    Really good comparison of these two machines. Important for buyers to know the differences of their features so they can get the model that's most suitable for their needs and riding style. Well done. 👍👊💥

    Thanks for sharing. I truly think you are going to see more and more Generals out on the trails. I just purchased my "22 General XP4 1000 Trailhead Edition and this is a great machine. I don't intend on using the dump bed, but I like that I have a great amount of storage available to me for coolers, spare and additional gear. I only wish that the HP was a little more, let's say 120hp then this would in my opinion be the best machine upgrade. Other than that, I have no complaints. As of now, HP will stay the same as Polaris has released the "23 Generals with no change in HP.

      I agree the General is my favorite all around machine. If it has a little more HP it would be a game changer, for now the 100 HP does fine in most scenarios. Enjoy your General XP!

    8:05 "...if you're looking for mostly trail riding with just a little bit of work, the General is definitely what we're going to be pointing you too." that line probably made my decision clear. I just wonder with and without the cab which one is cooler/hotter, which one is noisier, which one is dustier? Great review and video!! Well done sir!

      I'm glad the video helped get you in the right direction. You cannot beat the Ranger Northstar for a luxury cabin
      heat/ AC, full doors to keep you clean, and an insulated cab makes for a quiet ride inside. But the General will be a more comfortable suspension package for the trail riders. If you have the opportunity to stop in our dealership you can sit in each model to make your decision.

    I own both a general and a ranger and the general is 10 x the machine. The suspension, doors and additional 20HP makes the general way better. Not to mention better riding, better clutch, more comfortable and all for a few thousand more.

      I have to agree with you. That said, the Ranger is the right pick if you only need/want a work-specific vehicle. The other thing I noticed as a taller guy is that the Ranger "fits" me better.

    This is a great video! With the Ranger Northstar, are the doors removable?

    Good video currently own a 21 ranger premium North Star we like it, can a person get the general fully enclosed with heat and AC to so a person can use it year round like we do the ranger?

    • @AplusPowerSports
      @AplusPowerSports Рік тому +1

      Polaris makes a full cab enclosure with heat for the Generals. They do not offer AC in the General body style yet hopefully it is in the works.

    hey an very off topic question: can a person that's "5-5" ride the kayo td 125 pit bike with out being too tall? This is a very inmportant question since one might be purchased in the near future. thanks and yall have a blessed day :)

    • @AplusPowerSports
      @AplusPowerSports Рік тому

      Yes that wouldn't be a problem. I have a TD125 myself that I use as a little pit bike. I'm 5'10 and have no issues with my knees hitting the bars.

    Im looking for a 4 door machine for hunting use only. I do not "trail ride" for fun. Only moving from stand to stand. I do hunt in mountain areas with rutted roads ect. What do you recommend? Will the ranger suspension with stand the trails?

    • @AplusPowerSports
      @AplusPowerSports 11 місяців тому

      I would steer you in the direction of the Ranger XP it would be more than capable on the hunting trails out to your stands.

    I ride a lot of street at 50 mph to get to the trails maybe 4 times a week. I'd need it for hunting and bring my dogs out for exercise. How would the Ranger do? Is it built to handle that? I really like the AC/heat and protection inclosure. Would be very nice in AZ. Thanks!

    • @AplusPowerSports
      @AplusPowerSports Рік тому +1

      Yeah the new Ranger XP would be able to handle those speeds. The crew Rangers have a governor on them of about 55 mph but the single cabs have no issue maintaining that speed.

    I have a question, is Polaris going to discontinue the General 1000 2-seater?
    since in Mexico it seems that it is not available.

    • @AplusPowerSports

      I don't foresee them discontinuing the General that is one of our best selling machines.

    Maybe its me. But if General came as an option with Heat & Ac & full cab. Ranger sales would slow down. Rangers seem to fit the farmers more

    I have been a Ranger owner for 12 years and I run the heck out of my machines. I think that these deluxe machines are taking the fun out of the sport. It seems like those that need all of the features and power are guys that are compensating for personal deficiencies.

      Oh maybe that's why I got one because of my one inch pecker, lol. I mean you can say what you want bud, but I use mine all year round and everyone we ride with gets jealous as hell, they will only ride there's in the summertime. I don't have ac and I don't need it. I was never in the market for one, in fact I thought they were stupid when I first seen them, during the plandemic you couldn't find anything, if you wanted new you would have to wait for about a year, came across this ranger XP 1000, widened it 4" and raised it 2" put custom elka shocks on it, this baby keeps up with all the razors, generals, you name it. There's know way in hell I would pay $36,000 for any new machine. Don't knock it until you try it. I work the shit out of this machine, hunting, working, ice fishing, and tearing up the trails.

      Stupid comment... You can still get a barebone ranger with no cab if that's what you enjoy but for those who use it for work, in the winter etc. having a closed cab etc. is very useful it is basically a mini pick up truck (priced accordingly)
