I LOVE that you don't resort to hysterical all caps titles for your vids or post exploitative pics as thumbnails, yet still have managed to grow one of the most honest, genuine & ethical channels on UA-cam! I wish you continued success and abundance. You two are are inspirations!
EDIT: A calendar with your outstanding photography would be a huge success!
Wendy D thank you 😊 💓
@@SimpleLivingAlaska I agree with Wendy. But I think the titles could be beefed up a bit to help draw your target audience to find your videos. Foraging wild berries in Alaska in fall I Off grid lifestyle - those keywords are likely what people are searching for and could get you more views. Your content though is absolutely beautiful and so informative and you are my favorite channel because of your knowledge and personalities.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
For a wheelchair rider like me I appreciate the videos y'all make. I too was a big outdoor person and now because of my eyesight and the lost legs due to car accident I set at home. I'm 57 yrs old . 16 year's since wreck ..the videos is my outdoors. Love y'all life and never take it for granted. God speed
Literally said “awwwwwwww 🥺” when you two kissed before you ate that delicious breakfast. Couple goals
i get the impression these kids like each other. when i grow up I want to work with Mrs. Poling as well as these two work together.
Best couple on UA-cam am I right?
I'd have to agree. They are doing Alaska right - I've been here 50 years and a lot of experience outdoors; these folks are just great!
Absolutely nothing pretentious about them 👍🙃
👍 👍 👍 👍 yes
Agreed! 🤍
Yessss
I have just gotten lost emotionally watching all your videos. My brothers and myself were born in Alaska, but my parents decided there wasn't enough opportunity in Alaska. So they moved us all down to central California when I was 3. The reason your videos are so emotional for me is because Dad was trying for all he was worth to go back one last time. He never made it before he passed, so I was always going to try to get back there in his memory. Unfortunately I now have gotten too old and sick to go back to the place of my birth. I just wanted to see what it was Dad and Mom loved so much.
Through your videos I am seeing what they loved. Please keep making these beautiful videos of your life there. They make me incredibly happy.
The two of you are so cute together during the cooking and eating.
I enjoyed the music..good old country ...glad some else enjoys old time music
It’s a beautiful song. What’s the title of the song?

Great views of that lovely area, river, trees, etc.
Please be careful with that winch line - standing near the anchor... if that cable snaps & whips, it can cause serious injury!
I almost offered the same advise in my comment.
Y'all are just living the dream life! And it starts with the one thing I've never had. A loving partnership! You would never make it without each other, and that fact is so apparent! God bless you on your life up there. I so enjoy your videos!
You KNOW you're all happy campers, when everyone has blue teeth from the sweet berries. That meal did look amazing. And, what a good boy that dog is. You two are a bright spot on UA-cam and represent Alaska well.
I live in the so-called Eastern Europe!ROMANIA! I would never EVER in my life would experience Alaska without you guys! And for that I'm extremely grateful,Eric and Arielle!THANK YOU!
I love how your pup is so well behaved when you are cooking the food. such a good boy!
Absolutely! Best couple on UA-cam! This area you are in today is so beautiful. I love the trees, the blue berry bushes and the river!
My husband was stationed there for 5 years and even though I was born and raised in a border town in the desert I will forever claim Alaska as home. Thank you for the beautiful cinematography and the truly informative and enjoyable content that you put out. Blessings!
That's a cool rocket stove, looks like it's built to last. Breakfast looks so good!
I always cook my sausage, and or bacon first, and my scrambled eggs always look like that. You can fry your eggs in there too. That place is just magically beautiful, I would be very jealous, if I didn't like y'all so darn much. Makes my heart warm to see a couple so in tune with each other, and nature.
Jimmy
I think this was one of my very favorites from you two! I was already smiling about Arielle's blue smile when she commented on Eric's less blue lips lol.. adorable.
Blown away, this one is special for some reason. You guys really are living the life of dreams. Enjoy the ride and keep showing us all about life in Alaska!
--guys it's awesome you're enjoying life so very much!!! the rest of us just live vicariously through you.... keep up the great videos!
Any food cooked outside becomes outstanding!! Thank you for bringing us along!!
