Meadows has to be THE role model for a person who has found the perfect balance between the iron and the heart. The man is pure gold. Anyone who's into bodybuilding (athlete or enthusiast) understands how hard it is to keep your body hard and your heart soft.
I’m so upset that I missed this when it was live! I just want to say that I’ve discovered John this last year and have implemented his tips on certain cues and proper form and even picked up some of the EliteFTS bands for my home gym and I’ve really noticed a difference in my physique and workouts in general. Also, he seems so humble and down to earth.
Hey John! Just wanted to say it's such a joy watching your videos, your aura and energy radiates such wisdom and kindness. Keep doing you and thank you for sharing your knowledge! :)
One of the few channels where I click like before the video even starts. My friend and LIVING LEGEND, John Meadows. Peace to you and your family in these crazy times, my friend. You have been an inspiration to me for a long time.
Granite protein is now my daily driver. I have 4-6 scoops a day and no stomach irritation. Peanut butter is #1 but salted caramel is a close second. Keep up the great work John!
I missed this live, but John in case you see this comment: I teared up when you discussed your dead heart tissue "reviving." I lost my father to heart disease, and I love that you are thriving. Thank you for being a calming presence for so many of us. Hopefully next time around I'll catch the livestream so I can ask my questions :-)
YEAH JOHN!!! As if I didn’t like you enough already! First, Fouad is your protege! Second, FLY EAGLES FLY!!! 🦅🦅🦅 keep up the great work! You are one of the most inspiring and intelligent people I have ever seen and wish I met!
I was looking for your programs now and I found a site with some bio of you with your story. Reading through I got a bit wet in my eyes. You have lived a very difficult life from the beginning and been through hell at times, and still you are extremely successful. This is so awesome and inspiring to all of us.
You’re not kidding about shortages all over. I’m in the corporate side of retail and late deliveries and short-shipping are a common occurrence. Supply is completely constrained due to overseas shipping bottlenecks. All of the major retail vendors (Nike, Adidas, etc.) are suffering from it.
Hi John Sorry I missed this. Was wondering if you would be able to please complete the build your own workout series. I’m hanging for the rest of the body parts and splits ! 😁🙏
Quick question I’m on Calorie deficit should I change it still consume the same calories and on non training days. Or should stay as I am to get the extra fat off on calorie deficit
That 16 yo is crazy wanting new equipment. Of course the owner won't listen to you, you're 16. You have limited experience with any equipment but want more pieces... Some of the old pieces are the best, simple and effective if used right--like anything. Not all are great but that also applies to the new pieces. Steer away from the YT and IG fitness influencers. Just because they're using every machine ever made doesn't mean those are necessary.
John if im about 166lbs how many grams of carbs do you think I need per day? I’m getting the protein but I’m still not sure I’m getting quite enough carbs. Kinda scared it I eat too many I will start putting on unwanted fat.
That's super hard for him to answer because he has no idea how active you are. Plus, carbs won't make you gain weight. Eating more calories than you burn will make you gain weight. Don't be afraid of carbs either, they're great fuel for your workouts.
I know all that but thanks. I train hard and I said f it when it comes to carbs. I’m just eating and eating clean and often as well as training my ass off. Gains are coming along nicely.
Why do you always where a lifting belt when doing non-back exercises? Say DB bench press? I’d love to know the proper way to fit a belt and use one. I use it for squat and deadlift, but nothing else.
Could be that too, but usually it's just to increase intra-abdominal pressure during the lift. It makes you more stable chain, and sorta plugs any energy leaks. Makes it a little easier to get the weight up, and attack the muscle you're going for.

For support, in DB bench press some stick their chests out or arch their backs which might cause the lower back muscle to cramp.
Could be that too, but usually it's just to increase intra-abdominal pressure during the lift. It makes you more stable chain, and sorta plugs any energy leaks. Makes it a little easier to get the weight up, and attack the muscle you're going for.
