What can I say? You two are about the best homesteaders on You Tube and that's a fact! Another Excellent espisode that I thoroghly enjoyed....Thanks so much!🥰👍👍👍
Alaskans are incredibly territorial of their berry picking spots. My parents have had the same mail lady nearly 30 years, and once they asked where she went to pick berries and she didn’t talk to them for 3 months! 😂
hahah that seems a little extreme considering there are literally berries everywhere up here!! my backyard is filled with blueberries and raspberries during the summer. They're like weeds up here, can't make enough pies or jelly before they're back!
I can't believe it has been 4 years!! Seems like yesterday you sold the farm and made that long trek to Alaska!! I feel fortunate that I have made the journey with you by watching your videos. You've come a long way and I love it. Can't wait to see your winter trips to the remote cabin!
I know, right? I had just discovered their channel because we got chickens & then they had to give away their chickens etc & move. I live in the country on a few acres but have city/urban people here on our street that built huge houses & think we should be subject to HOA rules & called the county out on us 5-6 times. But last time we allowed the inspector in our barn/garage to take pictures proving it was a livable space & the county no longer records their complaints. I so wish we lived on 10-20 acres in Alaska.
I’ve been watching going on two years now and can’t believe their accomplishment’s, it’s unbelievable and absolutely luv every time I see they’ve posted a video, lol 😉❤️
Watching Beau reminded me of my mom's little American Eskimo dog, when it was just a puppy, eating blueberries off the bush when we were picking. The dog and Mom are long gone now, but it was still a great memory.
I love that Beau catches his own fish and picks his own berries! 7:25 so cute Beau browsing. Bandit is the builder Beau is the hunter gatherer. Roasted Poblanos will add a nice smoky flavor to your bbq sauce
Wow so huge of black raspberries picking in the mountain it was really like it and enjoy pick fruits berries, i love mushroom full of health benifits . ❤❤❤❤❤ 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
You two just amaze me on your survival skills, and living off the land. Arielle was right when she said you learn by getting out there and then research. Bo amazes me on how he makes up for being his laid back self by foraging and fishing. Bandit, however, is out running a marathon and hunting.
Oh WOW! It’s really fall… such beautiful colors! BLUEBERRIES RULE! Eric & Arielle, thanks for bringing me back to my youth when we’d pick our way up the ski mountain in NH and ride the chair lift down with all our buckets full! My mom would use the picker! THANKS! 🫐🫐🫐
So sorry friend, we in America are praying for all humanity through these torturous days, praying for these leaders to compose themselves and make wise, courageous decisions on behalf of the people on earth. They want our vibrations down, let us rejoice together and lift our vibrations high in a victorious way. Much love to you and your family and friends, know that you are loved!
I'm ordering 2 calendars. I discovered a couple weeks ago my son subscribes to your channel also. So 1 calendar for his place and 1 for me. Thanks for sharing all the beautiful things in Alaska!
Just had surgery and can’t lift or do any physical work for a few weeks so I’m foraging along with y’all “mentally” 😂 thanks for taking me along ! 🥰😍 hugs to those pups!
The colors changed quickly up there in God’s country!🍂🍁 Nature will provide as long as one looks, listens & learns. I’m a chicken, I’m to afraid to forage for shrooms, so I end up paying an arm & a leg for store boughten mushrooms.😬 Thanks for uploading the video. Cheers, Doc✌🏼
You have the clearest voice I've ever heard on UA-cam; it might be a weird comment, but that's the first thing that popped to mind when I clicked on the video! Also, subbed for sure. How could I not? Happy people living an inspiring life!
My mom would make us go out in the rain to pick blueberries at our old cabin. We were pretty grumpy about that. Maybe if there was fresh coffee and that beautiful view? Great video, as usual. Bandit is a rock star. ❤️
👍👌👏 Simply fantastic! Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health to all involved life forms (humans animals and plants).
Bo knows... Bandit's ready!! They're such good travelling boys. That's great how they enjoy eating berries with you while picking. Great lookin' recipes there too. What a great bounty all those mushrooms are! Wow! Get all of those goodies that you can. Take a bowl of frozen blueberries, pour 1/2 n 1/2 over them. The frozen berries will make it into a sort of ice cream. It's a great dessert all by itself. I'll bet that batch of bars you made would rock with cinnamon on them too.
