I absolutely enjoyed walking around with you. I am 75 years old. When I was growing up, I was the only girl in our neighborhood. And all the boys was into drag racing. They had 55, 56,57 Chevrolets . Then later on they got into 62s 63’s 64s. i’ll never forget the day one of my best friends bought a 64 impala SS super sports, four-speed factory hot rod. He was the envy of the whole community. It was beautiful black with red interior. One of my favorite things to do was walk around salvage yards. I would still do it today, but I have had three major back surgeries in three years. And no, just about everyone of the cars you picked out the very first one that you thought was a Camaro. I knew was a Firebird right off but it turned out to have a Camaro front end on it. Thank you for sharing and I am thankful that I accidentally found this video. I would like to get me a golf cart, just detect salvage yards to ride around and look at my young family lol. Want to treat me like I am a toddler. But I am very blessed to have people care for me because there’s so many that don’t I still get to live at home and do pretty much what I want to, we all live on the same street. My house is first my brother is the second and my brother and niece is next. My niece is 48. She’s a nurse and she really watches after me but they all day. I’m sure you didn’t want to hear all this but just walking around with you today. I felt like you as a friend. I’ll be praying about them feet and you keep up the good work I wish you Godspeed.👍🙌👏🙏🙏

Well I have another junk yard video from three or so months ago. I visited 3 old car junk yards in Missouri. I’m going to start videoing more since this video was so popular. Subscribe now keep watching for more. Where are you from?
@@DEADCARRESCUE I've got a list of junk yards if you need more or just want to look at more of them. There's only a couple of them that I won't share because they don't want the media exposure. I'll go back and see about the one you've already done. There's a number of them stretching from West Virginia / Ohio down through Tennessee to Georgia and alabama. I want to know if some others are nearby States but those would be the best ones I would think out east. There are a number of them out west. Texas through Oklahoma up into Southern Kansas has always been my favorite area. Outside of St Paul. Now farther up in Minnesota you find some up near the Canadian border. It's just so cold 🥶❄️🥶❄️🥶. A couple of them in Wisconsin I really like for crushed out in the last couple of years. I know of two or three farther south in Missouri. But they have more rust. Now you may have already been to them but Springfield Missouri just search 57 Chevy in the carport section of craigslist. He'll come up. He has much more than 57 chevys. And there's another guy north of there. I think the town starts with an L I don't remember but you can find him on Craigslist he has like $5,000 old cars. When I say old they may only be 20 years old but about 3rd of them are vintage 1980 and much earlier. All I can remember is when I traveled through their president Harry Truman the guy dropped the atomic bomb twice on Japan. I want to say it's Lamar missouri. But look him up much the same way and you'll find him as well.. just use some old car and your Craigslist search. The no name Nationals down in Southeastern Missouri I believe it's sikeston Missouri or something like that area. Yeah if you get down if you like Volkswagen bugs for example in Northern Arkansas the best one in the world just closed last year but there's still a couple other good ones. I'll stop rambling on. I've been collecting names of salvage yards for many years. Been to a lot of them. Known people they have been to some of the other ones. NorCal stop rambling on bad Love salvage yards. I've gotten to the point where I'd rather watch somebody else go through them..
I just found your channel and enjoy the walk around. I worked in a salvage yard in 1956 before going in the navy.people today don't remember when there was no after market parts just salvage yards. Keep up the work
I seen you In Dyersburg Tennessee the other day and decided to look up your channel. I’m always glad to see an old hot rod hunter like me . I’m subscribed now to your channel. Thank you for what you do and happy hunting.
I was there to look at a 71 Chevy truck. Too rough for me but it sold later that day. Thank you for subscribing to my channel, I do appreciate it. Old iron is getting harder to find these days. I can find them but everyone wants top dollar most times. Hey keep in touch and comment again.
Hey, that 66 Thunderbird has very rare optional headrests. They were first offered as options in 66 -68. In 1969 the were standard because they were mandated.
Tall Paul likes video thank you kindly sir. Yeah my feets hurt also so. Yep I liked the Pinto wagon and da 57 Chevy post. Always wanted me a 57 yr i was born
I like your show I like the junkyard you went to not allowed to have the javelin sitting on it that truck you was looking at was a Dodge special edition it was to come back from Dodge against the El Camino and Ranchero they didn't make a lot better so lot that makes it rare
🇺🇸👍 That dodge truck at the end was a limited edition 57-58 it was real and yes that fender you pointed out was pretty much as you said but with all the trim on it matches to the cab.👍🍻🥩🌽💤
Steve, love the video. Would like to see more of the odd-ball cars. Lincolns, Hearses, Fiat 124 (the small conv.), basically anything out of the ordinary. The most boring cars in the world to me at this point in life are: tri-five Chevrolets, first gen Mustangs, Ferraris and Lamborghinis and such. Got burned out on that crap back in the '90's. I have a pasture full of cars and trucks stored down in central Arkansas you may want to tour sometime. I am close to your age (64), and I may not live long enough to fix up 250+ vehicles...
