I bought the Darkhose omnibus on a whim, and it ended up being one of my top 10 manga ever. Brilliant story with really well written characters and beautiful art. Deserves a spot in anyone's collection!

thanks for review, I really like the look and energy of this manga for some reason. Just started collecting manga, I love how much different feelings it can give you. Last night I read some of uzumaki, and I felt slightly paranoid lol. But compared to my experience with reading vinland saga, its such an awesome contrast. Thanks for you reviews, they are really good.

I’ve seen the omnibus for sale everywhere but I collecting the singles. Can’t seem to find vol 3 and 4.1. I hope to get these soon! Awesome video though! Can’t wait for the next one!

Maybe you could do Clover by Clamp for one of the next videos in this series. I believe it has three different editions… The singles, the paper back 4-in-1, and the 4-in-1 hardcover.
I haven't gotten into a lot of CLAMP's works yet, but have plans to do so soon! Chobits is one that has been requested as well and I'll add this one to the list! I wasn't aware of the 4-in-1 paperback, so thank you for letting me know!

Not 100% sure about it BUT if it is what most probably seems to be, which is the plural of the word "planet" in greek ΠΛΑΝΗΤΗΣ plural ΠΛΑΝΗΤΕΣ, then it is called "Planites", where "i" sounds like "i" in the name Billy and "e" sounds like the "a" in the word "baby" or "e" in the word "jelly". The accent goes in the "i"...
So if I am not mistaken you should not say "planA..." where "A" sounds like "bAby" but "planI..." where "I" sounds like the "I" in the word "JIm" and the "planItEs" the "E" should sound like the "E" in "jElly"... The accent goes in the "I".
I hope that I did not confuse you, I honestly tried to help and clarify...

At this juncture of my life I can only deal with hard sci fi and it must be dystopian with bleak outcomes the Aliens and Predator franchises fit this bill perfectly and I’m the biggest Wayland- Yutani freak of them all. Junji Itos nihilistic funny but dark view of humanity is the best - BUT - he’s considered “horror “ I believe Japanese Manga may need some infusion of French / European Moebius type bleakness. AOT I know everyone loves but that’s more fantasy realm to me. I’ve heard about BLAME but I don’t have a good feeling and the first volume didn’t grab me enough to read it even though I bought volume one years ago.

There’s not a huge amount of space manga, but I’m actually reading a space manga at the moment called Edens Zero, I’m only 4 volumes in but I’m loving it so far. It’s from the same creator as Fairy Tail.

I bought the Darkhorse Omnibus years ago and I thought it was the best version of the Planetes story by presentation in print.
I saw that there are different versions of Battle Angel Alita. Would love to see a comparison of the different versions, because I'd like to start reading it.

I see that there are versions in italian, french and german that contain the whole story in one hardcover, I wonder why such a complete edition was not created in english though

At the moment Berserk doesn’t have an ending, but if it doesn’t get a proper endings then I’m happy with where it’s left off, with Guts, Casca & Griffith all standing staring at each other.
The correct greek pronunciation is Plan-ee-tes. Tone/accent on the double "e"

Im not a fan of omnibus. I feel the single issues add a little bit of collectibility to manga. I make sure to at least buy vol 1 of any anime i liked if there is also a manga, even the older manga’s preferably the first print run. Who knows maybe one day it will help pay for the collection.

hi i am eleven years old but im allowed to reads seinen manga but in my opinion dorohedoro and dai dark by q hayashida is my number one manga both of them are really good but to be for real i have all 23 vol of dorohedoro and 3 vol of dai dark but the series are on my good top 5 shelf but both have amazing art and interesting story to get into but can you shout me out it mean so much since i subscribed ever since this channel got started number 1 youtube channel
