The Ferrari Roma displays the level of usability and comfort that a GT car needs but blends it with Ferrari’s characteristic sports car feel. The chassis is brilliant in its poise and balance, while the new eight-speed DCT gearbox is a perfect partner for the explosive engine. The modern interior and design improvements bring this all together in one cohesive package that feels at ease with its own character. The technology is mostly a big advance for Ferrari as well; a few points jar, but the improvements show a brand that is forging ahead into a new era.

Never TELL us how it sounds when you can SHOW us!
I agree. Although, the feeling of being inside the car is always different than listening to a recording of it.
Exactly. And never tell us how small are the back seats without showing us. Lot of faults on that review. Boring video
Yes this Ferrari looks modern and classic at the same time beauty
I dont know im pretty divided on its looks in my opinion its the only ferrari currently that looks good but there is just something so bland and uninteresting about . If I saw it on the road I wouldnt give it a second look , been a ferrari fan my whole life but I just not interested in any of there current line up of cars
Piece of rubbish REAR WHEEL DRIVE.
@@yousefbhoyroo6960 really? Lol
@@yousefbhoyroo6960 yes the BEST arrangement
this is most beautiful every day gt from ferrari good job to ferrari.

@@MonicaHolly143 :That's the one I like.Has to be the v12 though.
It is absolutely gorgeous, with classic proportions and a simple yet elegant design. My favorite Ferrari is the '62 250 GT, but the Roma evokes that great early '60's flowiering of design.
@@medotorg2720 : 👍
Does it look like a Ferrari though? Rebadged Aston, perhaps? Not a classic shape, in my eyes - is this due to EU Pedestrian Regulations?
It’s like Maserati and Aston Martin had a love child, and Maserati told Ferrari it is his lol 😂. Looks great!
😂
And that's when Aston went MGTOW!!!!
Indeed, it looks like the Maserati Alfieri concept.
50s Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta, has a simular shape and over all shark nose with a long hood. Possibly one of the prettiest cars ever made, and Ferrari has been doing this thing recently, where they try to being back the shape and modernized design of older Ferrari models, that were produced when aston martin or maserati didnt even make anything that looked like this lol. For example, the New Ferrari monza is inspired by Ferrari monza 860, same with roma, being inspired by Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta. Seems like your knowledge is too low.
John_2084's builds its a joke bro, respect tho have a good day.
I’ve warmed up to the design. Wasn’t really excited about it initially. But it’s truly beautiful.
I hoped if it was red
I think it would not have got all the critique of it looking like an Aston if the press cars were not grey
It's always the same with every new Ferrari, they change dramatically language design for every car and people need to get used to. At first everybody hates on it, after they love it
9:47 that panel shake above the bootlid.
I thinks that’s the pop-up spoiler
I have said if I win the lottery I won't buy a sports car .... this has changed my mind, stunning just stunning.
quite possibly my favorite new ferrari.
Did they run out of red paint?
I normally say all Ferrari 's should be red, but the roma does not look great in red.
I was trying to find atleast a drop of red 😁
All Ferraris look better in colors other than red. That's just fact, whether you like it or not.
Funny the California and Portofino also have other press colours in the promo material.
Check the Video from Shmee150...he tested a red car :-)
First English Roma review.....great video👍🏻.....beautiful car
This car is so beautiful, and its beauty is so aptly captured by the videograoher, that it was really difficult to keep up with the presenter's rather eloquent speech in the background.
It looks SO much better than any Aston or AMG GT. Its going to look stunning in person.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 look with your eyes dude
@@thelifeandtimesofteddywint5396 you use the laughing crying emoji. so well done having your opinion invalidated.
From Australia here - just wondering if that's a Yorkeshire accent t'presenter's sporting?
Great car! I really like the interior. For the first time Ferrari uses contemporary technology and now it is in a position to give a headache to it’s rivals.
Great in-depth review, it's a great looking auto.
I really like the design of this new Ferrari! really pushed the boundaries with new ideas, beautifully sculpted body, and details also the interior step up from its predecessor.
The bumper !
what's the location of the shoot as in this video???
What kind of music is playing in the background? write the title, please.
Really nice, it looks like a Aston Martin and Genesis had a baby.. I honestly don't see Ferrari anywhere... Great vid 👌🏾👌🏾
I like the rear end design. The front, not so much. Interior on the other hand, is perfect!
A touch pad on the steering wheel??? Sounds like a recipe for many many accidental touches...
Could have used more sound or enthusiastic driving. Still, good content and points. Centre infotainment screen already looking dated though, ew for the black plastic. Going to age the car a bit.
What’s the name of this color and what’s the name of the interior color?
A real beauty - best looking Ferrari in years.
Anyone else prefer this over the F8? I just feel that stepping back, and allowing the car to relax a little, makes a much better package with that V8.
The Roma's interior also doesn't look like it was designed by a 14 year old
Those seats and steering wheel! Its a beautiful car! stunning!
