They really missed the mark on that 1500 pound capacity bed by not making it the correct dimensions to fork load a pallet into or out of the bed. That would have been really handy!
Know what else has an 1500lb payload, automotive style engine and transmission roll up windows and hvac? A tacoma. And you can set the cruise at 75mph down the freeway.
@@christopherbouman160 you’re right they cost 58k USD, why you bringing brokie money into this lmao, a 4wd 5.0 xlt f150 is gonna run you right around 50k USD
Its a nice rig for sure with all the new improvements ..... Yes there are going to be sales of this new rig but thats a pretty stout price ! By the time someone builds one of these up its going to be a $ 100K as some of these manufactures are going to have to redesign suspension components as most likely they wont be able to use the parts from a 2021 -2023 NorthStar models. Did they lose the storage under the seats ? All in all it looks like a nice rig for sure and getting away from the rubber cvt will def, be great .
Prices are getting out of hand. After tax, freight, setup, fuel surcharge, doc fees, warranty your at $60k for the top of the line northstar. I'd be embarrassed to tell anyone I paid that much.
Does this new 1500 XD ranger leave from the window/door seals like my 2022 Northstar Ultimate does? Also has the roof design been addressed so that there isnt a front facing overlap which also allows moisture to enter the cab when driving in rain? I'd love to know! All of us ranger owner know their downfalls as much as they are amazing machines..why no body in these videos mentions this things is hilarious...
$73,000 Canadian before taxes. $82,000 taxes in this is before all the extra dealer charges. Wow. That’s lots. I ordered a northstar xpedition adv5 that was over $75 taxes in.
Not sure how that’s going to outsell the last edition, Polaris is pricing themselves out of the market. What was a $30k ultimate less than 2 years ago is now $50k!
It’s not supposed to outsell the 1000 series rangers. They will make both and sell way more budget friendly rangers vs this. They will still be on a waiting list to buy this.
I've worn out 2 rangers. A 2016 900xp and a 2020 1000 xp and never changed a belt. I'm talking 15,000 miles and 12,000 respectively and never changed a belt.
These things will sell like hotcakes. Expensive but where I live there are farmers that can afford these rigs easily. One of these can probably replace 2-3 rangers or atvs they use on the farm. For those complaining about price.. they aren’t made for everyone. If you are complaining, you don’t “need” one.
But wait….all the news a d youtube channels talk about hownthere is no money in farming and they need the subsidies…handouts…so how does a farmer “afford” a $50k toy…
I wonder how it compares to a Mule Pro FXR/T 1000. The 1000 are super quiet and smooth ride. You do get another 30/40lbs of torque and 30/40 horse and maybe another 10mph with the Polaris, but probably double the price and not Kawi quality.
like bigger cc's like the belt idea- only problem- the more it gets a car the more the prices get car prices- remember some years ago you could get a nice ranger for around 12 grand...
As expensive as they are, there will be a waiting list for them. So many people won't be able to afford them BUT in todays world there are a LOT of folks with a ton of money, just the way it is.
The big growth in the side by side market was cost and value. For less than the cost of a jeep you could save wear and tear on your pickup and have a comfortable and capable off road vehicle. But now that is no longer the case. Most of these sxs have a life span of a few thousand miles where as a pickup or suv can go 200k miles or more. I'm seeing less sxs in the forest and more beaters. $25k to $65K for a sxs. Sorry not interested anymore.
I can't imagine any of the farmers/ranchers that I know wanting a $50K - $60K SxS to complete everyday tasks. Quite sure this won't replace their Ford, GM or Ram flatbed work trucks. However, I do think people with alot of money will buy these.
Prices are getting out of hand. After tax, freight, setup, fuel surcharge, doc fees, warranty your at $60k for the top of the line northstar. I'd be embarrassed to tell anyone I paid that much.
Imagine they intend to sell to people that don't look at pricetags .. then proceed to just beat crap out of off road. Repairs also costly.. silly isn't it !
I just dont get this vehicle, we just purchased our son a 2024 gladiator rubicon w heated seats for 49k plus tax. These things cost more once you add things like windshield wipers but without heated seats and you still have to trailer them as they are not street legal.
It's basically a Rotax 1500 off a 3 seater Sea-Doo PWC. I know, I know, different companies but same engine architecture, crank layout and probably firing order, hence the same sound.
Price is out of control. I dont see people buying this unless looking for business right offs. Its cool but for that price why not buy a bronco? That is twice the vehicle
Farmers just want something that works and that last a long time, they don’t care about all the fancy crap they put on these things , and I believe they won’t feel like spending 50,000+ for a SxS that there 1000$ beater pick up can do lol
@@3BLADZ well it depends where you are cause the farms around me would rather a beater then some 50,000$ that will get damaged and probably break down more with all the electronics and “features” they pack in these things
Ultimately it comes down to the write off for many bigger operations. In irrigation country when the first sxs surpassed 40 mph we loved it because we could road it between fields versus trailer. Now they run much faster. My dad is a hired man and buys his own ranger so he's price conscious, his boss however I could see just blowing the money. On our place with livestock I'd love to have one like a north star but there's NO WAY I could get myself to buy a machine with more than a windshield. Heck my wife's suburban was 19K in mint conditions with 93K miles and we have a 2012 k2500 6.0 with 150K we got for 22K.
yeah I'm out at that price. I run a cattle ranch and have run rangers for 13 years now I guess. I don't want to be out a side by side. But honestly anything over the 1000xd thats out there is not feasible if you are going to be more expensive than a truckI'm gonna run a truck. And I don't care how big you make it you aren't going to get the ranger to feed 200 head of cattle or haul 16,000 pounds of feeder steers. you don't use toys for that you use actual tools. like a 7810 or a one ton dually or a semi pulling a pot. this is the same play that ford tried with there f150's. city folks think they're cool so everyone wants one. But they want all the bells and whistles. the working man don't care about the frills. they got work to do.
Why... why not just buy a small pickup because it's probably going to cost about the same as a base model full size truck. They are now getting away from what from what these things where originally made or intended for.
How does the comfort of the seats and ride compare with the xpedition bucket seats and shocks/ride? Is the cabin noise less than on the xpedition?
Your video was way better than the one from polaris with the diesel donkies
100% agree 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Agreed
That polaris video was terrible
wonder how long the wheel bearings will last??? think they will make it more than 2000 miles?
It’s seams to be a great rig. The price doesn’t scare me, the fact that it’s a Polaris does.

Yeah, it's quiet with a helmet on? It's still a CVT and it's still a Polaris. For $40-50k it could have an Allison transmission.
They should put the price tags on all of this!!! Starts at $30k, and if you want 2 doors add $4k... the expense is as high as Hunter!
Know what else has an 1500lb payload, automotive style engine and transmission roll up windows and hvac? A tacoma. And you can set the cruise at 75mph down the freeway.

The 2024 ranger needs automotive doors like the 2024 xpedition and the xpedition needs the engine and transmission out of the ranger
This is very exciting!
I wish the xpedition was built on this chassis and had this transmission.
