It happend again. I was so sure I did not need them. Now, seeing it in action ... it feels like I have watched an ink revolution.
Thanks so much for sharing! I have a bad day today, the excitement in your voice made me forgot about it for 34:06 minutes.

Jennifer, thank you so much for doing this video!! I know it takes a lot of time creating all of the cards and editing the video. Just want you to know it is very much appreciated!! I LOVE ALL of the backgrounds you created!!! All of your cards are stunning. I can't wait to get these inks and the reinkers. So many ideas floating around in my head lol. Can't wait to try out some techniques with the reinkers too. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos with these inks! TFS!! :)

What I really like is that Tim is helping the next generation, Simon Hurley, the ropes. Tim is the king of inks. Simon is working very hard to develop his line of inks. I’ve been buying a lot of simons inks to support him. He’s a very loyal influencer for me and I just love who that young man is becoming. He’s a good human being. He’s helping me become a member of the group of women who have known each other for years and support each other. Someone gave him a break and hasn’t forgotten to pay it forward. It’s very tough to break into the business and be accepted.

I was with everyone else on the fence about these but Bam! You've picked the right colours, the right techniques, you create the things we love and they are Lila approved! I'm going to have to get some! Thanks for the fabulous video!

I think this is my favorite Jennifer McGuire video EVER! I was introduced to a new product that I am now going to play with (the Distress Oxide Inks), but I was SO inspired by your MANY MANY different card techniques! I never thought of using scraps to make a woven piece as one of your cards does. Or to save the "good parts" of a failed experiment to die cut smaller pieces (the balloons). And the new stamp companies that I wasn't aware of. I never was interested in using window dies before (like the balloons). And best of all, the card with the negative die cuts ("Hello") really gave me a new way to highlight great background techniques without just using them as...well...BACKGROUNDS! Way to go Jennifer! You may have reignited my craft mojo in the dead of summer when it's more than 100 degrees in the southwest and I was planning on just hibernating until the cooler fall weather comes, as I generally do. Now I can't wait to dig into my craft supplies and see what I can create!
Because your videos are always so excellent, I frequently take them for granted and don't comment and thank you. That is bad on me. But I am reminded today of what happiness and motivation can come in life when we are excited about the things that we love to do. You keep that level of joy flowing strong with your examples, inspiration, excellent teaching, and beautiful techniques! Thank you thank you! Please keep doing what you do!

Jennifer I just came across your video about Oxide Inks. I had every distress color ink pad some years ago and seriously got rid of them all. I just couldn’t seem to stop making mud! When I came across a video of these with Tim I thought HMMMMM. I have some in a cart as we speak and haven’t purchased them yet. I’m not a card maker, I like more of mixed media, altered art, scrapbooking. Your video has sold me! I believe I may be making cards and using these for journaling. Thank you so much! I love the techniques you taught here especially using the acrylic block. I will be coming back to reference this video soon!

I don't think these Oxide Inks are really for me, but I still loved watching the video. You obviously had a lot of fun and your excitement really came through to us. The "confetti" and rainbow blended cards were my favourite! The inks do look like they blend beautifully. Thanks for sharing some of your passion with us!

Oh Jennifer, I've watched Tim's video on Distress Oxides and he's not nearly as excited about his inks as you are! Yes, it's apparent he likes them a lot, but you are so much more exuberant about them. Please know that you are so very appreciated by all of us crafters!!! God Bless...

Yesterday I was sad because I had returned from an all day visit to the hospital for a bone scan. The infection that almost killed me twice last year is back. I quickly found a little joy when I picked up the mail and my Distress Oxide Inks finally came. I had been on a waiting list for a month. I also received a new stamp set from a subscription. It's strange what can bring you from absolute sadness to a feeling of tremendous joy. I hope God was telling me that I was going to be well enough to use my new inks and stamps. I don't know why I felt the need to tell you, but I just did. I also learned to transfer my Iphone pictures to my laptop. It doesn't take a lot to make me happy. Thanks for all you'e taught me!!! Not only do I love blending with them but they come in such a wide variety of colors....something for everyone. These creamy new inks are absolutely yummy and I MUST have them!! Me too. I just bought a heap of distress mini pads. I haven't found them in any Australian craft supplier. I guess I'll have to get them from the US. It's the postage costs that get me.

You could try craftonline.com.au or annascraftcupboard.com.au or scrapbooksuppliesonline.com.au or scrapbookboutique.com.au or scrapdragon.com.au or papertrenz.com.au I have purchased from all of these before and they get a great supply in regularly :)

I've tried craftline.com. I buy a lot of things from them, but no distress oxide as yet. I've uaed a couple of sites you mentioned, but haven't checked if they carry the oxide inks. I'll have to check out the others. Thanks for the reminder on the other online suppliers. I have taken to using craft online as they have a huge range and they're pretty quick to get your order out.

    • @AuntieTriza
      @AuntieTriza 8 років тому +4

You're welcome :) I'm sure some of them will have the distress oxides in eventually. Most Aussie places get their supplies a few weeks or so after the US ones. I have taken to buying from franticstamper.com, and scrapbook.com who have recently reviewed their postage rates and are now somewhat reasonable. Simonsaysstamp.com have a flat $50 postage fee if you spend $250 or more too, I just keep adding stuff to my cart and when it reaches that amount I checkout :)

My husband & I were just at Stampfest last Saturday inNew Port Rickey, Florida and we saw this being demonstrated at the Tim Holtz booth. It's really neat and I thought at the time it would be fun to play with it but I think you do need a variety of colors to be able to create the beautiful backgrounds. Your demo was very informative and it was especially neat for me as I had just seen it done. And your right it gives the paper a cool suede look and feel!

OMG. I haven't been cardmaking for very long, and I definitely struggle with blending backgrounds, even when using a brayer. I live in Australia and it was lucky I had just noticed Distress Oxides on an Australian online craft store. I watched your first video on them and I was hooked.
The Distress Oxides are the best thing ever! I only bought them from watching your first video on them. WOW totally brilliant, I am so happy I bought them alll as they are consistently out of stock now! Still have to perfect some techniques, but practice makes perfect. I also had some failures, but you have shown that even failures can be used for die cuts or strips which is a great idea. Thanks heaps for that tip. These inks will pretty much replace using a brayer for me I think. I have touble with brayers, spending ages trying to get the transition to the next colour being seamless. I have just made a beautiful background, the transition is brilliant, and it took minutes!
    AMAZING!
These oxide ink pads are the best thing since....forever! Great video too Jennifer Mcguire, I cannot wait for you to show us more techniques using Oxides!
You are so talented, if I could be as talented as you I would be over the moon!!!!!

Jennifer, I have been waiting for your review on the Oxide Inks because I knew I needed more info before investing. This was an incredible video Jennifer, not only packed with information, but stunning cards and hearing your excitement about these inks, you once again sparked the kid in me to want to just let go and have fun. At my age, that's not an easy thing to do LOL! Thank you so much for providing an endless amount of inspiration! Gentle hugz, Nancy

The Distress Oxide inks look awesome to use. Have struggled some with the "old" inks. Thanks for the tutorial.

I do a lot of ink blending and sometimes the harsh line are disappointing. I love how the oxide inks blend. These inks look very versatile.

I so want these inks now I've seen what you have created. I'm not good at blending but when I see what you did I realize that I could become (look like) a pro. I have to save a bit so I can buy the set. Thanks so much for sharing your talent.

I think these will be the answer for me when it comes to blending. I had given up on that technique......I have such a heavy hand that I always ended up with hard rings. Thank you for demoing them.