It looks like a design you might see in a Maserati. And praise doesn't get much higher than that. 👍
Good review!!
This car is truly beautiful - destined to become a loved classic I'm sure.
Nah its gonna be the ferrari that will be cheapest to buy after depreciation and never go up in value again, its to generic looking to be remembered
What’s the interior color in this? Is it Rosso Ferrari or Bordeaux
I really don’t like that central LCD display on the dash. It sticks out like a sore thumb, looks tacked on and will quickly date the cabin design going forward. If they had just integrated it more into the dash, it would look a heck of a lot better. But every new Ferrari seems to lose a little bit more soul. With the march towards electric mobility, I suppose that’s inevitable.
And that’s what they’re probably going for, so their customers already trade up!
shareholders are in charge now, this is what you get
good review. keep it up
great review amazing car
The funny thing is finally they did a modern Ferrari that doesn't look like a mess, It's beautiful but somehow it looks more like a British car now ( AM/Jaguar )
Very coo video! I love the silver color///
Ahm..the Mazda Kai concept looked pretty cool too ;)
It’s beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous imo.
Rather uninspiring. The silver paintwork probably doesn't help. I'm not a fan of the Ferrari V8 engine either.
For that kind of money there are far more interesting alternatives.
The Ferrari V8 is one of the best sounding and best performing engines available today.
How many alternatives have you bought?
aggiewoodie Ferrari’s V8s USED to be some of the best sounding engines in the car world but new EU regulations have mandated a new filter that takes out the crackles and pops along with the scream associated with the brands previous models. Listen to the car as he’s talking, even when he puts his foot down you can BARELY hear the car. Sad times
Screw the car . Where are you filming man ? That view is just beautiful.
Do you think there will be an S version or something related ?
A warmed over 82 chevrolet corvette mixed with jaguar xk?
Did they get check mark light designs from Lexus?
Take a shot every time he says "however"
Most beautiful Ferrari of recent times IMO
Excellent review. The photography was fantastic the comments were well-informed and it was pleasant to listen to overall. The car is magnificent and definitely beautiful, perhaps one of the best Ferraris ever put out
Hmmmm, not sure about the styling. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good looking car, but for that kind of money you could get a new DB11, with a V12. Probably more exclusive, imo far classier, and with the V12 I’d wager a more enjoyable experience all around. That being said I’ve not driven either so what do I know.
There is no DB11 with an n/a V12. It's a twin turbo. And it doesn't make more power than the Roma.
@@slagorourke Ah didn't realise, all the previous V12's were n/a I just assumed. Power numbers are kind of irrelevant in a GT car, really the last thing you would pay attention too.
Prefer to see Ferrari concentrate on hybrid propulsion than on digital interiors. Still AstonMartin will be dead envious of what cash and resources can do vs what they have
Stephen Doherty - I don’t think AM will have the same cash flow problems once the all new mid-mount Vanquish Concept goes on sale in 2022. As long as they can make it til then, I think AM will take a good share of the Tributo, 720 and Hurucan market. AM is not the not older man’s sportscar any more, and high time too.
@@stevek7073 The DBX will be the cash cow for Aston Martin, just like the Cayenne/Macan is for Porsche and Urus is for Lambo.
Speednote10 - I concur.
@@stevek7073 assuming Astons backers have deep enough pockets to keep Aston both afloat during the recession, investing in competitive products (not another limited special edition) and making the dbx Astons answer to the porsche cheyenne/tucan. Hoping for another bond free pr appearance is risky (bond will drive a mondeo if the appearance money is enough)
Finally a pleasant looking guy presenting at this channel....:)
That rear hatch/trunk opening is a horrible design. The opening cuts too low into the rear of the car. It makes loading and unloading easier but the slightest rear end accident could mean replacing the entire rear hatch instead of a bumper cover and some internal supports.
The back design reminds me a bit alike Ferrari 456.
Stunning
Did Ferrari used the alfieri design from maserati??
Ferarri Most beautiful Car ever made by Ferarri. Very simple classic yet elegant looking..... Good job Ferarri....
You can get the chrome on the inside and the black plastic on the top of the touch screen specced as carbon fiber instead so that’s not a fault
It's very hard to consider this becuz the turbo s is just in the corner which technically is also a gt car cuz of how much it is comfy to drive and the space is big too
It looks like an Aston Martin! 😂
But in all seriousness, this is a truly gorgeous car!
THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAR IN THE HISTORY... FAST AS WELL AS SUPER MODERN.
Simple design. Looks nice
Very nice design, even if it does seem a bit less Italian. Maybe it is the gray paint color.
You did a whole film on a Ferrari without the sound of the engine. That says something (although I'm not sure if it says something on your film or their car!)
I find it amazing that all you journalists are talking about is the GT-ness of this car. Show the rear seats ! Show the trunk ! I have yet to see these...
