This video was really entertaining. The improvisatory vibe was quite enjoyable to watch. Its a nice change to overly scripted and over produced recipe videos that you get on youtube. This is more exciting, spontaneous, experimental and creative

I love that after tasting you’re open to doing it different. Every other cooking video: “it’s perfect the first time.” You’re so relatable in that you’re always ready to wing it and say it could be better another way, then try something new. You make cooking look accessible and yummy achievable.
For the roll-ups....when you finish making them wrap them in whatever "plastic wrap" or alternative you use. Wrap them tightly and chill in the fridge so the cream cheese/marinara/tortilla trio can get acquainted and bind. Slice on the diagonal while still cold and heyla! pretty appetizer/snack. FYI: I learned this trick by doing...it works!

Completely off topic, but it's weird how I used to despise dijon mustard and now that I'm vegan I literally use it for everything. When I run out it feels like the end of the world lol

These look delicious. Growing up I used to eat crab cakes all the time (I grew up at the beach in a very meat and potato family). You can also try using some crackers instead of the panko for an extra buttery taste. Also don’t over complicate the tarter sauce: mayo and relish (and use a fork instead of spoon to avoid the extra wateriness) 😃 I cannot wait to try these and I love that you winged this. It’s the best way to cook!
I never liked hearts of Palm as a kid. I haven't had them since but I'm thinking I might give them a try to make this. I use old Bay seasoning in tofu scramble & chickpea salad. It's so good.

I use artichoke hearts to make vegan "crab cakes" following hot for foods recipe. I have no idea what real crab cakes are supposed to taste like but I really like these, i just call them artichoke croquettes

Air fryer Corn dog ball
1/2 cup flour, 1/2 củ cornmeal, 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp baking powder, mix. Add non dairy milk 1/3 cup, 3 tbsp apple sauce. Cut vegan cheese sticks and vegan dogs into pieces. Get a piece of the dough put the vegan dog and a piece of cheese inside and make it into a ball. Roll in breadcrumb and spay with oil. Put in air fryer 330 degrees for 12 mins. Dip in mustard sauce or ketchup sauce

Entertaining video! I make wraps like that but use pesto instead of tomatoe sauce and add some salad to it. Yum!!!
The corn dog balls look delicious, I do miss corn dogs. Also, I wonder if you could use the batter and just the cheese to make cheese bites? Great video Rose! I hated fish/seafood but I may try the crab less cakes for my hubby.

honestly when I first started eating hearts of palm, I thought the middle part (the really "Crab" meat-like part) not just felt like crab meat but tasted a bit like it. maybe i'm crazy lOL

I really want to try those crabless cakes. I never liked tartar sauce, I would probably make red cocktail sauce for them. Mmm corn dogs are the best. I don't like mushrooms most of the time but if I can find those mushrooms I will try those scallops.

14:02 I haven't ever had heart of palm and crab-less cakes seem to be one of the most popular concepts to use them. The end result of your version seems bombs and I think I have to finally get my hands on some and try making my own, even though I have not had the original either ;P
Its fabulous! I swear I'll make a huge batch of them and then anytime I want a snack or just a quick meal, heat them up and have some veg to the side and its incredible!!!!
they are so yummy, kind of like the texture of jarred artichoke hearts, really nice in salads as well
Or, you can use lemon zest to give a lemony flavor to the tartar sauce, without overwhelming with acid.

If I can give an advice, next time use two teaspoons to scoop the cream onto scallions (fill spoon with creme, transform it onto a scallion with the other one - you can also shape the cream this way so it looks prettier :) )

If you want the corn dog batter to be less runny, you could also just add more flour… rather than less milk.

Hello your new subscriber here and have been vegetarian all my life (born in vegetarian indian family) i would love if you can checkout indian food, indian food is heaven for vegetarians/vegans (there are thousands of dishes since india has lot of cultures in it, not everything is popular in foreign countries) ...would love if you cook by your self rather than having restaurant food and do checkout some authentic recipes from good chefs.
Hi! thanks so much for commenting! I love indian food so much but I'm afraid to cook it myself. I feel like there needs to be so many spices and different seasonings and it needs to be coked with a lot of love and effort haha i'm not sure if this is true but that's how i envision it. I think this is why I haven't ventured much into Indian cooking - it's intimidating for me~ ! LOL but I definitely need to give it a try!
@@CheapLazyVegan ohh haha no we don't add lot of spices in our everyday meals except some dishes, there are few spices which are common in most dishes, the food which we have in restaurant has generally those extra spices to make it more flavorful. But if you want, I'll search some simple and easy recipes for you..
