Great video and great advice on the tapped cover, I broke 2 covers because I was supplied a wrong gasket kit which included 4 injector seals and tried to replace them(FYI they are non serviceable) . Now I know I have to replace my scv and intercooler.
Thanks mate, being sent the wrong parts is always a bummer but at least you know you weren’t at fault. And SCV is very easy to replace if you can move the hoses and cables from above it 👍🏻
Love this well done champ. I like to do mine, nissan navara d40 2010 i had a machinic change our my injectors but it failed on the first injector as diesel is leaking out of her, when having a macanic fails and charge a wounded bull, it's is upset as normal, one takes pride doing it all yourself. I like to try as iv built up my tools for a chance to understand and able to know how to do. If you have any other advice, please let us all know. Well done
Sorry to hear that but it definitely gives you a chance to learn your car and better your skills. I'd look ahead at the specialised tools that you may require and order them ahead, things like pullers can be found fairly cheap on ebay but will cost loads at the local automotive shops.
Thanks mate 🤙, we used Jaltest commercial vehicles for our work trucks which includes some light commercial vehicles. Sometimes we aren't able to find the vehicle so we will find another with the same engine and select that.
Hey mate, thanks for showing your knowledge. My d22 is hesitating so a code came up that it’s a leaking injector. Do you know why my engine light isn’t on due to fault? And do you have to code them in after installing? Thanks
Im not sure why the engine light didn't come on if the scanner could find the fault. The injectors do need to be coded in and cant be done with a normal scan tool. We had to use a commercial software for trucks and light vehicles to program in the injectors.
I did it over 2-3 days but I cleaned the intake and a couple other parts. If you were only replacing injectors I think it could easily be done in a day 👍🏻
Awesome video. My 2006 D40 (yd25) has 242,000 on it and am thinking of doing this service. It’s not blowing any smoke, but thought around 250k might be a good idea? How hard is it to get software for doing codes at the end? That’s the issue I might have as I don’t have the Tuning software.
Thanks mate, we have a license for commercial vehicles which covers our fleet of trucks and some light vehicles like utes and vans. The license is quite expensive and probably isn't worth paying for, just for the one job unless you can find a cheaper program. Alternatively you could do all the labour and parts yourself then have a mobile mechanic come to you or tow/trailer your car to the mechanic 👍
A couple of questions did you put a new copper washer on the fuel return line where it exits the head? And what was the torque setting on the banjo bolts please?
Hello the fuel system will depressurise as you undo the injectors if there is any pressure left in the system and yes the fuel system has to be bled afterwards👍🏻
@@ReubsModifications hey mate, do you have any tips for bleeding the fuel system in a navara? I tried most things from the book, but it just doesn't want to start up.
Hey bud great video i want to tackle this my self on my 2007 pathfinder . I dont understand the coding bit do i just downwload a program onto my laptop?
If you can find a program that will allow you to program it then yes the rest is fairly easy. However, the programs and licensing can be quite expensive.
Hey mate thanks for the videos I'm enjoying the progress with the SAS just wondering if you did anything with or changed the turbo here on the yd25 because I just had the same problem with the intercooler but then too my turbo leaking oil got really bad it almost sucked all the oil out of the motor so I'm replacing that this week and have my new intercooler from forefront industries ready to go on at same time did you take any video while cleaning the intake manifold as I'm sure I need to do that aswell, anyway thanks for the videos keep up the good work
No worries mate, I didn’t do anything to the turbo on this nav as we weren’t sure it was the issue. To do the intake clean I just removed the manifold and put it in a degreaser bath and scrubbed it. If you don’t want to remove it there are some intake cleaners you can use while the car is running you spray some cleaner down it 👍🏻
@@ReubsModifications yeah something to keep an eye on but it definitely seemed more baked on the oil from the intercooler in your video so looked like it would have happened slowly which is super common so I'm sure its probably fine but something to keep an eye on now especially with the sealed intercooler as you wouldn't notice the oil thanks alot for your reply and awesome not too complicated il definitely clean my intake out then aswell may aswell pull it off
Hi mate about to do this on a r51 pathfinder yd25 vsk model, is it all the same as this? I can't seem to find anything in workshop manual only can see petrol injector how to, not diesel.

@@darrenpierce9903 awesome to hear you’re having a crack at it, if you need to you can check out a video I did on replacing glow plug and injector seals on a ZD30. It should show you about half the process of what you’ll need to do 👍🏻

Lol I forgot the injector seals too. Spent 10 mins fucking around with the rocker cover 😂🤦🏻♂️

Thanks for sharing sir,❤❤ from this vedio i know how to replace or unplug injector navara.

Great vid bud. Smart to clean thoroughly first. Would be nothing worse than new injectors ruined by dust contaminated fuel

good information but hey how can we get a software to register these nozzles?
Any software will likely be subscription based and costly, I was able to use the work laptop to code these in.

Do you recall how many KM was on that D22....?
Why was the injectors changed.
I think around the 200,000 mark, there had been a drop in performance and the vehicle was blowing black smoke 👍🏻
