Yeah, I don't think the Banshee is active anymore. There's a T-135 though right down the street from it in Elk Grove Village. There aren't too many Banshees active.
to anyone who says that the Cyclone is not made any more, i checked the ASC website, and if you look under the Mechanical Sirens list, the Cyclone is still listed
@@jgpa149 yeah, doesn't mean it's still in production. I mean it technically is, but they don't just take out perfectly good sirens for it being not made anymore...
Because it's not able to have battery back up due to the 50hp motor and cities mainly look for battery backup in new sirens. So no battery backup means it will not sell very well.
Many siren/alert manufacturers are pushing more to solid-state units because of their low maintenance benefits... When something goes, you just replace a modular assembly, such as a speaker, or the circuit board with all the sound/delay functions on it with a fresh one, as opposed to motors, choppers, etc... Although they sound nothing like a mechanical unit, some local governments like the money-saving aspect of solid-state...
@@Elizabeth-ts4om no, that siren is actually extremely powerful and was blowing the trees. You can see the trees stop flapping around when the first activation ends.

thats a very rare paint sceme as ACA went with mostly CD yellow or grey. sky blue was rarely used.

If you look at the edge of the housing while the siren is at full speed you can see the sound distorting the air.
That's not just the air that's the thin fiberglass rim warping from the vibrations! some. Because other videos show it closer!

Hey its me!
My favorite siren
Sioux City is the first month of monday 12:01
Cyclones are still being made for parts only right??
Yes.
Ok... Wish they still made them in general there great sirens!!! Hereford tx beats any siren system out there as I know of :)

What do you mean by their being made for parts only? Like they sell individual parts but not the whole sandwich?
@@flyoversirens3704 They wont build you a full-on siren because ASC is too lazy to work on ACA models

They should make a single phase Cyclone so it can be battery backup
WolfDogFilms i dotn think that would work becuase of its big 50hp motor that draws lots of power, it could drain the battries near instantly
