Try ethos ceramic wax.. That stuff is amazing.. It made it all the way through a boating season with boat in water all year... $30 for 8oz but it pro grade stuff..
Great video Drake. I have watched many of your videos. I have a 2000 Checkmate 27 foot Convincor, (white) and will, carefully, attempt to detail my boat via your videos. The G9 I am purchasing today.with Griot Garage pads. I have also ordered Jescar Power Lock, for the work. Thank you man.......
I just discovered your videos and now I’m hooked. I have a 2017 chaparral that is black. I bought it new and I’ve been polishing/waxing each season to maintain its gloss. One thing I struggle with is proper order of doing things. Where I’m located we have. Wry hard water. If I strip the wax using dawn dish soap and attempt to rinse and dry, I seem to always get water spots. Should my next stop be to polish the boat which will remove water spots, and then wax. I just bought a griot orbital polisher and don’t mind putting in the time to make it look the best that I can as a diy person. Thanks
Great video. Quick question, I just bought a bought that sat for a year plus. Has a 12" red strip down the side that is faded. I followed your video, but the red is still a bit faded (white). It does seem to look better, but as it dries out, it gets white(ish) again. Is there a solution to make that red look new again? Repeat the steps until it looks good, or is there another step or product? Thanks!
Hey bro! So just “waxing” your boat alone will not help get rid of oxidation. To remove the oxidation, here’s the video you’d want to watch 😎m.ua-cam.com/video/u2IQoU8Vjrw/v-deo.html
Awesome vids. Im getting close to being done doing a full gelcoat restoration on my malibu skier. I always wipe my boat down to dry it as soon as I pull it out of the lake. What steps should I take to avoid putting any micro scratches in it when drying the lake water off?
Great question! When drying it when you pull out of the lake, make sure you use an ultras, soft microfiber, rag or towel (shammy’s work great too!) Don’t use anything rough, such as white terry cloths, those will put a bunch of micro swirls in the gelcoat. If you have access to a freshwater washdown when you pull your boat out just using the water that’s in the lake, that will help as well. After you spritz it with some freshwater, you can then dry it with your ultras, soft microfiber towel or cloth.
I’ve got a boat that has a chalky white finish with heavy oxidation would this waxing method work for a basic wash and wax always enjoy your videos best of luck in your new business take care and God bless
Hey bro! Unfortunately what you are describing is too far gone to do this waxing method I am doing in this video. You’ll need to compound (wetsand first if it’s really bad) polish, swirl remove and seal to. That’s just speculation based on what you have told me. Could need more, and could also need less.
Great video, your detailed explanation really helps. I see Jescar has come out with Ultra Lock+ ceramic polymer. I assume this is even better for my boat and truck finishes?
@@DrakesDetailing also do you use dawn in some water to soak the pads and then rinse and dry for reuse! I’ve seen where Shurhold boat cleaning products out of Florida have some special expensive powder to mix up. But if dawn works !!
Hey man, love the videos! How do you brake up pricing if the customer only wants rub rail up? I charge $25ft for a wash and sealant. What should I charge for a wash and sealant on rubrail up?
If it were me, I would be doing around $20-$25 per foot, per step for the top side, and then the same pricing structure rub rail down. If they want rub rail up, rub rail down done, I would meet in the middle of those two prices combined.
Thanks for your great advice - helps us home boat owners look after our rigs properly. Quick question: I have white rub rails that discolor, going yellow overall but with varying dark marks. What product will clean them back to white? TIA.
Hey Peter! Try a small spot with some diluted bleach on the rub rail, be carful, if you accidentally get it on your gel coat and don’t wipe it off right away it can scar it! But see how that works!
Great Videos Drake! It has has even turned into must watch tv with my kids haha. I have a 2022 wake boat and i recently just purchased a Griots G9 orbital with the Uro Microfibre pads and the Jescar Power Lock plus. Is this what you would recommend for a first timer; or should i go with a different pad or product?
