and I had a veiled chameleon. Turns out the dog was the one scared of the chameleon 🤣The chameleon didn't give 2 shits no bad color change, no hyperventilating, no puffind up nothin. He was chill. Of course I ain't completely braindead I kept him away from the dog and when the dog was near I usually put him back in his enclosure sooner.

Wow, that is... a trip.
@@Snowstar837 Two things I didn't metion that I think are kinda amusing if it wasn't so sad:
1) He wanted to breed the three cresties, plus one his friend had and thought he could get $600-$800 for any babies
2) Someone actually linked Emerald Scales in the comments of one of the 3/4 posts telling him to rehome them
That’s ridiculously horrible.

Got mine as babies, came from a loud store into a super loud house. They all have their tails and are super friendly

“The enclosure is too big for a crested gecko”
You’ve heard it here folks, wild geckos only live in small spaces and panic when they realize that their habitat is huge
My same thoughts 😂😂😂 I bet those are the happiest cresties ever!!!! I WISHHHH I could afford a enclosure that huge!
@@Noelle509 ikr hahaha
Thank you! Seriously i don’t understand the whole small cage thing

@@ellebirch5770 crested geckos don’t need heat unless it’s cold in your home, they like about 72 to 75 precent heat
I wish I had a cooler cage like that.
it baffles me how people can suck at caring for the easiest pets ever
10:36 it literally doesn’t matter if the horizontal space is a lot as long as they have the needed vertical space, there’s kinda no such think as an enclosure too big but yes too bare.
Could they potentially get stuck in the plants if they’re super small?

Had my Crestie for 2 years and she had her tail. Vacuumed, watched TV, computer work no problem. I sneezed one day and she dropped her tail. I was devastated and blamed myself for a long time, so I get were that post is coming from. But I had to realize that honestly I was overdue and that it was gonna happen. Now she’s 5 years old and perfectly fine. Honestly, it happens, it’s something that a crestie owner just needs to know that they are gonna drop their tail over the dumbest thing.
I've heard that most adult cresties in the wild don't have tails, either, so...
I had two raised together from babies one ended up loosing half her tail.
@@kazooo. sometimes that happens. Some geckos just aren't compatible, and that's okay!
So I just gave them double...parasites..."
why are you naturally the funniest person ever? I find you browsing the internet for beginner reptile content and not in the hundreds of stand up comedy videos I've watched? Untapped potential!!!!
The biggest problem I could think of when your tank is "too big" is that I would never see my gecko again :B
My tank is 45x60x90, literally the largest I could fit :p Its got a lot of foilage, both real and fake, and its a game of hide and seek every morning to figure out where the gecko is sleeping XD

I'm thinking about getting a Leopard Gecko, or really any smaller lizard in general. I've done some research on them, does anyone have any tips to help me out?
Everything that person said about the enclosure being to big, not tall enough etc. 100% correct.
I can’t believe people. That makes me sick. We have 20 cresties currently and I can’t imagine treating them like that. How sad.
One thing I saw in some of these enclosures is that they are mostly longer than tall. Crested geckos like taller tanks then long.

She's awesome lol
I must have this gecko's chill energy sent to my new baby crestie I just got today-
I have a legit question.
"don't leave a voice-mail with a picture" lol
TANKS ARE NEVER TOO BIG, just too bare!

I'm new to a leapard gecko I have put my dogs put the my but my leapord was interested my dogs have.trained for many fears and my gecko touched my dog and didn't really mind or worrie but we didn't let them be together for alot of time
I don’t have a crestie but I want to get one and I’ve done more research then these actual owners… also, cohabing can be dangerous but it’s common practice and as long as you monitor and don’t keep males together they can live in pairs or even groups
I’ve been considering getting a crested gecko for a while, but I’m really not sure because I agree, I think they look a little freaky 😅 but the patternless Olive morph made me reconsider…I’m still not sure though
You should do it :) absolutely loved having our crested panda he was such a friendly little guy
I may have been gone
But still need your protractor
Now that I am back
Let me buy your protractor because haiku