My first car (thanks dad) was a red 1962 Impala SS, 2dr, 283, 2sd, bucket seats, black interior. It's One of several cars I wish I'd kept. ;-) The exuberance of youth starts catching up with you around your mid forties and really become bothersome in your sixties, though that's my opinion, my health has been poor from birth. Yes, their was a pickup bed similar to that, but I can't remember what their called, but it was either a model or an option? Alas, no Corvairs. ;-D
@PuddinsFabShop check out this BMW at 31 minutes, it's the brother/ sister to the Towrolla . You can't pass this one up as a back up to the Ole Towrolla
Around 1959 or so Dodge and a bed like that. But I thought it was a unibody truck. I could be wrong about the unibody part of it. I wanted to second yard around 54 minutes into your video. Now I'm a firebird man and that firebird 67 or 68 they ruined it by trying to make a Camaro clone out of it. Although they bring a lot of money.
Who knows who did that. Mixing parts like that I don’t like either. Had a Pontiac Ventura with a nova front cap once, I spent a lot of time defending myself for owning it. People thought I did it and I bought it that way.
@@DEADCARRESCUE oh my only thing is I'm a firebird lover. Back in the day and back on a Camaro by firebird cost more money. The firebird was more respected and then the camaro. But it's like anything else times change and everybody wants the Camaro. I've got an old 74 Nova hatchback sitting in the barn. I would never have dreamed of that car would be worth anything, but here it is and they are worth money now. I have no problem with almost any other car being mix and match it's just that it goes back to the old firebird Camaro rivalry. I might call out to the guy and see how much he wants for it.. I didn't look but if it didn't have side marker lights on the rear quarter then it's a 67 firebird otherwise it's a 68. I'm almost certain that front clips is 67 Camaro. I appreciate you showing these vehicles. I really like that old Dodge truck because the way they fitted it together it does look like somebody threw together in the garage. But he found the right person that was tail lights assemblies are worth a bloody Fortune.
Great video would love to see some Mopars of any kind 67 to 75 A B E or C bodies That Car you thought was a Datsun is actually a Fiat 124 Spider early 69 to 74
Yeah I found out it was a fiat later. As far as mopars go I just didn’t see very many. One of my mopar friends said I walked by a valiant in the other video I filmed later. When I do another one of these I will search for them. Thanks for watching.
Another comment that Thunderbird I'd be interested in front bumper and all that. I got a special car I know they're not worth anything monetarily but SIM cards worth a haircut a lot more for other reasons
Call Joey and let him fix you up. Tell him you saw it on my video too. Thank you sir. I’ve had thunderbirds like the one I videoed. 64 ish ones. They were cool way back when you could buy them for $500 and drive them home lol.
@@DEADCARRESCUE I've got my son's 66 t-bird. Anyway it's much like what it was and condition 10 years ago when we picked it up from the state of the original owners. The original owner had little fender bender with it. I still got the black that was on the dash of the car that Ford motor company put on their made with care or something like that for Mr Jones. Know his last name Jones but I don't want to include that. I still occasionally call his son and speak with him. I think 65 would fit but it's just a little bit different. That's the trouble with T-Birds each year they're different. Also I haven't looked at hard I've only really start looking here lately a little bit last couple of years. I shared a couple of names I believe of salvage yards on my reply to your other reply. An indicating a whole list of them. And I'll share them with anybody who's actually interested. Because he's old yards are dying. In Minnesota you got to get into Northern 3rd and you'll find some fantastic examples and is to pretty famous salvage yards.
43:32 I looked up some picture for that '67 Buick, to get an idea of how it would look like restored, but couldn't find any. The only Buick that came close was a Buick Wildcat. I really like the style of that one. Feel free to reply with exact year, brand and model of the car at the timestamp. And good luck with the channel!
I’m just guessing on some of that stuff. I leave the correct year and details to you guys. Steve magnate could research the VIN and tell you all about it.
Great video. I live right down the road from Joeys place. I didn't see any in video, but did you spot any VW bugs there? That's a clean 66 in Ash Flat. Looks to be in good shape.