Hey bro! Thanks so much for the awesome support! That’s a great start! If there’s any oxidation you’ll need to get it out with compound or polish to remover the oxidation or any swirls, then do your Jescar. But, if there’s no oxidation then you are right on track!
Hello, so as a diyer, is there one all round polisher that can be used? Don’t want to buy numerous power tools if not necessary. Boat is not that oxidized if at all, just want to wash and wax. Just watched this and had already purchased cleaner /wax. Won’t use it now. Thanks
For start how many pads should i have for the flex? Planing to clean and wax my boat once a year. It is in the water only in the summer. 31ft express cruiser.
Drake, great videos. I just picked up a 2004 Cobalt 220. Need some help on bringing back the yellow color if possible. What product should I use to regenerate the color?
question for you , i have a formula 40 with imron paint -- has some scratches in it .. what can i use before ultra lock plus to take out those scratches ( maybe a compound & polish -like Turtle Wax 53478 Hybrid Solutions Pro 1 and Done Compound Correct and Finish ) also do you like power lock or ultra lock plus
Nice job body ! I do have a Meguiars da polisher and plan to use a microfiber pad to wax my rv with the Flagship Meguiars wax, do you recommend me to wait 30 minutes before taking off the residu of the wax? Microfiber pad is good too? Thanks.
I was planning on compounding my boat then polishing. Would using this product eliminate me having to compound? Should I compound then use this product? Thanks for the tip on Dawn. No wonder my boat is looking worse. Ive stripped everything off of it
Hey bro! It all depends on the condition of the gel coat whether it needs to be compounded or not. If there is a chalky field to the gel coat and you can scratch it with your nails, and it feels like a chalkboard, then you need to heavy, cut to remove the oxidation. if there’s no oxidation just holograms, then just polish, then seal.
@@DrakesDetailing thx. I’m totally confused though. One year old blue center console. Minor scratches. What polish and pad should I start with? Ordered your da v2 machine. Thx 🤪
Goodmorning Drake. Just purchased a new boat. Looks amazing so all i really need to do is wax but will the dawn soap strip the gel-coat? Or can I add another wax layer on top of the old layer?
@@DrakesDetailing Thanks! Quick question man , am trying to bring back to life a faded gelcoat hull so I bought Meguairs M100 Mirror Glaze Pro Speed compound. After watching your vids it seems that this will leave swirls and I will have to follow it up with another compound before final waxing if I'm not mistaken. Its a extra heavy cut. What product do I follow up with? 3M Finesse It II ?
Hi Drake, can't get enough of these videos. Any idea if the Buff & Shine Uro Fiber pads are compatible with the Flex 3401 VRG? If not, is there an alternative pad for polishing, not cutting, that you would recommend?
2002, 38 ft sea ray sun dancer: for the exterior, what is the order of cleaning steps? I want to wax, degrease, ceramic coat, buff, and clean from last season, while protecting for the upcoming season. Doing it myself, and I want to be thorough and most importantly, efficient (without cutting necessary corners to save time)
Hey bro! I’d try shine supply’s line of compounds, start with their heavy cut and move down the line of compounds and polishes based off of their compound charts on their website. If the heavy cut shine supply is not cutting though all of the oxidation, then it more than likely needs wet sanded. cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0645/8097/files/compounds.pdf?v=1646261121
Hey Drake, question for you. Have you had any experience using Jescar Ultra Lock + using on gelcoat Vs. Jescar Power Lock +. If so do you prefer one over the other. Thanks in advance.
@@DrakesDetailing similar question so polish with jasper and then use a sio2 ceramic paint sealant flowed with starke replenish silica spray is this correct
Your videos are fantastic man! Thanks for putting in the work. How do I know when I need to polish my boat first? The gelcoat looks/feels pretty smooth (color painted), no oxidizing, pretty new boat, indoor kept 2019. I only see videos about compounding/restoring which polishing is a given. Thanks!