It’s the most stunning Ferrari for years
I love the Roma!! Perfect mix between the front of the Monza SP1 / SP2 and the rear of the classic 400 Superamerica !!
I think this is the first Ferrari I don’t like. The front is okay but that rear just doesn’t feel Ferrari. It’s more reminiscent of corvette or Camero which for an Italian car to be compared to is a funeral.
funny. i think (f50 aside) the first modern ferrari i think looks good
4 position Manettino switch to allow more sliding. Vettel has left chat
I love everything about the Roma EXCEPT the hideous grille. It looks so cheap and ugly. Great review!
Agree, they should of done it hollow, kind of like a jaguar.
They might have done that for smoother design evolution for if/when they move to an all electric drivetrain.
So true, looks like the back panel of a washing machine, shame as the rest of the car is fantastic.
Ferrari's history of producing GT cars in the 50's, for the North American market, seems to be repeating itself and I think thee will be more GT cars to come now. Roma is very stylish. Nice review.
Nice car, kudos for Pumas good match
You needed way more outside footage of this car driving
And interior...I thought it was a car review not 30% looking at some bloke driving. Have a look at Harry's Garage and see the multi camera angles. BTW - looks like a TAG Monaco methinks...but not the Gulf Limited issue ;-)
Originally designed to be the Maserati Alfieri.
its funny because it genuinely looks like the Alfieri.
Don't know why it reminds me of Aston Rartin DB series
Because it looks exactly like one
@@hsvcommodore4111 Or perhaps, exactly like many of the old Ferraris? But you're too clueless about cars to know about that.
Also, Aston Marin wishes they built a car that looks half as good as this. Or was half as good.
BeyerT1 ah what a surpsrise, some small fanboy who things he knows everything🙄 f off. I never said i orefered the aston, this looks way more beaitiful imo and it probably drives better. But you gotta hate right away you little hitt ler, don‘t you?
@@derbigpr500 Here comes another expert who knows all about car history, and yes it looks like Aston Martin, and maybe your egoistic, self-righteous mind will not be able to digest this.
What a pretty machine
Ferrari laying the smack down on Aston
This is a lovely car and probably the nicest looking Ferrari since the 456 but imagine how amazing it'd have been with a smaller capacity, normally aspirated V12?!
I would like to see the grill in metal.
That grille is dreadful...like a prototype fill in piece.
well get it in black or metal then , its available
Now they just need to clean up the steering wheel. Indicators back on a stalk please.
Actually got bored watching this. Once he said portafino I was out 😅 maserati roma more like
Amazing 😍😍😍😍😍😍
At 10:09 I thought a scary face was going to pop out 💉🤕😵😵
WoW!! Mix of Maserati + Aston Martin = Ferrari Roma. So awesome.
Driving a brand new ferrari in 2020: 620hp, cruising a 80km/h, fine.
I don't see any Ferrari DNA in this design. Such a radical departure from the classically beautiful lines of the F12.
The rear reminds me the Porsche 928.
Ferrari: Good news, the new roma is available for review!
Auto Express: What's the bad news?
Ferrari: You'll have to TRAVEL to Italy.......
Auto Express: .......well....we'll send the FNG.
FNG: Thanks Covid.....sincerely.
sorry, did he just say 488 piston? 4:20
This is the most elegant new Ferrari, it’s like going back to their roots. They need to stop overstyling their cars and just focus on the less is more approach in design, like how Pininfarina used to design Ferraris.
Finally a gentleman's ferrari 🙌👏
That rear end looks an awful lot like the Jaguar F-type. Not a bad thing...just an observation.
That's the first thing I said it looked like, an Aston Martin.
Back to pure design
If this car looks dull or doesn't do anything for you it's probably because you've just been on a T50 binge like everyone else.
"Why are there touch panels? Gordon Murray hates touch panels"
"Why does this car weigh over 1000kg?"
"Why does this car have turbos when the T50 is naturally aspirated?"
"If this car is so good for driving then where is the H-pattern manual?"
and so on and so on.
Looks like an Italian Aston Martin and that’s perfect. If you like both but can’t afford both just get this it’s a perfect compromise😁
@footballcoreano where do you get your misinformation? These designs were pinned from the Jaguar E-Type.
rear is great - not sold on the front - looks strange, light look like they have slid down the bonnet and the grille is just wrong
It's utterly beautiful ... still looks like an Aston though which is kind of pointed out by saying it has "nods" towards Ferrari ... just nods ... the rest obviously looks like an Aston.
Millennial Ferrari is here.......
its good but i prefer the MC
Gorgeous Machine ❤️
This is the euro version with the GPF installed....doesn’t help sound quality. Beauty car though.
Ferrari gets chance after chance to fix the sound issue of their cars of late.. they seem to be seriously missing the plot. Sports car design priority checklist- 1. Looks 2. Performance 3. SOUND. C'mon guys this isn't hard..
