I really hope that that little boy who was with the fishermen and thought the suitcase was treasure is okay... it breaks my heart he had to experience something so traumatic like that and he was so innocent thinking they found treasure and to open it and find a dismembered body is just so heartbreaking and I cannot begin to imagine the pain his parents must have felt for him and what he experienced when he opened that bag... that poor boys innocence was lost that day 😢I hope he is doing okay and that his family got him some counseling after that event...

I don't really like how this argument is worded. What is a red flag is how QUICKLY she gave away his belongings, in a SIMILAR bag to what the body was found in.
I donate and give way clothing using trash bags all the time, as far as I'm concerned of that isn't unusual. What is unusual to me is how quickly things were given away, and the possibility of the trash bags being similar.
That's why I say the wording of your argument is what I didn't like, I obviously agree with the overall statement I'm just being picky with my words because I don't believe the state proved beyond a reasonable doubt.
A way to prove that to me is verifying that there are no other possible suspects. The wife having an affair is, by all accounts, the more obvious suspect. Yet I didn't hear much evidence from the state on why they didn't believe the run away gambling addict story. Like I didn't hear anything about police checking the casinos in the area to verify that he was never there, lack of bank statement for the area at said point in time (yeah the argument can be made he paid in cash); like this is the tip of my question iceberg.
Do I think she did it? I think OJ did the crime he was acquitted of, yes I think she did it.
Do I think the state proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt? No, I'm still left with questions. Even in cases where there is no body, there is better circumstantial evidence than this case. I don't think enough was done.

She absolutely did it! How does she explain the forged prescription? Her driving to another state to buy furniture shows me that she was making the need to replace the furniture (namely the green couch) was just an attempt to complicate any potential investigation after the crime. Her dropping off her husband’s car as a prank is such a crock! And how convenient that the husband was murdered immediately after the closing on the new house that he never wanted in the first place. The ‘grieving’ widow would then have a nice home to live in with her lover, assuming she could figure out some way to get him to leave his wife, which I’m sure she felt confident she could do. The fact that the murder weapon was never located means pretty much nothing. Oceans and rivers are mighty big places to conduct a search for something as small as a gun in.
That woman can stick to her BS story for the rest of her life, but that doesn’t make it true. Besides, how would it benefit her to tell the truth? Certainly not to ease her conscience, as psychopaths don’t possess one. She wanted to be with that doctor so badly, she probably enjoyed plotting out her husband’s demise.

She was my nurse at RMA. She was actually amazing. She was the one who called to tell me I was going to be a momma for the first time, after years of struggle. I remember packing my house as we were moving across country back to Oregon and seeing her face on the front of the newspaper and almost falling over from shock. I believe she did it, but I don’t believe she worked alone (though I don’t think it was Dr Miller) I find it suspect that she had her parents pick up her kids and had them stay the night the day after he “walked out” on them. Gave her plenty of time to take care of the body and drive down the Virginia Beach and back. It’s just all crazy.

She may have already made up her mind that her husband would go forever, when she had an affair at 38 weeks with the doctor. She was biding time, perfecting her plans to murder her husband and then go back to her doctor lover post Morten. Yep, don’t underestimate her strength because she’s not large. I had seen many nurses who were less than 5 feet tall and small framed, who could turn morbidly obese patients to their sides alone or with help from similar tiny women with EASE. She was using electric saw, that would make such tasks easier in partitioning her husband’s body parts. She probably thought she had committed the perfect murder, but the “human dusts” served as her husband’s angel dusts, sprinkling them back to her. She didn’t hear of this phenomenon until the dusts helped to convict her.

