The more I listen to the new soundtrack the more I like it. At first I was like I’m not really sure, but then I put headphones on and you can really hear the depth and complexity of the music compared to the original. It has so much more depth.
@prestothemagnificent The music is really one of the only good things about that game imo lol. A few of the songs I don't love in tok but most are great. Same with ttyd emake some of the songs I prefer OG ttyd for.
@captainjames4649 Yeah, I grew up with the originals. So to me, paper mario is about story characters and rpg gameplay. Overall, just taking the mario series in a weirder and deeper and more mature scenario. Rather than being about actual papercraft with action adventure gameplay.
1:23 Wowzers, not only they did an INCREDIBLE job at remaking this track, but they even added the theme from the intro, and that's not the only track in this remake that has new parts like this.. Im telling ya, if Nintendo keeps doing remakes like theses, their games would be selling even more than ever.

Given how well this game sold at release, I would be SHOCKED if they didn't make a new Paper Mario with similar mechanics to the older two. If this game surpasses TOK in sales, it's guaranteed

Thought this game and its fanbase was the biggest glaze fest of all time...after watching a few playthroughs and listening to this ost I gotta say was wrong and now i gotta buy this game! 📝
When I first heard this I knew they cooked for the rest of the soundtrack because if you have a title screen that sounds this good you know the rest of the game is going to sound amazing!
The new soundtrack hits me somewhere deep in my childhood. Somehow with all the bad stuff going on right now, nintendo managed to release something I've needed for a long time.
The goose bumps were so real when I heard this!! Jesus christ... Also weirdly enough, the japanese version of the og game actually has a slightly different version of the title screen theme in the beginning, and its sounds very off, but even weirder than that... They actually kept that regional difference in the remake?? And it still sounds so weird, but cool how they even kept THAT of all things lol. Other than that, love how despite this song sounding grander than the OG with the orchestration, they didn't shy away from the electronic instruments, if anything, they almost feel more prominent! Love the new synth at 0:53 AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED AT HOW THEY IMPLEMENTED THE MAIN THEME AT 1:23 AAAAAHHHHHH The remake definitely likes implementing more the main theme into more songs, and I ain't complaining!
It’s in the exact same pitch and key as the original GameCube version. I don’t know what drugs you’re on the only difference is the new version has some extra instruments added in. That’s it. And it’s a bit longer. That’s the only difference. Other than that, same pitch, so yeah you’re complaining for nothing

@@BlindMelonLord Im not the only one, there’s people online talking about the same thing and they literally put a badge in the game to swap the music to the old version because they knew some people wouldn’t like it. Maybe the extra instruments make it sound too cluttered and removes the impact of certain sounds. (Plus just blind to the likes and other comment i got on this alone)

Got this the other day and began tearing up at the title screen. They did such an amazing job with the music.

It's very much more in the oragami king style, which I'm fine with, because that game has a great ost
