This is the way most people cook red beans..but I prefer it cooked with minimum seasonings so you get the pure taste of the beans. I soak it overnight and boil it with pumpkin onion and garlic until soft. Then I add salt black pepper thyme mixed seasoning and salt. Lastly I add some butter to finish it off and add a creaminess.
Red beans looked delicious. Different from the way we cook them in New Orleans. And yes you got to have bread with red beans. Fried chicken with red beans and rice. Now that’s a meal.

You might have learned it from Trini indians........this is simple Rajma curry (in india and global).......rajma=kidney beans. This is more like British kidney bean curry 😂(pre cooked canned beans)