Blessings!!
Hunger is the best seasoning ;)
"Bandit" and "Beau" are just so Wonderful with their little coats on running by the car thingy. I always thought Alaska would be greener, maybe because your heading into your Beautiful Winter it's drying out. You Ariel as nd Erin are so Lucky being there collecting berries, fresh of the bush yummy. O.M.G Having that delicious brekie lunch by that river and scenery so Wonderful. Heading into our summer here in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and I'm dreading it. Please guy's STOP getting younger. The lifestyle you are living is truly making you both look younger and so healthy! Kind thoughts you beautiful Earth Angel's! 🐕🐕😇😇🐈 "🐈" ❄☃️⛄🌬💗💞💙
I love your cooker. I also like that you make meals outdoors with real ingredients!😀❤️
I know I say this a lot but I really enjoy your videos. I don't get to get out much from injuries due to a car accident so watching your vlogs gives me the glimpse of the wilderness I miss when I use to hike.
Beautiful views!! Please don’t stand in front of the winch cable, try and put a piece of tarp or something so it can stop the whiplash in case it breaks
It's such a joy to watch you guys explore all the amazing things Alaska has to offer.
I hope yours thank god or what ever you believe in every day for such a blessed life. Enjoy
Love your videos! The content is always fun and informative. The scenery is spectacular.
Great day, love seeing Bandit along. The scenery looks hand painted! Hope Bo is well.
You're living one of the most beautiful ways to live. Well done brave family 👍
Love that meal. Especially those Dirty eggs. Bet they were great.
add a tiny bit of water to the eggs as they are cooking and they get fluffier. milk will make them heavier.
Thanks for taking us on this trip. You two do great in your prestation. I really enjoy watching you.
Thomas
What you guys do with growing, hunting and foraging for food is just amazing - what a life, thank you for sharing!! Stay safe, be happy❤❤
My 3 year old and I are watching this on a cold winter night from not too far down the road....missing the fall. We love your NSFW land anchor! Glad to see you guys enjoying yourselves! See ya on the trails.
Awesome scenery, awesome food and the most awesome dog - perfect vid! 👍
Y'all! We LOVE watching your adventures! That grub looked great! Keep having fun! - B+E
I'm so glad to see you and your animals living your best lives.

The scenery was exceptionally beautiful today!

Wow. It looks like an amazing meal. The authenticity of your channel is incredible. Thanks for sharing with us.
Wow you guys! This video was spectacular with the music, drone footage, roadside views, cooking and I always adore your chatter. I loved every single second! I appreciate having the opportunity to be part of your lives and times. Thank you both!
This is thee best cooking show in the media.....five stars......
that dog drooling at 12:36... haha... Y'all talking about your dirty/flavourful eggs, and the dog is like - where's my plate?
I love picking wild berries. Your meal looked fabulous guys .... I know it always tastes better when you are out and about, but that was very nice. The effort you two put into your harvesting come back to you in spades. Beautiful "tundra" scenery as well. Take care Eric & Arielle.
Looks amazing 🥰. We had waffle BLTs with reduced peaches, love breakfast for dinner.
I love that you take me along on your adventures. Alaska is so beautiful and rugged. Ya'll really take some great photos and blend the music just perfect. Enjoy and keep sharing.
First round are griddle cakes due to oil excess... Those belong to me cold firm on the go. Second round after slightly thinning out batter and adding post berries are hers served warm and fresh with love. Thanks for your vids we appreciate it.
Image at 4:10 had me confused for a second. What a wild place.
I thought I was looking at two different videos
it must feel awesome this year having the wood, fish and moose you need for the upcoming winter already! Sure some of the garden items could have been more plentiful but still it must be such a relief! p.s Love your awesome scenic opening video work! Awesome as always!
The dog was drooling watching them cook
LOVE your videos! Thanks for taking the time share it with us.
Love breakfast for dinner!! Don't always have time for a big breakfast in the morning!