This is difficult because I can see both sides. I'll start with how I perceive the cold attitude. I was in a DV relationship and he threatened stuff all the time and had certain patterns of behavior that I just got the point of rolling my eyes when he had his temper tantrum. It also sounds like they were also living different lives, so she had probably already "moved on" to a certain extent. It's hard for people to understand just how much it wears you down when it's a bad relationship.
I wish I could remember the names, but there was a case many years ago about a husband and wife that kind of had a similar situation to this. They wanted to stay married and live in the same home because they had two small children. They were both dating. Anyway, the wife went out on a date and it was actually with a serial killer. They had the body though and the evidence that went along with that to know that the husband had nothing to do with it.
As for the funeral, again, if you haven't been around people that are just awful to you, you have no point of reference. My grandmother drove a wedge between everyone. When she finally passed away my aunts did a similar f you kind of funeral. They asked everyone to send donation to the Alzheimer's foundation instead of flowers. That's what her husband died of and I know for a fact if she had seen that, furious wouldn't even begin to describe how angry she would have been. No one bothered with the online funeral registry and the people at the funeral home tried to get something started. They didn't understand she drove everyone away and no one had anything nice to say.
All that being said, I've seen cases that looked totally like someone was r4esponsible and even spent time in prison to find out 20 years later that had zero to do with it. I know what things look like but at the same time this evidence was circumstantial. I'm also surprised they convicted her. They did say things were left out that could have made a difference.
I guess the last case I remember that was extremely messed up, was a DV case. She did in fact kill her husband. The thing is he assaulted her so bad she had to have a colostomy bag at like 24. He did everything to disfigure her and make it so no one else wanted her. They refused to allow those facts in court because the judge said it would sway the jury too much in her favor. I wish I could remember the names. What I remembered was the fact the abusers always seem to get the benefit of the doubt. This is why we don't bother reporting things. No one cares until we are dead.

I hate behavior analysts. People react differently to things based on how they grew up how they internalise and process things and just culture in general. People can’t just say how someone should be have in a situation. I have no idea if she’s guilty or not but I had a friend who’s husband had died when they were going through temporary separation and she found out that he was having an affair with her coworker even before the separation and she ended up with so many conflicted feelings but for her it was important to be cool calm and collect during the funeral and she avoided the after funeral gathering because she didn’t want to be the subject of gossip and be there for people to watch and wait for her approached his mistress. Many couldn’t understand her not showing up with his kids but for her that was her way of dealing with it.

Aphrodisiac? Lol. I read all the books and yes it happens for many women. My wife had zero interest in intimacy during any of her pregnancy. I actually found this to be as big disappointment. As for This lady, I think she was planning this way before she even got pregnant. Dr. Brad was a perfect patsy. All her phone calls were completely odd and not at all like normal conversations. Her comments were blunt, short and meant to hide anything going on. Dr. Brads entire conversation with her seemed to be full of key words to indicate he was wired. This is just my opinion of course, but what woman talks to her lover like that. Now her Dad was just too obvious in his stupid attempts to hide her involvement. Very child like comments, " if you know what I mean"

But, I just will never understand why when women are threatened by their significant other, that their famous words are always "I didn't really believe him/think he was serious/would really hurt me". Where there is a will there is a way. Look at Taylor Shabusiness ( or however you spell her name). Recently cut up her boyfriend and chopped him up downstairs at his house while his mom was home. And brought his body parts with her and left his head in a bucket. I think if someone is determined enough, they can do it.

The Prosecution 1000% got it right. She has provided no information on how someone else would have gotten blankets and suitcases from her house for the murder 😅 You can't tell me someone from Atlantic City just had easy access to his home to get all of that without running in to Melanie. Like Nancy Grace said, she should have just posted a Billboard that said "I killed my husband" lmao

    • @ashleyparker1481

If he left the house with plans to stay gone he would have never grabbed suitcases... The blanket could be questionable... But we leave blankets in our vehicles especially if it's cold because if you breakdown you can stay warm until help comes. Black trash bags can come from anywhere... While I agree there is evidence that suggests she could have been a part, it's supposed to be convinced beyond a reasonable doubt. I can't say that I was. I could not put someone away for life if I didn't know for a fact they did it. Especially a mother with 2 young children. Because the questions of "what if" would eat at me. I feel like while not letting go that she was a possibility they should have looked at loan sharks and bookie's, You never know the things they will do if you don't start paying up like you are supposed to. How easy would it be to frame her. Use their suitcases he packed because he was leaving and a blanket he brought with him.
