❌️ I've listen to, and read about this several times, but they never mentioned the color of the old, homeless man. Seriously no one knows the race of the person. I don't think he thought it was important to mention ❌️
Yes that is rock. I was in high school when their debut album hit the record stores. It was 86'-87' and Top 40 hits hadn't included true rock in a decade when GnR came along and revived the genre.
Original band members Axl Rose on vocals, one of the best ever! Slash on lead guitar, one of the best ever! Duff McKagan on bass, Izzy Stradlin on rhythm guitar and Steven Adler on drums. They changed a few members over the years but the core is Axl, Slash and Duff. I suggest " Mr. Brownstone " or "its so easy " or " Nightrain " off of their first album and you should probably do " sweet child o mine " then move on to their other albums. They were only together a short time but put out 5 albums as a whole, Axl put out one on 2008 with a whole new bunch of guys, still called guns n roses but it wasn't the same. The main 3 got back together a few years back and have been touring around the world. Hoping for new music someday!
GNR anything from their welcome to the jungle album is pretty lit. Mr. Brownstone and Rocket Queen are my 2 that get overlooked a lot. My bad appetite for destruction album. Brain fart, but I’m getting old and tired
I still remember when I first got the album, shortly after this video first aired on MTV's Headbanger's Ball. The first listen through was amazing, every song was really good and could have been "the big single" that is used to sell most albums.
ROCKET QUEEN is a killer tune from these guys. Their debut album " Appetite For Destruction" was a game changer in the late 80's. One of the best albums of all time.
Guns and Roses is so legendary it's easy to forget to mention them. It was basically Metallica, GnR, and Nirvana. Those were the legendary bands of the late 80's and early 90's. People would just assume you have heard it before.

Theres a great doc on youtube... Slash raised on Sunset Strip, really great background on the whole LA rock scene in the 80s, and Slash was a child on it. His dad is a artist who did many lp covers, his mom was an amazing fashion stylist to the greats from Bowie to Janet Jackson. Slash and his brother (Ash, big in the art/ design side of rap) were these bohemian kids running loose, with their big afros just soaking up the scene.

Guns N Roses is my favorite rock n roll band!! They have ALOT of great songs, my favorites are: Civil War, Don’t Cry, Paradise City, November Rain, So Easy, Patience. The “Use your Ilusion” album is my favorite. The band now isn’t all of the original band members, but Slash is the guitarist(the best in the world), and Axl Rose is the lead singer. You can look on Wikipedia and see the start story and the history of this band. They are awesome!!

When Axle Rose (Lead Singer) got off the bus for the first time in Las Angeles, a little old black man told a young Axle "Welcome to the Jungle, baby", I have seen them live in Concert with Metallica in 89' where he told us that story.

The jungle will take your soul...that's exactly what was being stated. In the beginning of the video, you see the fresh faced guy from wherever, then you see how he evolves in the land of opportunity,
This song is specifically about his first experience trying to make it in L.A. The whole Hollywood scene.
