  • 🇵🇱 Pałac w Wiśniowcu
    🇺🇦 Вишнівецький палац
    Construction period: 1720 - 1732.
    Founder: Prince Michal Serwacy Wisniowiecki.
    Historical note:
Around 1720 Lithuanian Grand Chancellor Prince Michal Serwacy Wisniowiecki ordered the reconstruction of the former palace in Wiśniowiec (Vyshnivets, currently in Ukraine). New wings were added to the palace, and the entire work was completed in 1731-1732.
Wisniowiecki's residence through his granddaughter came into the hands of the Mniszech family and inherited the seventeenth-century bastion fortifications from its predecessor.
The best years of the palace are associated with the Mniszech family. During the reign of Jan Karol Mniszech and his son Michal Jerzy Wandalin, the palace was expanded and rebuilt in the Rococo style, with work completed around 1781.
It is considered one of the most outstanding baroque aristocratic residences in Volhynia.
The “PL-UA. History by drone” project consists of 100 short film productions depicting architectural monuments that were created in the period of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The series of short documentary films were screened in Ukraine. A Polish-Ukrainian team consisting of historians, journalists, writers, non-governmental organisations and youth joined forces to create the films. Project was financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.
