Thank you for featuring me in your video (the custom above-tank basking area)! I’m a big fan of your videos and am so happy that my setup was featured!
It's just so plain. Like if you are gonna paint furniture you gotta give it something. Crackle paint, patina effects, et cetera...just a solid color of paint makes it look so boring and cheap.
I work at a vet hospital that sees cats, dogs, and exotics. The only hedgehog I've dealt with kept huffing and jumping it was so mad. It had fear aggression but it was so cute. We couldn't touch it, to do the exam we had to put it in a clear tub and view it from the bottom
@GoHerping for the last picture, i have owned a hedgehog, and to answer your question, when you first pick them up, they get scared and spike up, and it kinda hurts depending on how you grab them, but once they calm down they feel really cool
Coconut hide can be bought at walmart, In the bottom of the Zen is the Zen brand liner, and the beardie was in the tank at the second picture. As for the 'designer' you didnt notice but the plants were all aquarium plants LOL
Dude you were like the father to my learning. A teacher if you will, when I first got a ball Python. It pains me to say I fell off in life, I got rid of her and gave her to my brother who is 10x the man with her. I still watch your content regardless. Thanks Alex.
It makes me sad when I see a very large enclosures relatively empty like if I had the opportunity to have a large reptile and enclosure it would be a jungle so much potential 😫

for the leopard geckos iv had iv always offered a hammock just the simple generic green mesh but they where used for basking. hunting or even in one case a toilet XD
Getting in on your palpable rage for painting brick houses. The other sin is that it's almost impossible to remove the paint since the brick is porous. Also, brick should be able to breathe, it can rot and break down if it can't, like when it's painted.
There are several varieties of fence and rock lizards across North America, and that looks like one sort or another. I don’t know the exact taxonomy of those species, but that’s definitely one of ‘em. I freaking LOVE fence lizards and rock lizards!! They’re nostalgic.
I’m dead!! I was like half paying attention then I realized u gave my background 5 stars. I feel soo dumb I ripped it up because I couldn’t get the door to work. I knew I should have kept trying with that door. Now it’s just sitting in the corner and I still don’t know how to get the door to work. I mean it has more then just that problem. I don’t think I had the right tools and it needed topside ventilation because the top wood was just getting too hot. And I really underestimated how big my bearded dragon was so those shelves just were not big enough. It was my first diy and it was a massive headache and I think I just need some help with it.
Viewer from OR here, and yeah it's a Western Fence Lizard! Also, those coconut w ladder things are a bird accessory you can buy, I have one in my leopard geckos tank. Finally, just wanted to mention that the crested gecko enclosure you reviewed was actually a gargoyle gecko. :P
I can relate to not liking painted brick. You have to be a special kind of weird to enjoy it. My neighbors painted theirs black, and while it matches the rest of the house better now color-wise, the black brick texture just looks awful IMO.
I get the creativity but the pink in that first one is a little...too much for me. Last I checked, the Pakistani desert isn't pink....this pink sequel to Blue by Eiffel 65 is the sequel we didn't deserve, but needed Also 4:04 looks like an enclosure the Flintstones would build for their pets 💀
I have a hedgehog lol When they have their spines up they feel about as sharp as a toothpick, if they are relaxed and their spines are down it's like touching a hairbrush.
Dude your voice is real calm and quiet you have a positive demeanor my brother.."not trying to be weird here"..you'll be really gud with kids, I'd be a teacher if I were you 😅🤷🏽♂️ 4th or 5th grade reason why cause of the positive tone in your voice#godblessbrother
Bricks and cement can get damaged by constant humidity, certain paint can protect them from the elements. Now you know why you should paint your brick house (if you live in an humid or prone to storm area)
Hedgehogs aren't painful to handle, they're just like a bristly brush, their spikes don't come off and stick in you - they don't get very big. I'd expect a porcupine would be much scarier.
Speaking of pp snake lmao, I never liked scaleless snakes but I rescued a scaleless texas rat snake a few months ago and she is ALBINO. So she is pink AND scaleless and until I soaked her she was so wrinkly. She looks like a cryptid. Her name is Booger.
I hate painted brick with every fiber of my existence and it’s mainly due to the fact that my childhood beautiful red brick house was painted dark gray. :/
You should check out Wickens Wicked Reptiles for info on the Schneider Skink! They are awesome puppy dog Skinks and arguably the most “affectionate” Skink! I knew when I saw it I recognized it from somewhere and it was his channel! They are like fire skinks, but he has a vid about how they are different! They are amazing!
The 3D printed strawberry hide in the first Pink L. Gecko enclosure--- does any one know if 3D printed materials are safe for them??? I seem to recall it can leach chemicals, am I wrong??
Hey, my friend wants a snake. But, he wants to put a Ball Python in a 10 gallon.. What should I do? He kicks his cats.. (and chokes them) So what snakes can live in a 10 gallon? (That are a bit durable, he's rough)
I am obsessed with that first one! My crestie also has an all-pink enclosure and I call the theme "Barbie Dreamhouse but Barbie Got Eaten in the Jungle". I don't know why more people don't do themed enclosures, get more creative reptile people! When I was looking for inspo pics I could find almost nothing because literally everyone wants their enclosure to look "natural". boring 🙄🙄

I'm so glad you brought up the painted cabinet because that was literally my first thought when I saw it 😅
I like it painted tho it looks sm better 😭
@@rtalexii.s I do like it painted it's just a shame because the wood was so nice 😭

This is rating enclosures but I feel like he enjoys rating everything BUT the enclosure first

Yo, you're right. Painting brick is also dumb because moisture gets trapped between the paint and the brick and it molds. 0/10 for painted brick

Please keep doing these!!! I’m in the middle of enclosure makeovers and I want you to see them when I’m done!

I hear they make some prisons pink to reduce hostility. I wonder if it works on reptiles?

Even in photos, you can see Binxly's single brain cell bouncing slowly around his noggin.
Underrated UA-cam, but he's doing great for doing videos on mainly reptiles, I love his edits and his reactions lol
Both of the leopard geckos that live with me right now use their climbing options, combination of rock ledges, vines, and hammocks.
Alex, you should post an update on your reptile collection
8:40 “i don’t see a beardie”
the beardie literally in the most well lit spot in the whole enclosure: 👁️👄👁️

I’ve always wanted to get a tortoise and give him an enclosure like the one at 14:40
those hanging coconuts with the ladders get used a lot in gerbil enclosures!
Thank you for the new video

6:15 basically Wicken's Wicked Reptiles has been promoting them a lot and they're tough to find. Super cool skinks though!
that poor guy, reptile enclosure design is his _passion_

That’s a good point… the house I grew up in was painted brick. It’s kinda dumb now that I think about it.
Binxley's house actually has a grinder for weed as a water dish. Uhhh. Bahaha