Thanks for your kind words! Run your fingernails over your gelcoat, the chalkier it feels then heavier you need to go with compounding. If it’s not bad at all, a quick polish and seal and it’ll be good to go 😎
Love your videos. Been detailing my boats for the past 44 years and never knew I was doing it wrong all those years. Polished the top of the boat with the Nautical One Ceramic Polish and it looks great. I plan to start on the hull tomorrow in my shop. In Northern Ohio at Lake Erie it's 30's outside. I heat my shop and would be interested in what's the coolest temp. you would detail your boats ?
Great video! I watch a lot I your stuff.... I live in Canada and boating season starts in a couple of months and I picked up at the end of last season a Yamaha 2015 242 limited S and the hull is back... completely black!!! I’m running in fresh water so once a year I have to clean the hull.... on my old boat it was white this one like I said solid black! What product do you recommend to get rid of staining on a fully black hull without damaging it? I hope to hear from you soon... if you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance
Dawn will take off any wax that may be on the boat, if you are wanting to clean the surface completely than just use dawn. Clay only really comes in hand if you have over spray on a boat, but even then there are usually easier options... in 7 years Iv once used clay on a boat once and it didn’t do what I needed it todo ha
Gotntonlove that drop of wax trick to mark where you stipped. Boss skills Why everyone in US always uses Dawn soap and not fairy dish soap? I frow away my m f cloths after buffing wax as i cant find anything to wash that wax off them
I have never heard of that brand dish soap before, so I couldn’t really tell you hahah. Yeah I just wash my work cloths, I don’t try to stain remove because it’s pretty much inevitable. Work cloths are work cloths for a reason, ha! 😂
Great video. Just getting into the boat biz. Been doing cars and RVs about 8 months now and just got a gig on a 40’ house boat! I use Griots Correcting Cream or Perfecting Cream on most of my jobs, depending on oxidation, etc. Can I use those on a house boat/boat? I also use orange foam pads. Can I use that or a softer pad on a boat? Thanks in advance! PS The house boat will only be used on fresh water lakes & rivers. PSS. As a newbie, may I ask how much you charge per foot?
Hey bro! I charge $15 per foot, per step of work that I do. I’m not a big Griots products fan myself, but it can get the job done. Orange pads will work just fine! 😎
@@DrakesDetailing Thx and I feel ya on product preference. As a beginner Griot’s cream polishes were really user friendly and low dust, making cleanup easy. I did however buy the Jescar Power Lock + polymer you recommended for boats, and really everything. And here is an update for ya: I did get the houseboat gig, and an RV gig along with a few more truck jobs. WOW. Things really blow up fast when the temps rise! Anyway, really looking forward to using the polymer. I hear it can last as much as 12-18 months depending on conditions and storage of the boat, etc. ALSO, any thoughts on a product named Collinite Auto All In One No. 325. It’s a one step polishing wax. I was told by another detailer in Salt Lake City to apply this after/onto the polymer for a smooth as a baby’s butt finish. Thoughts?
how many uses do you get out of microfiber finishing pads? Do you clean them in between uses? Ive attempted to use water and dawn to clean sealant out of my pads but it doesn't seem to get the product out effectively.
Can the JEscar be applied to a wake boat used only in freshwater? Would it be necessary to apply a wax or something similar after doing jescar process, or end with that?
I have used the the Power Lock with the recommended pad. It has no been about 6 months. Should I remove Power Lock with Dawn or just apply over the existing application?
I was washing my boat the other day and notice a spot where the detail vinyl was cracking and peeling back..i peeled off a small bit and discovered metal underneath,,,IF i remove all the pin detailing and there is metal underneath how do i fix that? do i apply a clear gelcoat?
Just watched your video. My boat is 4 years old and I’ve only compounded spots where the dock marked it up. Do I have to compound the hull first or can I just do what your doing in the video?
