With the T-128 pointing away, it brought back memories of hearing siren tests in Sedalia, MO. The two closest sirens to my house were a SD-10 and a 2T22, the harmony between the 9/12 and 10/12 is just how I remember it.
On the pole to the right is an ASC T-128 tornado siren, and on the tower to the left is a 2T22 tornado siren, retrofitted with skirts instead of horns. The 2T22 is no longer there and I believe it was scrapped.
@MrSciencetificsasuke The skirted 2T22 doesn't sound. You're hearing a different 2T22 about three to five blocks south of where I was. You're also hearing an ACA Screamer.
In between the round parts of the horn, there are little triangular shaped holes that air can flow in to. I think there is also a small hole in the center but I'm not for sure on that one. They are hard to see unless you look at a good closeup picture of one.
here is what ya say: hi my name is ___ i am a siren enthusiest (that is my 3rd attempt at that damn word so leave it lol) and I understand you have a sterling siren and a skirted 2t22 siren. if there were plans on disposing them would you consider donating them to me? i collect things of this manner and i use the for display purposes. thanks for considering *your name.
okay so i had to get off my phone and i couldn't give you a full answer but yes it does work for me the only problem i have is that a lot of times either the city, the emergency department or the company that poses the danger owns them and i end up calling the opposite one... lol (the company that poses the danger would be like a nuclear power plant. so using those methods i found a couple of nice people in a city with abandon sirens who told me the location of them all and told me who to call.)
Listen to the melody that screamer and T-128 make. music to your ears I bet. poor skirted 2T22
Love the harmony and melody of the two sirens 🎶

The 2t22 at first looked like both a super banshee and a sound master 115
I like how the Screamer can be heard through the 128!
That Tempest 128 makes a lovely sound!
Finally, a T128 that sounds the pitch that it should.
That's the first time I've seen a 2T22 with skirts instead of horns. Too bad it wasn't functional.
ahhhhhhhhh the sound of a t-128 and screamer ^_^
Very nice! sounds like they have some pretty good coverage too. Sounds like the T-128 dropped in pich a little through the video.
Just stop by in person one day and ask them what they are going to do with the old sirens. It's better to talk to them in person than on the phone.

wow, that 2T22 looks odd, that ambiance sounds so awesome. hope your able to nab that 2T22 as well as the Sterling
That t128 sounds awesome with the 9/12 port old sirens.
Damn, that dual-toned Screamer sounds more like a Cyclone!

BEAUTIFUL SOUNDS!!!
I've never seen a 2T22 with skirts. Was that a factory option or were they locally-made?
The T-128 has a lot more coverage. It is louder and has a more focused sound so it projects farther.
That is a beautiful chord
Nice job Dillon i could hear the sterling m siren in the backround
Nice ambience. Makes an interesting sound.
@popchat3 It is inactive. I didn't hear it today and I didn't hear it last time when I tried to record it.
@TboltHurricane Screamer. I added annotations to show where the sirens were in relation to where I was, probably right after you posted that comment.
@Audinos I think it fell over or something, so the town replaced the horns with skirts and put it on a hefty tower. That's just my guess.
Nice video! Is it just me, or does the 128's rotation speed up after the wind down starts?
The description has all of the info in it.
Gorgeous
whos idea was it to take the cones off of a 2T22 and replace them with skirts?
what is that next to the siren on the stand
@Blue10AEMia I tried to go by in person the first time I went to ask if they tested on Saturdays, but no one was there and the door was locked.
what does the skirted 2t22 sound like?.
very good recording:)
@dillonrockband - You think That 2T22 would sound different at all if it was active?
i wish i lived in okarche, ok the town i live in has a bunch of 2001s and 1 noon ( goes off at noon ) 8 port (aca) screamer
Everyone PLEASE read the description before asking me a bunch of questions. Thanks.
Where is the intake located on a T 128?
Why is there a cross on the 2t22 pole?
I actually didn't even notice until you pointed it out. I'm not sure.
Old Christmas decoration maybe?
What are the atherosclerosis sirens sounding in the background. Sounds like p50's
what does the skirted 3t22 sound like? Is it same port as the other 3t22s?
hey Dillon. I was going through Okarche OK yesterday Jan 30 and noticed both the 2t22 and screamer was not working. just thought I would let you know.
That's my birthday! Just wanted to say.
What do they need 2 for?!
Cool, that won't work for me coz i'm in England and there's about 15 sirens in total around the country and aren't likely to be replaced.
Ins next to The asc (The yellow) a siren?
@twotailedavenger its not the 2t22 sounding its the t128 and you hear the other sirens in the mix
Aaaaaaaaoooooooooouuuuuuuuaaaaaaahhhhhhhhooooooooooouuuuuuaaaaaaauuuuuuuu! Lol
The 508 has the same sound output as the t-128
Nice 2T22 in the back. What other sirens Do I hear?
What is t other siren in the ambience not the t 128 but the other one and why is there another siren on that pole thing and what kind is it
@firepipernickb Read the description, it's a 2T22.
@OfficialOpinion Probably not, considering each port has its own horn. But I don't know for sure.
Did they remove the 2T22? And why is that thing lower tone than normal? I like it this way!
Is this a test or a real warning?
Does that work for you?
Would be a thousand times better if the t-128 was a single tone banshee.
@JustInn014 Hopefully give it to me! That is, if I can get ahold of them...
@shorttman1968 Read the description.
This is just a test.
@theZombieSlayerSxg actually a lot of times it really does.

@ricofojas2011 It doesn't sound, unfortunately.
coll i like it
Nvm, dang auto correct on iPad.

That 2t22 sounds odd...
@dilloncarpenter I am on mobile
ok
Slowly loosing pitch........
WhammyP-50
what causes it to lose its pitch?
It can be due to the battery power or just because it has a DC motor. DC motors can't always keep their pitch.