Steve. There was twenty cars in there you could have fixed up. 😂😂😂😂 You missing out Man. Get back down there before they all gone. ,😂😂😂, Sorry Steve. You knew it was comming. 😂. Thanks for the video. Great video. Theres plenty more still out there for the people. You sound like that actor. But i dont know his name. You could double his voice. I have a Buddy from Arkansas. Kooter. I call him Scootor. 😂 Adios Man. Have a good one. 👍💪
46: 58 Host & Chad how long is a short bed for this blue chevy truck. I have a chevy bed that was ade into a trailer. The axle is six lug & I'd rather have ford bed. Or, I might just fix the exiting chevy bed when I get around to it.
Thanks for all the tips on my numb feet. I drink way too many sodas and I bet if I could stop drinking them my les and feet AND back would be so much better. As far as those beds I’m not sure. Thanks for your comments and for watching.
@@DEADCARRESCUE I got angry when discovered that Aspertame a flavor inhancer. It tricks the human mind into believing its really vanilla flavor when its not. That it's chocolate when it's not. Also, it tricks our minds into wanting MORE! I BLITZED THROUGH two 12 packs of Big Red Soda pop in less than two weeks. Then my back & hip muscles spasmed for 6 days. The effects of too many sweets in our diet results in us not being able to taste fruit & dinner foods correctly. Apples taste bitter or flat. While your at Rone's ( it's Rone's not Ron's) swing by Pocahontas about 15 miles from there and go by Haygood's , it's full of old mopars and quite a few other things
When did I say Ron’s ? I think I said Rones six or seven times in my video. And that place in ponchos, I can never find anyone there. Don’t want to get shot for sure. I will try again soon though.

39: 09 Host, you make mention of Market Place where these thunderbirds sell for two thousand dollars each. Would you please share the web address for this?
I said you can find them for $2000 and you can. I search MP everyday several times a day. I go a 300 mile area from my house. That’s where I find them. Not saying they all are $2000. Look on MP and you will find them.
@@DEADCARRESCUE I don't know what MP is sir. All I've ever known of was craigslist & its gotten sparse in less than six years. I knew my local yards were getting good deals some place but they all part every car out they buy. Some cars have parts I need. I got last car on my personal list. Its an old sedan. Yet everybody has lost their minds in parting them out! Their Looney here. I was always a pontiac guy until a puzzle unraveled before my eyes in 2014. 30 years spent on pontiac without ever know what ford, chevy, olds had to offer. I liven simple believing all I ever desire was pontiac. Since 2014 I've researched online all that I possibly could. I had found a suitable sedan or two but my budget just not balanced enough to hamdle the logistics & the buyers were somewhat elussive. Come to find out, most pictures of cars for sale on google are old archived postings. Whether the car sold or not, google never bothered to update. I had been chasing Ghosts. Thinking I had this sedan cornered only too discover it presently no longer existed. In fact, the only ones that ever do exist on craigslist are being parted out or they are trailer queens. E bay sometimes has an affordable offerring, though I've yet to see one in the last six years. I'm no longer able to use my old computer online. I understsnd true value & that sometimes its just cheaper to buy the whole car to get my required parts. All the while avoiding parting out a road worthy car. My journey is taking too long. I'm not beaten. I'm pissdd off. Its makes dig in my heals. I'll 90 & still building my dream cars. I may never get to drive them & that's tradgedy. I know there are deals too be had still. MP I've not heard of before. Is it like Etsy? I just heard of Etsy 10 years ago. Prices are usually like a rollercoaster. Too much pride for my budget.

Very cool yard and video! I'm a child of the 80's/90's so I love cars from that era. Old Musclecars are sweet too as my Dad had them growing up.
It all depends on what generation you grew up in I guess. I can work on and fix the older stuff but the electronics on newer stuff gives me the fits.
@DEADCARRESCUE For sure. Cars are very much a generational thing.

The exuberance of youth starts catching up with you around your mid forties and really become bothersome in your sixties, though that's my opinion, my health has been poor from birth.
Yes, their was a pickup bed similar to that, but I can't remember what their called, but it was either a model or an option?
Alas, no Corvairs. ;-D
Your car had the best look of all of those 60’s Chevys. Beautiful cars!
@PuddinsFabShop check out this BMW at 31 minutes, it's the brother/ sister to the Towrolla . You can't pass this one up as a back up to the Ole Towrolla
I watch puddin all the time, one of my favorite car shows. And that Toyota sold right after I filmed that video. Thanks for watching brother.