@@DrakesDetailing thanks for getting back. Its not oxidized just seemed a bit dull. Appreciate all the videos and have been sending them to various groups and friends!!
Great video. Just had my boat detailed. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing job. Should I wait a bit before using your technique? What pads are you using to apply the product?
I'll be washing my 31' Tiara this winter in my heated building in Northern Ohio prior to applying the sealant you use. In a wash bucket, what ratio of Dawn to water would you recommend ?
Hey Drake. In other video’s you refer to Mernzrna 1500 but I can’t find it anywhere. What can use instead after using Mernerna 400 and before polishing. My boat is state blue. Thanks!
Hey Bro! Menzerna 1500 does not exist, they have a 400, 2500, and 3500z those are their main ones. I would polish with 2500 after you do the 400. The 3500 personally does not do much for me. Hope this helps!
Sweet video man. I just upgraded my champ boat and purchased a ranger bass boat. Thing looks brand new. Very well taken care of. Should i just follow these steps same way. Or should i try and strip whatever wax may have been on there then use your steps. Thanks.
Hey Drake, your DA link no longer works, it seems they probably replaced the product you have with a new version. Which of their current products would be a good replacement?
If there's a good chance of rain in the afternoon, is it ok to apply Jescar Power Lock + in the morning or should I wait until there's more dry time to let the sealant cure for 24 hours?
i am in the process of repainting the hull with awlgrip, primer is done about to apply top coat can i or should i wax it after the top coat and if so do any of the steps or products change? also can i use a separate pad after i apply the wax instead of a rag
I've been wondering what a good wash and wax would be that I could buy so I jumped to look up the Orpine.......but........it smells like pine. I don't want my boat to smell like pine. Any other suggestions?
Enjoy the videos. Just a boat owner that would like to take care of my boat and not waste time and money doing the wrong thing. So I have a question. After a day of saltwater fishing I have been rinsing my boat then spraying it down with Starbrite Deck Cleaner and letting it sit for several minutes. It really seems to loosen the bait that got smushed into the non-skid and the dried on blood and guts. It that cleaner one of those that will strip the wax off my boat? If so, what's your way of getting this job done?
@@DrakesDetailing Thanks again for your prompt reply. So if I'm getting this right, you're saying keep the boat waxed and it's easier to remove the blood, fish parts, ground in and dried bait on the non-skid. Then at the end of the day wash with a wash/wax product so as not to remove the wax. Right? And the only time I use the Deck Cleaner or Dawn or similar is when I'm ready to wax the boat again? Does the Starbrite Hull Cleaner I've been using to remove the hull stain or the Rustaide you mention in your videos, does that also remove wax from the hull?
Drake, what kind of pads are you using? What do you recommend for the maxshine polisher for deoxidizing and for waxing? I’m going to order from them shortly thanks to your video!
I can’t get enough of your videos. Actually looking forward to it this year. I have a black boat that the marina messed up a few years ago and was all halograms. I plan to compound with will pad then Menzerna 400 with Shurhold orbital & lake country orange pad. Do you recommend just Power Lock after that? Seems like I’ve seen you spray on products and wash them off after that but can’t find the video now. Thanks again!
So I'm actually switching from jescar power lock to Starke hyperhold! I have been testing it for a few month and its working better longer term than the jescar. You can top it with starke replenish si02 for even more protection. drakesmarinedetailsupply.com/collections/starke-surface-technology/products/starke-hyper-hold-polymer-sealant?_pos=1&_sid=1e28b61de&_ss=r drakesmarinedetailsupply.com/products/starke-replenish-silica-spray?_pos=1&_sid=88f02b007&_ss=r
Awesome videos! I just used Menzerna heavy cut on my boat. Do I need to wash it before I apply Power Lock? If yes, Dawn or a wash and wax? Thanks, keep them coming!
Hey brother can I use a microfiber pad with a heavy compound 3m to remove oxidation or do I really need a wool pad because i don't own a rotary polisher.
