Just found your channel, you are so relaxing to watch and listen to 🤩. This tutorial has re-ignited my interest in polymer clay, didn’t realise how gorgeous the translucent could be. Thank you so much, have subscribed and will be watching often 👍👏🤩💕💕
Miss your beautiful tutorials!! Hope you are well! Thoughts and prayers sent to you!
Try chilling the clay in the mold for 10 min in fridge then trimming it up. When clay is too warm/soft makes it more difficult to trim.
Oldie but a goodie! Love this!
I have just started watching you and I really LOVE your tutorials.
The mica powder trick is genius. I can see that working for faux turquoise too. I love your working with translucent. Holds a bit of mystique.
Yes Joyce I think it would work with most of those chopping type techniques. Made a massive difference and I find it so much easier to use alcohol inks than paint too x
Thank you for a fabulous tutorial. Learned a lot. Have a great day.
Beautiful rocks! If you cut them out ON the paper going into the oven, your shapes won't get distorted by taking them off the glass surface with a blade.
Good idea. Why didn’t I think of that?
I’ve made so many of these in different colors and they always come out beautiful. Thank you so much. I love your style and it sells well.
Love your tutorials. I love the metallic and neutral tones. Thank you. 💖
I like your popsicle stick idea. Now I know a use for the ones I have.
I tried your technique with the gold and traslucent...but i sanded it after baking and that made a huge differene in the depth! Beautiful!! Love the videos!
Kathryn those cabochon stones look incredible . Brilliant idea!!! There so much potential to try other colours etc...btw that test you did on the conditioned /not conditioned clay is a real eye opener... I've did faux turquoise etc before and used the clay straight from the block using different colour tones...if I'd thought of using translucent clay I'd probably do the same straight from block....but not now I'll certainly condition my translucent clay first so I get a nice clear translucent with no air pockets etc..thanks for sharing that tip....keep those videos and tips coming lol.
Beautiful looks like stones
Beautiful 🤟🏻❤️💋thank you for sharing
These are so easy and cannot fail! Loved doing them! Thanks.
Beautiful
Thank you so much. I will be trying both of these.
THOSE ARE GORGEOUS 😍
Great video!
I love your tutos! Thank you 🤗
Absolutely & awesomely beautiful 🤩
Stunning 😍
Those are freakin’ awesome!!!
Placing cling film over the top of the clay before using your cutter, would give you a domed top.
Wouldn't your clean up be easier if your wore protective gloves, like latex or nitrile? Especially with darker inks. Like the idea and technique, thanks.
I have used film previously.... sometimes I just plain ole forget 😂 .... same with gloves and finger cotes etc.... always remember 5 mins after I needed them 🤣😂🤣
Beautiful 😍
I like your tutorials! Funny with the husband always doing something in the background :-)
Trabalho maravilhoso ❤❤❤
In one month you’ve gotten 10 k subscribers. There is a reason for that!
Oops! Glad you’re moving up though. You’re very clever and nice to listen to.
@@joyceengland8781agree! I could listen and learn all day!
Kath these are mega 😍😍😍
I use a little cornstarch to help with sticky clay
I've tried everything ha ha .... I've finally settled on cling wrap and a little talc on my fingers 🤣
So nice!
What's the "VictorIan sleeve" someone mentioned in comments?(of another video)
I'm intrigued..
Oh I blummin love them, thank you x
Very nice video and very informative. However, your close caption had me falling all animal fun 30 minutes. on the floor laughing I’m hearing impaired and do use it and when you started offering wine to your clay, that’s when I lost it all together and started to laugh out loud.
I love this Kathryn, you always do great videos. I need to ask though, what size is the square you are using. I see it in a lot of your videos, however you never mention the size?
the blue mould is approx. 1.5 inch square, I have a fave square cutter that I use and that's 1 & 3/4 inch square, for reference the main squares on my desktop mat are 1 inch ha ha
Just curious....what is the purpose of burnishing the clay?
it give a much smoother finish .... saves on sanding and finishing
Hey there Im wondering where did U get that blue mold from!
Hi, link in the video description x
Thx Kat!
Wow! Can't wait to try this! btw- I just subscribed. :o)
Hi Kathryn , im from Manchester, you use alcohol cleaner could you tell me a bit more what it is and where abouts I can get some cos I have tried today day and I don't know what I'm looking for thank you very much Kathryn and your tattoos are top xXx
Ha ha thanks. I get my alcohol off eBay here’s the link. I just buy a huge bottle it lasts for ages x www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232777955985
Oops forgot the other bit. I use it as a general cleaner as it’s good with sticky stuff. Great for making sure clay is clean and dust/fingerprints/cat fluff free.
How did you clean your hands so well? Every time I used alcohol ink it sticks on my hands, hard to clean off.
