I appreciate that you show the mess and have no shame! Im sitting in my garage and there’s boxes, and bags of soil and pots 3everywhere, also a plant shelf project that’s half done lol. And i dont’ have kids…love your energy 😊
Hehe thanks Madeline :D Yeah, it definitely makes my life a lot easier in terms of not having to clean everything in the house each time I want to make a video and stressing about it haha I've got no hair to pull out anymore haha
Interesting video. My approach to new plants is to give the plant a couple of weeks in my home. Then I take it out of the pot to look at its roots and the potting mix it’s in. I do this to make sure the plant is in a pot that is the right size for its roots. (I’ve recently found that plants I buy are in pots that are a lot larger than it’s roots, making overwatering really easy.) I also change the potting mix to my mix because I then have a better idea of how often I’ll need to water it etc. I would have soaked that Thai con in a bucket of water for at least a few hours to rehydrate it and work out if the original potting mix had become hydrophobic.
Wow beautiful plants 🪴 So happy I found this video as I’ve just got a Thai cutting with 3 leaves & 2 Ariel roots. Thanx for showing how to pot & correct soil to use. I hope my plant grows like ur’s are x
Another cool video 😎 I really need to get my hands in a thai constellation. I just got a little albo so I'll focus on that first 🤣 those coir poles are horrivle for aroids. I had my adonsonii growing on one of them and I have noticed all aerial roots dying and blackening. I have now removed it and will probably let it traik and prop some to restart it on a moss pole 👍 have a great weekend!
They're getting cheaper and cheaper. The Australian market is just now getting flooded with small Thais for $100-150 AUD (There're some on eBay and Facebook Marketplace currently). Hehe cheers for the tip re: coir poles. I'll have to see how this one goes. Hopefully it just keeps the plant upright.
@@petevsplants7516 I love your videos! Do you have any recommended online plant stores/ebay shops to get Thais from? I've been wanting one for a while but am struggling to find any Australian stores that also aren't selling for $1'000 haha It is my dream plant but I'd really need an affordable option, i hope they drop further in price soon! Maybe one day they'll be in Bunnings
I really enjoy your content, I always learn something! My moisture meter doesn’t work either, the meter shows some wet n dry spots in the soil even after I watered it well. 🤔 Thank you dear!! 💕
I’ve just found you and I like your style so I subbed… I hope I don’t sound as rude as Elmer but I’ve just got to say I would of let the roots have a good soak and gotten that god awful soil off them before repotting and let her sit in the sink like you were going to do. That’s a lot of plant to rehydrate. I’m not throwing shade and I’m not saying I’m right, it’s just what I would of done .. looking forward to watching the rest of your vids
Thanks, mate! And no need to worry or apologise for sounding rude. You didn't. I appreciate the advice! Also, wasn't sure if Elmer was being sarcastic or not... haha assumed the best, but re-read the comments and think you're right haha oh well.
Ok and that's why I only have very few plants in soil and water those rarely and not fully soak the soil, fully saturating the soil just does not work for me

Hey mate! My pleasure! Hope the cutting grows fast.
I love your sense of humour, so refreshing! 🥰🙏🏻
Naw, thanks so much, Little Buddha! Where are you watching from?

Great video! Love the content and your style! Also, your wife is adorable!
Nawww, thanks mate! I'll pass it on to my wife haha

Interesting. It may be that the soil is compacted? Otherwise grab a new meter

Thank you for your reply. That’s exactly what I’m going to do.
Best repot video ever. GOAT!!!!

I agree with Von. I probably would have let her soak awhile. Lol. Awesome video mate.

Great video! Brilliant idea securing the pole with zip ties. I will now practice opening everything with my mouth. 🤣🤣🤣Thanks for sharing.
Hahaha cheers, mate :D Hope you enjoyed the video!
Yu didn't forget, that machine meter was wrong. 🙂 Hello from Bradford Massachusetts
was that the Thai con that ended up having scale? If so, I’m not surprised. Lots of questionable stuff going on in that pot.
Your garage looks exactly like mine! 🤗
Haha glad I'm not the only one!
Do you speak Portuguese? I would love to hear you do an episode in your native language if that is the case!
Hey mate, I speak it but English is my native language. My wife's Brazilian so we're raising our kids to speak both languages :)
Wow great job. ! 😍
Thanks, Allisa! What're you growing at the moment?
How’s his wife still asleep with all that noise?
Do you call your house 'The Jungle' now?
Yeah, it's now mandatory for me and my wife to welcome anyone who comes over with "Welcome to the jungle!"
Have a bowl or a thing that you hang up on the wall to put your keys on you never lose them after that
This was the best! 😁
Hehe cheers, Reagan :)
😂😂😂😂 It doesn't look like you were mixing in the perlite, just moving it from one box to another, use a hand shovel next time.
Where are you Pete?
Oh no!!!
Oh yes!!
What a big, embarrassing mess!!!
lol
Do you accumulate a lot of crap after you have kids??. I'm glad I don't have them. Jeeezzzz!!
lol yes... to put it lightly. We have a lot of extra crap we would've otherwise not had haha kids not included
I don’t think you’ll have to worry about having kids Elmer ….
lol