That Dodge Pick up is a 1959 D-100 Pick up . And those tail lights did come on that it.
Yeah I googled 1958 dodge truck and there it was.
Those Dodge pickup were sharp new!
I’ve looked but haven’t found new pictures of them yet.
Last time I was there I ran off in one of those gulley washer and bent my running board
They were some deep ones at Rones salvage.
That Dodge Is a Rare Truck Factory built using wagon 1/4s .
It looks home made but I know it’s real.
Awesome video.. thank you so very much.. any Mopar yards around? Between k.c. mo. And cash ark.? I would love to see a video on them . .
I’m searching all the time.
I have a 64 Impala SS I got from a junk yard and put over 100k into the thing in 7 years ...Its pretty much like getting now into a new car
Wow! I’ve owned three 64’s and one 63 back in the day. Those were running $150 cars back then.
@@DEADCARRESCUE oh yeah I just subscribe.
Love your video
Thanks Howard.
Great video! The netherlands.
Thank you for watching. What kind of old cars are in the Netherlands?
Wish I lived closer i would be on that 67 fire bird with Camaro front clip
It would be a fun project.
That's about a 60 Dodge Cameo pickup.. Probably a rare unit..🥃😎👌
It’s a 1958 and called a Swept side. I looked it up. So it really is real I guess.
Well done make. More
I will be filming another. Thank you.
I love all ur videos I love them and show me how to do it and I seen and and lii
Thank you so much.
Steve you need to come by the A-1 office and get you a cap or two and maybe a yeti cup if we have anymore
If I come by and see you’re there I will do that. Thanks.
Cool video
Keep it up.
Will do. Thanks
Great video. I live right down the road from Joeys place. I didn't see any in video, but did you spot any VW bugs there?
That's a clean 66 in Ash Flat. Looks to be in good shape.
No bugs but then I wasn’t looking too hard. Thanks for watching.
Well one viewer said I sound like Nick Knowltie if I’m spelling his last name right.
@@DEADCARRESCUE no nothing like nick k..I been looking I find him..thought it was Richard Farnsworth. But not.
All been picked through. Unfortunately nothing feasible there to restore.
Good parts on some for those who are looking though.
If you are looking for something call joey he has shit stuck back all over you would be surprised at the car's stuck back
68-69 El Camino for sure
Yep
That camaro is perfect for me and my son to build up the next 8-10 years.
Give Joey a call
Cool video
Thank you !
I like your video I thought it was pretty good
Well thank you sir. I appreciate the comment.
I cut off sugar for two weeks & now apples taste sweet again.
Tomatos inflame authritis.
I cut back on them too.
I move around a lot better now.
Less aches & paines slowing me down.
Best regards.
The pickup is real . That's a rare dodge truck. It was manufactured that way
I saw that when I pulled up 1958 dodge pickup. It is called a swept side.
That’s were we went and looked at the wrecker down from my hunting land
Yep that was it.
CHEVROLET BEATIFUL 😍
Thanks
HAPPY EASTER folk,s
Thank you and Happy Easter to you.
Looking for a 41' Pontiac coupe!
I don’t even know what a 41 looks like.
@@DEADCARRESCUE sorry, I was watching on closed captions not listening to audio, I guess the caption misspelled it.
I've known Jerry Haygood for years, let me know and I'll get you in there 😁
Don't forget about Benny iness's on 90 east of ravenden springs
AMC had interior options like Piere Cardan and Levis blue jean... and Ill take a Mark Donahue javelin over Camaros and Mustangs!
I remember Levi’s interior
California Smoke still here poppy
Thank you sir.
It's a 67 firebird look at the gills on the fender right behind the door okay it's a firebird with a Camaro front clip
Yep
You are both half right. A Firebird is the Pontiac version of the Camaro on the exact same platform. Signed-Richard.
The truck truck is a 1958 dodge swept side
Cool. First one I’ve ever seen.

@@DEADCARRESCUE Is MP on Facebook?
The Corvette is a 74 or 75.
I figured it was somewhere around those years. Thanks for watching.
I'm looking for a cab for a 1967-'72 chevy c-10
There was a 70 or 71 in the video I think.
Make more of them just slow down,
I got ya! I will slow down and spend a bit more time videoing them. Thanks for your input. Do you think I need more quiet time from me? I sometimes tell story’s about similar cars from when those cars were plentiful back in the day.
Where is this located in Arkansas
Ravenden Arkansas. On the West side
You can bet prices are high.thankd to the internet.everyone thinks they have automotive gold.even in Arkansas
And it’s only going to get worse.