Hey, great videos! I recently purchased a sea Ray 360 Sundancer up in northern Chesapeake, md. What one machine would you recommend I buy for a DYI? Gel coat is in good shape so I would mainly just be applying polish and wax. Thanks
Hey Drake. awesome video. Do you seal the bottom of the hull of the boat, which is hard to get to with the boat on a trailer, or do you just seal as much of the bottom as you can reach?

I am having difficulty on reaching the hard top on my 27 ft Sailfish. Any suggestions on how to do the tops? Can I crawl on the top and wax? will those tops support 200 lbs? Thank you.
I use my boat only in freshwater and its kept covered out of the water when not in use (so bottom is not painted as there is no need). What is your opinion on using a polymer sealant or ceramic coat on the running surfaces of the boat? Do you recommend? If so, how often and with what product? Thanks for all your videos - very very helpful!!!
Let's say you just waxed the boat/bottom and you leave it in the water for a few days. The boat develops brown stains. Do you still use rust aid? Or something else that doesn't strip the wax?
I love that you explain on a base level. Stuff like "put 4 dots on the pad" and "start on 2 and then go to 4 when doing the pattern". That stuff really helps getting a grip on things for a newbie.

Great helpful video Drake's Detailing! would it hurt or enhance the protection by applying a wax after the Jescar Polymer Sealant?
Your channel is so super helpful and professional thank you so much!! 🤩
You're welcome! Thanks !
For start how many pads should i have for the flex? Planing to clean and wax my boat once a year. It is in the water only in the summer. 31ft express cruiser.
You’ll probably need about 4 pads per step
Thanks.
Hey! Yes the longer you wait the better. I’d say 30 minutes max
Beat video I've watched so far about boat waxing,I'm new to boat detailing and just curious what you charge for a job like that and that size
Did u apply a polish/wax before this sealant? Thx. Videos are great
No, in this case, this customer just wanted to wash and wax.
Proud of you bro, saw your decision to move to Cali! Wondering if purple power from the canon works similar to dawn?
It won’t sud like Dawn does
@@DrakesDetailing Thanks!
Great videos! Do you ever follow Jescar with an actual wax like Collinite 925? If so when? Thanks!
You can, I personally don’t. I usually follow up with an sio2 spray. Like nautical one Si02 rinse or starke replenish
Do you recommend using an oxidation remover prior to using the polymer sealant? TIA
Shine supply heavy cut and shine supply chop top: shinesupply.com/collections/marine-products
Hi Drake, can't get enough of these videos. Any idea if the Buff & Shine Uro Fiber pads are compatible with the Flex 3401 VRG? If not, is there an alternative pad for polishing, not cutting, that you would recommend?
Yes they are! They will work fine on the vrg
Would you use the poly sealant followed by a wax in freshwater, or just the poly ? Thanks
Sealant followed with sio2 coating.
Use starke replenish
@@DrakesDetailing Thanks sir, I'll let you know how it comes out.
I heat my shop and would be interested in what's the coolest temp. you would detail your boats ?
thanks for watching!! typically compounds and polishes stoping working when its below 45 out side.
Thanks man you video help me a lot for my business. Keep doing a great work you have one more follower.
Thanks for following!
We use a product in the states called rust aid. I don't know if you can get that in Canada though..
Is dawn dish soap all that is needed? Is using a clay bar beneficial for gel coat?
Dawn will take off any wax that may be on the boat, if you are wanting to clean the surface completely than just use dawn.
Clay only really comes in hand if you have over spray on a boat, but even then there are usually easier options... in 7 years Iv once used clay on a boat once and it didn’t do what I needed it todo ha
Great video. Thanks. What brand soap do you use to wash your boat after you have waxed the boat?
I like orpine wash and wax
Gotntonlove that drop of wax trick to mark where you stipped.
Boss skills
Why everyone in US always uses Dawn soap and not fairy dish soap?
