After watching your gelli plate ideas this was the finishing touch for the extra pieces for banner cards. I love the idea and will be using it. I also like that you keep it plain and simple to enhance the work of art you have created with the distress oxides inks. Bravo! Thank you very much. you make my crafting work amazing.
I LOVE the way card makers all support each other! Cathy Zielski is always saying how she learned so much from you, so it was great to see you copying one of her ideas! But it seems we ALL can learn from each other! It’s great hearing so many acknowledging what they’ve learned from each other.
Hi Jennifer, these cards are crazy beautiful! The blending, embossing, wiping, spritzing and layouts couldn't look nicer. My daughter and I started opening the 16 oxide inks I purchased to swatch the colors, and found the first 5 were completely dry so we stopped and returned them to the store. I'm pretty bummed, but used the money to buy some mini Catherine Pooler inks. I'm hoping I'll be able to learn blending with them and use my glitter pen like yours to add some shine. This video demonstrates everything I hope to use in my card making. Many thanks for your thorough explanations. You really are an amazing teacher!🌷🌷
Totally agree on the iron. Mom taught me early to dislike ironing. Just take the clothes out of the dryer at the end of the cycle. My father gave my mother and iron for their first wedding anniversary in 1956. She threw it at his head. She missed thankfully, but he never gave her an appliance again for their anniversary for the next 56 years.
I needed this video so much today. I just realized that i have only 7 days to make a card and 4 pieces of art for one of my many nephews. They are having their first baby. So exciting! I just ordered a stencil, I'm praying that it comes in time. Lol. I haven't made any art lately, but i work well under pressure. LOL i hope. I'm going to be using rusty hinge and black and white. They have a darling nursery, Its so different from most nurseries. I really love it. My friends and family are shocked that i'm going to work with orange. THanks for all of your fabulous tips. hugs, treen
They are beautiful. I just got the gift of time to make some cards... I didn't break it... but I did drop a oak table on my foot. Hahaha... typical me. Now I can mess around with my new dies while the swelling comes down.
What beautiful Distress inks and Oxide color....you did a great job blending the colors and your cards turned out lovely. Thanks Jennifer for a great video and techniques.
Fabulous love what you have done I am excited to try your techniques. So beautiful and your instructions are great. Thank you so much for showing us how Jennifer. Please keep your ideas coming. Kathy Sydney Australia.
cathy and i have been friends for YEARS. we started in the scrapbooking industry together. for yeas, i begged her to try cardmaking and videos and she finally did. and i am SO glad. She is a good human and now more people get to enjoy her! I love her so. :)
Hi Jennifer! Thanks for the simple techniques with a background stamp. Also, I always benefit from your very complete description box. Many thanks for investing the time to do it video after video!👍🏼🦋🙏.
Thankyou so much for this video. I’m returning back to card making and I’m so excited to try something new. I was traditionally a copic user but these inks have got me so excited. Thankyou! Xx
Okay, you are the best for the shoutout. Also? I NEVER knew about the technique of painting over the blend with water. I am still learning new stuff from you EVERY SINGLE TIME! Love it and you. I'm going to try this technique!
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who only uses my iron in the craft room! 🤣 Wonderful cards, & beautiful color combos. I’m so excited for this new color. Thank you for sharing such great ideas.
Lovely cards. I really like both distress ink & oxides. Haven't used this colour much though. I am inspired to get it out & give it a try. Thanks for your videos, they are so informative 💕
I love the cards. I was amused to hear you credit Cathy Zieske for the idea of cutting your background into strips - in the video you referenced (and showed the cards) she said she was channeling you!
These are lovely! The color combos are warm and inviting....since I love coral, the Crackling Campfire will be a good color for me. TFSharing, Jennifer, your hints are helpful to us! You, Cathy Z, and Laura B are card-making gurus! 💌
Thank you so much for sharing our Slimline Scalloped Frame dies. Your cards are absolutely gorgeous! Loving that new campfire ink even more than I thought I would.
Jennifer, Thank you so much. Especially for showing where the new color fits into the existing line. On every other video I've seen the new color just looks orange and your comparison on camera AND verbal description were really helpful. You're a champ!
Love your cards always! Outside of my black ink, Tim Holtz distress ink pads was my FIRST EVER colored ink purchase 😅💕 they are the only colored inks I have right now so I love it when your videos focus on those products so I can learn more ways to use them 😊 I'm still building my card making craft stash as it's taking me some time! I have fallen in love with this hobby - & I create EVERYDAY!!! I am getting better one card at a time because of YOU Jennifer Thank you! 💜
Distress inks were the first colors I bought also, and I have never regretted my choice. They are wonderful to work with and the additional colors always keep the color palette up to date.
So simple but really amazing affect. Your imagination is amazing - where would us crafters be without all your awesome ideas. Thank You for all your hard work over the years xxx
Love how the new color fades to yellow. Never tried the water pen technique. I will give it a go and see if mine looks something like yours 😀 Love your color combos today!
Hello! I hope you enjoyed today's video. If you are interested in a visual supply list, head to: ldli.co/e/gd3je7 Also, you can try this technique with normal dye inks. It works with some, but is best with Distress. Finally, I know blending brushes aren't recommended for pigment inks or inks with pigment properties. However, I haven't had a problem with it. :)
They way the new color fades out to yellow is just beautiful. I thought for sure you had blended multiple colors when you first showed the card at the beginning!
They are all so gorgeous! Thank you so much for continuing to show us these techniques! I really look forward to your videos, they are always a day brightener!
Love the new color, can hardly wait for mine to arrive. Thank you for all the great information you include in your tutorials. The small details make a big difference in card making. Your teaching improved my card making and let me explore so many techniques
I absolutely LOVE these cards and especially the colors that you chose. I originally thought that the new Crackling Campfire color was so-so, but now, I’m excited to try it myself. Personally, I’m hoping for a true, deep navy color and a darker version of Peacock Feathers.
Love ❤️ the cards you made. My 17 year old daughter is trying to figure out how we do the ink resist with the embossed background so I am having to show and teach her.
Love this. Think I will color the background stamp with distress inks like make the leaves green and flowers different color then lighten the color oh boy
beautiful patterns and colors. Just very beautiful color and oxidation. A rich effect with many colors and values. pat.
