WOW never realised how good ultrawide looked in games, this game especially with it's vast landscapes on a planet like this and lighting blasting out towards the player
Going ultrawide was easily the best upgrade that I did, ever. It provides a much more immersive gaming experience than a standard 16:9 display.
Ultrawide is awesome, can't recommend enough.
@@yezivid you cant go back after upgrading to ultrawide. I am playing since 2020 on ultrawide and there is no way I play on 16:9 ever again.
Ultrawide is just to good.
Im getting around 100fps on 3440x1440p ultra wide, ultra settings on a intel 14900kf/4080
OP put this command in steam launch settings of the game "--use-d3d11" and see fps then, this forces game to work in dx11 and you could have more fps
I’m playing on 3440x1440 with the same cpu and gpu as you. Getting around 80-90 fps. But that’s probably because of the 3440x1440 ultrawide
I play at 2560x1440p, with the same hardware as you. During gameplay though it seems my GPU and CPU usage are similar and I can’t figure out why, I feel as though I should get better frames. Like for example 78% GPU usage and 68% CPU usage (pulled that out of my head but something along those lines)
Weird, could you possibly be CPU limited at 1440p? My GPU usage is around ~95-99%, and the lowest FPS I've seen was around 80 tho I'm not really paying attention to the overlay when I'm in intense fights.
I'll do another benchmark run at other resolutions/maps, so far it looks like the missions against the machines are more resource-heavy.
Almost definitely cpu limited. The game does use a lot of cores well, but will still be limited by the most heavily loaded threads. So even if your overall cpu is usage is 68%, 1,2,3, or 4 cores may be hitting 90/100% limiting the overall frame rate.
turn off framerate limit in game and just leave vsync on. Whenever I have a frame limit in this game my cpu usage goes through the roof and my cpu temp goes from mids 60s to high 70s.
I have lower framerate on 7900x3d + 4080 (2k res)
sometimes dropped to 50-60
Same here 5600x + 4080
I get about 60-70fps with a 3070FE, 12700k setup at 1440p ultra settings. 🤔 Really surprised the 4080S can't run this over 120-140fps.
At 1440p Ultra, I'm getting around 130-140FPS.
Also, I just realized that now they added a toggle for Async Compute. Now that with this turned off, the game runs even better, going from 90-100FPS to 100-110FPS at Ultrawide 1440p.
@@yezivid what is that new technology?
to be honest i think medium graphics and ultra graphics have very little difference in looks
I completely disagree. Everything is blurry when you downgrade.
damn here i am with a 4080 ventus and im dropping down to 50 fps .... i think might have to do with my i9 9900k
oof yeah its time to retire that, it fought a good fight but its time.
You are definitely CPU/Memory bound, lowest frame rate I've seen was around ~85.
If you have a decent memory kit, manually tuning it could get you a nice boost in FPS, tho it needs some time and patience to find the best/stable settings.
Also, If you have a decent cooler, you should try to get your CPU to an all-core 5.0-5.1GHz.
Thanks for the feedback makes my mind ease a bot
@@kenman154 Just a frame for refrence I was playing on a 5600x +3080 and even on all low settings and performance (instead of native) I was getting at best 45-60 fps on the robot levels when they were spawning in a lot. A few days ago I upgrade my CPU to 7800x3D + 3080, now im getting 110-140fps on ultra and native.
@TheCrazedEB what motherboard did u go with bro
look a game dont need to have path tracing killing your fps to hae good lighting...
I meeean, path tracing is a bit more than just “good looking lighting”. It’s expensive now, but eventually it will probably be a mainstream tech.
But sure, don’t get me wrong, Helldivers 2s lighting looks pretty impressive even without RT/PT, tho it lacks a bit in other graphical standpoints.
