One of the most irritating you-tube videos I have ever watched. It appears that the bulk of the complaints were dealer setup and not a Polaris issue. I owned a 700XP I bought 13 years ago and put 13,000 miles on it before it was stolen from my property. I have replaced it with a 2022 Ranger 1000 EPS and the machine is flawless.

I bought a new 2021 Xp 1000 and have had zero issues with it. Really like the machine. I drive it every day about 10 miles. Had it over a year 3000 miles of hard work. Good machine

Ranger? I have the Sportsman Touring XP 1000. Incredibly powerful machine . . . . for the 1 year that it operated without being in limp mode. Buying Polaris was the most expensive mistake I have ever made. It has never been abused. All maintenance was done on time or early. But at about the 14 month mark it began to run roughly. I thought I had gotten some bad gasoline. I drained the tank and started with fresh fuel. No change. It kept throwing the same code and would only operate in limp mode.
The dealership wanted $400+ dollars to change the spark plugs with no guarantee it would solve the problem. I could see what I was up against there. I bought the spark plugs online and changed them myself ( 45 minutes ). No change. New battery. No change. New throttle cable. No change. New throttle body. No change. Throttle control assembly. No change.
_See a pattern_ ??? I've been driving it for years now in limp mode because the depreciation on it was so steep no one would buy it at a price where I could break even. It was a $16,000 dollar MISTAKE. I had a Sportsman 570 that served me well for years. That's what got me to buy the 1000. My 570 is STILL working without issue and it is 4 years older and been wrecked twice.
The 1000 looks like it came off the floor yesterday. I drive it to the barn and to check the fences. I can only use it in L and it will sputter me around the property enough to get the job done. I will never buy another Polaris again. Their dealerships service departments SUCK. I'm buying a Honda next time.

Of that's how you rate everything is how fast it is or how much hp it's got...then we need a re-count.

Yep, I can't do Polaris or Can-Am anymore. After YEARS of complaints about this, known longevity and reliability issues, and they continue to ask premium prices for UTV's that are actually worse than some of the "budget" or newer brands like CFMoto, etc.

I have over 40 SXS in our fleet. We have purchased nearly every brand and they ALL have issues at one time or another. What it really comes down to is how well we take care of the machines. I had a guy tell me that our machine was worn out and not worth fixing because of its age. I said what the hell are you talking about.....it is a 2019!!! He said WHAT? REALLY? I thought it was an '09. Yep, our employee absolutely thrashed it. I had to put an engine in a Can-am that only had 600 miles on it. I also have Polaris machines that have over 8,000 hours on them and they are in great condition. It is 100% about the employee and how well they take care of the machine.

Yes, I agree. It really is all about maintenance and how hard the machine is rode. You will get them select few that are junk with all the brands though.

Seems like some have zero problems at all and others are complete junk. Idk sounds like a quality control issue at Polaris

I think you got stuck with a couple lemons, we use nothing but rangers on a ranch in Alberta Canada and don’t have any of those issues, they’re the only way to go

@@CalebEckenrode yes sir, was looking at the can am defender limited but such a long wait. I found this 2022 general on the lot on a deal that fell through. I'm liking the general so far . The power and suspension is night n day difference over the Ranger.