Beautiful trek! Loved the country up in the mountains - it's so beautiful up there! Such a beautiful lake :) It's interesting to think about what men would have seen that explored those vast ranges.. and what you are sharing with us now as you do so! Thank you, always :) oh, btw - gorgeous breakfast! - top bad Beau was lazy, and so funny that Bandit was tossing out the cranberries! :D
What a nice adventure you guys had, that landscape is beautiful and so vast and diverse,it changes so suddenly talk about Swamp on a hill , I hope you know you are living life to it,s fullest,it doesn't, get any better.keep videos coming.

Well I had a hunger until I saw that, now I'm wolfing hungry.....enjoy, good company, good outdoor and do ye hear that noise......just nature
Always love your videos! You two love the best life there is
What an amazing video and scenery! I found your channel just a few weeks ago and already been binge-watching during some rainy summer days in Norway 😄 Such genuine videos, and fantastic knowledge and skills you are sharing - I have already been learning a lot and so inspired by your lifestyle. Thank you! 😃
My mouth was watering. Remember when my parents would take us elk hunting and we would have us pick berries for breakfast and we had pancakes and eggs the same way!!!
I really enjoy your video's and thank you for sharing them with all of us. I planted two blueberry bushes this year and have been picking blackberries like crazy this year.
Thanks guys. I had never heard of a land anchor so I looked it up on Amazon. That lead me to some other winter traction devices like traction boards, or easy to attach tire chains or traction devices. Also, winch type items that will work without a winch mount. I should be better set up to get up the hill this winter in North Idaho thanks to your unintentional suggestions!
Lots of good times to be had - but seeing Arielle stand on that ground winch with all that torque on the chain made me cringe to think what could've happened to her if that ripped out of the ground and hit her 😲 Be safe - and keeping having fun!!
Always great adventures. Nice to be home, watching all the fun.
If it pulled out of the ground it would have gone the opposite direction from her towards the vehicle
@@RJ-cc5cv I was trying to keep my comment brief, but, among other possibilities, the line also could have snapped causing serious injury to her. Unfortunately, I have seen quite a few life altering injuries with winches while serving overseas in the Army; as a member of a major city's fire department; and, again while doing overseas humanitarian work. It's amazing how quickly an accident can, and often does, occur in a blink of an eye when cables/chains are involved.
If you check out the responses to the next comment on the same "winch safety" concerns, there are numerous folks who also had seen/experienced loss of legs and/or life in freak winch accidents.
Just a word of advice from someone who works around cables daily. NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER stand in line of a winch cable under load. That cable does not care aand usually cuts off whatever it strikes when it breaks.
Great video as usual otherwise.
Drape pair of jeans or some rags, anything like that over the cable under load...when it snaps it takes all the energy.....and you'll get to live in 1 piece.
exactly what i was thinking, And yes a heavy pair of clothing over the line is better than nothing!
I am retired healthcare. Many years ago a longshoreman came in as a trauma. He was working onboard a ship when a cable snapped and unfortunately it amputated both legs. Ouch!
@@vincentlerie2911 Thanks for sharing...also for your years of giving.
@@vincentlerie2911 Same here a few years ago. Logging cable, and took off both legs.
I love your videos! Been binge watching them for days! Bought some property in southern Oregon and can’t wait to get out there and start building my cabin and start my simple life!
Wow! This could be the ultimate add for Alaska! You guys rock!
your dog drooling so bad in the background :) Such a beautiful video - thank you!
Your videos of the countryside are amazing. We need to see more please!!☺
Your channel brings me such joy, love watching you guys no matter what you do .As soon as i saw you going up hills i was thinking how are you going to get un stuck again ,you always have a way! Food looked absolutely amazing, specially dirty eggs and that dinner is totally worth having the blue teeth .
I just love your cooking segments. The adventure of getting to that meal was terrific!
I like the music for the intro. Thank you for your videos
Love your blue berry smiles in the end :-) Keep posting, i love following your videos guys!!
Awesome adventure! Gorgeous videography, and thank goodness for the land anchor! Great idea putting the marinade in your patties - I gotta admit, I drooled a little :) dinner looked amazing (as always) Thanks for taking us along for the ride; I had a blast!

Some good eating especially the sausage w Eric’s special add ins!weather looks lovely but the views from upper area was beautiful! Thx for another wonderful video. Susan
Thank you so much for switching things up and taking us all on a tour. It’s nice to see fall, and the meal looks delicious. Love the drone footage.