Alaska is stunning this fall, I just started watching your channel about a month ago and i have just finished watching all of your videos and I'm glad I have watched all of them because you manage to capture some breathtaking footage of Alaska, you both are so amazing at all if the tasks you have accomplished in ur cabins and garden, I hope you both have another amazing year in Alaska, thank you so much for the wonderful content you both put out.
When I was a kid we had turkey's tongue and hickory chickens out in the hills (turkeys tongue is like bean sprouts and hickory chickens are morel mushrooms) spent many hours searching for yummy food like that. Good memories
I've been using this recipe for over 20 years! It's from the back of the Martha White Flour bag! I have used every kind of jam known to man to make it - even used Nutella once! It's a family favorite and at Thanksgiving it's made with homemade cranberry sauce! Oh! I'm getting the calender right now! LOVE your show! You and Erin from Wild Wonderful Off Grid are the SMARTEST ladies on UA-cam!
I was really hoping you would have a video out today. I just love how you go out and harvest. Makes me wish I was a little younger. Thank you for taking us along on your adventure. You make my day. Give Bo and Bandit a hug for me. Take care. Love you guys. Have a blessed week❤️🍁🍂
Hi! I'm a new subscriber. Timmy from Truck House Life spoke very highly of you on his live today and even recommended you. Which I is rare! So far, I'm loving it! I'll never live in Alaska or even homestead again, I'm a little too worn for that. So, thank you for letting me live vicariously through you ❤
In Eastern Canada. Blueberry Season is in July in Ontario. August- mid September in Nova Scotia. Cranberries are harvested in October. Just before Thanksgiving. Glad you were able to harvest so many blueberries this year. So late in the Season. They sure love the rain and plump up from it. Thanks for sharing your jam bars recipe. They look delicious. Thanks for the videos.
Love your beautiful videos, your babies are so cute and smart, thanks for the beautiful scenery and day of blueberries picking and mushrooms hunt, and the glorious food, y’all are blessed with the harvest. Much love to all ❤️🙏🇺🇸👏
The cranberry juice was so vibrant Arielle. At least neither of you will suffer with urinary tract infections while you continue to drink it. It is also high in vitamin C and contains lots of antioxidents and stops free radicals from damaging cells and DNA in your body and can help fight against cancer, heart disease and also help fight off infections and can delay or reduce the severity of chronic disease. Just be a little careful if you suffer with acid reflux as cranberry juice is mildly acidic and can temporarily worsen the reflux when you drink the juice a lot. You hit the mother lode of mushrooms this year and I cannot wait to see what you create with them. Hugs to you both and the fur babies, Michelle
You both are so amazing. I love your channel. Your area is so beautiful. But everything our Lord touches is that way. ❤️ Foraging is a very useful skill to have. You both have many important ones. Thanks for the videos :)
Thanks to you guys , Alaska becomes more and more beuatiful and lovely to us ! I used to think Alaska is a “ Dead” state; no one can and want to live there! Thanks for sharing !
This was a great day with you two...gallons of blueberries and mushrooms (I would never tell a soul about that secret berry spot.) The close ups were beautiful, especially Beau picking and eating blueberries - he's such a sweet guy. Then, we had joy in the kitchen....again! Thanks. Suzi
Always such a pleasure to watch you and the dogs on your adventures. We found some huckleberries in Colorado this summer, but nothing like the harvest you're getting up there. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us, hope to get to a point someday when I can retire and enjoy similar adventures. Appreciate you! 🙂
When using the blueberry rake you get some leaves. Pour the Barrie’s into a second bucket in front of a fan. The leaves will blow away while the berries are heavier and fall into the second bucket.we pick them in Grande Cache AB. Canada. Works great. Love your channel 👍❤️

Beau is such a precious, gentle boy. What a sweet soul ❤
You two should seriously consider a second channel just for cooking!
You drive me crazy seeing the scrumptious food you cook from scratch!❤