I frow away my m f cloths after buffing wax as i cant find anything to wash that wax off them
I have never heard of that brand dish soap before, so I couldn’t really tell you hahah. Yeah I just wash my work cloths, I don’t try to stain remove because it’s pretty much inevitable. Work cloths are work cloths for a reason, ha! 😂
Rust Aid not at my Home Depot 😞 So I bought Zep Calcium, Lime and Rust Remover
It will work, ha! I run into that issue sometimes, so I’ll just buy a product that is similar and make it work!
After one boat I typically just pitch the wax pad, ha! They are probably the most inexpensive ones to buy 🙂
Can the JEscar be applied to a wake boat used only in freshwater? Would it be necessary to apply a wax or something similar after doing jescar process, or end with that?
Jescar is great for freshwater!
@@DrakesDetailing so would I need to apply wax after jesco too
I have used the the Power Lock with the recommended pad. It has no been about 6 months. Should I remove Power Lock with Dawn or just apply over the existing application?
Just reapply, so need to strip it off
Thanks for the info and tips. Actually looking forward to doing my boat.
That’s awesome 😎
I was washing my boat the other day and notice a spot where the detail vinyl was cracking and peeling back..i peeled off a small bit and discovered metal underneath,,,IF i remove all the pin detailing and there is metal underneath how do i fix that? do i apply a clear gelcoat?
Just watched your video. My boat is 4 years old and I’ve only compounded spots where the dock marked it up. Do I have to compound the hull first or can I just do what your doing in the video?
It depends, is the hull oxidized?
@@DrakesDetailing thanks for getting back. Its not oxidized just seemed a bit dull. Appreciate all the videos and have been sending them to various groups and friends!!
Awesome video. This will help me next go around with my 32' Sailfish maintenance.
Awesome! Same process just bigger
Great video. Just had my boat detailed. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing job. Should I wait a bit before using your technique? What pads are you using to apply the product?
Hey bro! Sorry to hear about your detail job! I was just using a buff-n-shine microfiber pad on a DA polisher
Thanks for the Tips buddy 👍 😁 I'm going to be Detailing a 40 Foot Mystic Cat with 450s soon, so Full Detail and Wax should be fun 🤙.
Nice! Have fun! Ha
Hey drake, Would there be anything wrong with using a fresh dry pad and then dry buffing it off rather than working out your shoulders?
In my opinion, it’s really not worth doing. It’s easier to just wipe the little residue that is leftover with your hand.
I'll be washing my 31' Tiara this winter in my heated building in Northern Ohio prior to applying the sealant you use. In a wash bucket, what ratio of Dawn to water would you recommend ?
Idk... I just squirt it in there pretty good.. Iv never measured it out sorry
Love your videos. Which buffer is the one you'd recommend. Link broken. THANKS.
Maxshine DA
Love this thanks! I saw someone recommend using a Sio2 spray after using the Power Lock +, what are your thoughts?
@@DrakesDetailing thanks man, I must have misunderstood something along the way. I’ll go with the 2500
Sweet video man. I just upgraded my champ boat and purchased a ranger bass boat. Thing looks brand new. Very well taken care of. Should i just follow these steps same way. Or should i try and strip whatever wax may have been on there then use your steps. Thanks.
I’d wash it with dawn, and start fresh!
Same steps as this video!
@@DrakesDetailing awesome appreciate it!

great videos.!! Question. What do you use on black rub rails to make them shine!!
If there's a good chance of rain in the afternoon, is it ok to apply Jescar Power Lock + in the morning or should I wait until there's more dry time to let the sealant cure for 24 hours?
you should fine 😎
i am in the process of repainting the hull with awlgrip, primer is done about to apply top coat can i or should i wax it after the top coat and if so do any of the steps or products change? also can i use a separate pad after i apply the wax instead of a rag
Hey bro! Yes, once’s it all said and done, I’d apply a coat of polymer sealant over it, such as the Jescar powerlock sealant shown in this video.