Your videos get better and better.
You can tell you are enjoying your surroundings.
God bless.
Thanks for taking us along with you on your adventure. I enjoyed it very much. You have inspired me to make sourdough. I have some bubbling away on the counter. It's 3 days in. Shared one discard with our neighbors. Hoping to make pancakes with the next discard. Researching the proofing and baking procedure. Your bread looked so good, I just have to give it a try!
If I had my life to live over again I would do it exactly like you guys are doing.. I’m a bit old now to start now. I did have dreams of Alaska when I was a young man unfortunately life and family made that impossible. Looking back I wish I would have made that leap of faith
I went to the grocery store for milk after watching this & ended up buying blueberries, & sausage for breakfast in the morning. Won’t be as good, but I can’t wait! 👩🍳😂
The music is amazing...so are the views... Thank you for sharing..
What a wonderful life you have!
Hard at times but also fun!
Cowboy candy just elevates every meal! Great choice. Fun day!
Такую молодую семью редко увидишь ,среди миллионов семей, трудятся дружно как пчёлки.
Wow thanks for sharing. Such a beautiful places.and beautiful views.
I was watching your back thinking bear's to. Like I could worn you lol. Love it
I think that you two are just so awesome! I've heard your story of how you got to Alaska in one of your other videos. I am very impressed with your fearless attitude toward making such a big move in life. I enjoy watching your everyday life and challenges you share on UA-cam. You both are very young to be where you are at this point in life! Your relationship is that of really good friends, which is very important in a marriage! You encourage each other, congratulate each other, and are very kind to one another.
Keep up the good work! You are a joy to watch, and also i learn alot of new ideas from the both of you!
I also came from the bay area in California. I still live in California but in the foothills. I love it up here away from all the hustle and bustle. But it is real expensive to live in Ca. I like being away from all the crowded cities and people. I have family and friends who live in Talkeetna Alaska! How far is that from you all?
Good luck and thanks for sharing!♥️
Less than an hour drive.
@@historian2 oh my gosh! Thats great! Yes, I just remembered what street they are on. Its East Montana Creek rd. They are a ways from Cubbies grocerie store!!! I think thats how you spell it. I am going to visit maybe next year after all the covid settles down. My friend used to work at cubbies, or cubby grocerie in the deli just for fun. She's retired also. Man this is so cool you guys are not far from Talkeetna! I love that town! Well have a great weekend and stay safe out in that wilderness!!♥️🍁👍
Such an adorable couple!! Love your videos so much! I can't wait to make cowboy candy lol. And Bandit looks at you both when you're eating, like our girl Halle looks at us! Lol big ole beggars with those puppy dog eyes hahaha! ❤ Great video as always!
Wow is right. That looks amazing. I just ate supper three hours ago. Now I am starving again :-)
And love the dyed lips, tongues and teeth. My gosh those blueberries are strong! Could make a good dye one day if ever needed. Lovely shade of blueberry!
U guys are so courageous n confident i really envy u . I live on South America but do enjoy your videos/simple uncomplicated lifestyle. Stay blessed.
I can eat before watching you guys and you still make me hungry...lol.
Breakfast for dinner!!! It’s the best! My wife and I do it often.
Ok, so the opening song of this video made me cry. Let me run thru the breez like the leaves on the trees. Yes please. 🧚♀️🍁🍂
Great vid, beautiful landscape/mountain. Nature is always stunning! Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic video! Thank you for enjoyment! Lots of amazing colours, very clever dog, delicious food and very lovely music! Have a wonderful weekend Mates!
I lov that eric cooks too. My husband also cooks for me out on the grille!!!!💞💞💞💞😸😸😸😸
I love that both of them do/share all the work and tasks. Ariel is a work horse alongside Eric, and Eric is a domestic god alongside Ariel. They are a great team.
Love the dog drooling while he’s watching you eat.
This is great, what is the folk song at the start? A refreshing change from banging UA-cam music :)
@@laurac2949 Thank you!!
The drone footage is excellent - gorgeous color palette and textures! 👍👍
