@@justas_hikes We used paper maps! Also (and this was very important for getting over the Tilicho pass) we had a Sherpa guide. I doubt we could have navigated this part without a guide because when you get up to the Great Ice Lake it is a bewildering moraine landscape which takes a good half day to walk across. Maybe these days there is a marked trail but when we did this it was only one or two years after the Marsyandi valley was opened up to tourists so the way was not well trodden.
@@hrsimages1817 Wow, that must have been a unique experience, probably even more authentic and natural. But even today, if you avoid the new roads, it’s unique enough.
This is a really good video. Congratulations on doing the real thing, and walking it. I first did the full circuit in 1987, starting in Dhunche and ending right in Pokhara. Then it took about 23 days. I've been back numerous times, most recently last year where we did the Mardi Himal trek. I understand progress, although cars in Muktinath was upsetting to me at first.....
@@steveforman3202 Thank you, Steve, for taking the time to watch! I can only imagine how perfect the experience and spirit were in 1987 (the year I was born) without jeep roads. Personally, I used the New Annapurna Trekking Trails (NATT-Trails) for almost the entire trek, but I can't imagine doing the trek on the roads.
Wow, beautifully presented trail! You started the trail when I finished it in Manang. Thank you for bringing back memories to these wonderful places.
You are different bro.
I love your style to make videos. You show the real Nepal with out saying any word🥰 I hope you gain many subscribers on future. Love from 🇳🇵

breathtaking video in all of UA-cam and I have watched a lot of videos over the years. Brought a deep sense of why we are on this magnificent Earth.

great video, top class efforts and beautifully captured. 100k incoming for sure.
Can't wait for 100k. Thanks;)

Would love to see more work from this creator. What an amazing piece it is. The hikes and solo travels are often filled with this silence with the occasional sound of the village as one passes through it, the children playing and the animals grazing. Awesome work it is

Having just discovered this and half way through this I found this to be really amazing. Now the best hiking/traveling video of mine. I really like how instead of just seeing it as a place to go you participate a little bit in the local culture. I have always wanted to spin real Bhuddhist prayer wheels myself.
Thank you so much! It's actually amazing that you liked that random video of mine out of millions of others. Personally, the second half was my favorite part 😊 thanks again!
@@justas_hikes Just discovered it. Better than Kraig Adams just because you explore the local culture as part of your experience. I love that.

Wow, what an incredible solo adventure on the Annapurna Circuit! As someone who's always been fascinated by the Himalayas, your video really brought it to life. The culture, the stunning views, and even playing football with the local kids - what an experince! Trekking 260 km without a guide or porter is seriously impressive. Thanks for sharing you journey, it's super inspiring!

Your showreel has brought bach unfforgetable memories and sensations, and to breath again the atmosphere that I experienced there live during those years. Nepal and Himalayas will always remain in my mind and in my hearth. 🙏