@@DrakesDetailing well 2 coats primer 3 coats top coat done. 1 coat of top coat to go
@@DrakesDetailing id show you a pic but don't know how to get it to you
I've been wondering what a good wash and wax would be that I could buy so I jumped to look up the Orpine.......but........it smells like pine. I don't want my boat to smell like pine. Any other suggestions?
Starke pure clean
Enjoy the videos. Just a boat owner that would like to take care of my boat and not waste time and money doing the wrong thing. So I have a question. After a day of saltwater fishing I have been rinsing my boat then spraying it down with Starbrite Deck Cleaner and letting it sit for several minutes. It really seems to loosen the bait that got smushed into the non-skid and the dried on blood and guts. It that cleaner one of those that will strip the wax off my boat? If so, what's your way of getting this job done?
Yes it will take your wax off, more heavy cleaners will.
Keeping your boat waxed or ceramic coated will stop things from sticking to it.
I love running lake country pad. Their grey foam pads are the best for cutting on a DA or a forced rotaionn

Awesome videos! I just used Menzerna heavy cut on my boat. Do I need to wash it before I apply Power Lock? If yes, Dawn or a wash and wax? Thanks, keep them coming!
Dawn is what you need before you wax. After you wax use a boat soap
Hey brother can I use a microfiber pad with a heavy compound 3m to remove oxidation or do I really need a wool pad because i don't own a rotary polisher.
Hey bro! You really need a wool pad and a rotary buffer and a wool pad for this job
Hey, great videos! I recently purchased a sea Ray 360 Sundancer up in northern Chesapeake, md. What one machine would you recommend I buy for a DYI? Gel coat is in good shape so I would mainly just be applying polish and wax. Thanks
Griots G9
Thanks for the reply. Any suggestions on cordless machines? Thanks again
Flex makes the best cordless, but they are expensive

M8S over G9? which do you like more & why?? Thanks! Great stuff!
Hi there! I personally like the M8S better! It’s got a little more power then the Griots.
Hey drake...what's the cure time for jescar and can I apply a adam's graphene spray sealant after it's cured ?
Thx you.
About 3 hours for sure.
Apply Jescar, let it sit for about 15 mins wipe it off. Wait about 3 hours before you do the Adam’s graphene sprays
@@DrakesDetailing thx dude
Hey Drake. awesome video. Do you seal the bottom of the hull of the boat, which is hard to get to with the boat on a trailer, or do you just seal as much of the bottom as you can reach?
Hey man! Not on this particular job, but some customers do want that done!
@@DrakesDetailing How do you get to the bottom of the hull to seal it if its on a trailer?
??
question, will this remove the yellow stains from the hull like the blue FSR?? if it does it would be worth trying.

Thanks, ha!
Do you recommend using Collinite Wax 845 after polishing with Jescar?
Just Say "Drake Kool" thanks for the help Cobalt turned out great
💯💯💯
Love you video bro your a great teacher!!!
I appreciate that!
I use Roll Off for spider washes during the season. Will that strip off this sealant or is it ok to use?
It will take it off, roll off will remove most of not all waxed and sealants, can ever take off ceramic coatings. It’s pretty strong stuff
My boat is in indoor heated storage for the winter. Can I leave the Jescar on overnight and come back the next day to take it off?
I have never done that before, I don't think you'll have an issue. As long as it doesn't get wet at all or exposed to moisture
Under the water line in fresh water you'll get a solid year out of ceramic, thats personally what I would use
Can I just use the Flex 3401 to apply the Jescar (or any wax) or is it better to use the Griot's G9 ?
Yes the flex will work fine! The flex can be a work out to handle it, that’s why I like using the DA it’s easier. But you can use the flex just fine!
Let's say you just waxed the boat/bottom and you leave it in the water for a few days. The boat develops brown stains. Do you still use rust aid? Or something else that doesn't strip the wax?
Excellent video.
