Clearly explained, an awesome cut! I really appreciate that in spite of being a v.busy guy you still care to spend time on making those great vids and teaching us.
I'm not even a hairdresser & I get a lot of my ideas from you & get compliments on my hair cuts all the time because of your help. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thankyou so much for taking the time to do this video, excellent explanation. Started hair again at the age of 53 after loosing my job to covid I am growing my customer base and the tips from your video s have been invaluable Thankyou Sean
Just what I needed! Im 67 & mostly wearing wigs now. You just cant wear them right out of the box. Most of them need to be customized for your liking....So thank you very much!♡
I used this tutorial to cut my sisters hair in march since she couldn't get one from a hairdresser, it helped a lot! Now I'm gonna give her another haircut and I've came back here! Great video :)
This is how my instructor teaches me how to face frame on clients in the student salon and no matter how many times she shows me I can never get it. You've broken it down so simply. I'll pay more attention on how I hold my elbow. I have no form when cutting hair. It kills me because I graduate in two months and hair sculpting is especially what I went to school for. 💔😣✂🛇💇🙆 Thanks for your vids. Sorry for the long story lol.
Thanks for sharing your expertise on hair cutting. You are a great teacher for me because you make it so easy to understand and duplicate and now I can cut hair and know why I'm doing certain things to get the end result I want. I can now reap the rewards of being a licensed cosmetologist!!
I’ve been watching the salon guy before beauty school after beauty school and now as a licensed professional he is truly the best✨ thank you so much for uploading this great content
It's quarantine season and I'm cutting my own hair :D And thank you!!! This video is so helpful, the frame looks so good especially when I put my hair in a ponytail. Gotta give myself a pat on a back as well.
Wish you was in my area I'd have you cur my hair people around here don't know squat how to face frame the haircuts I get are horrible glad hair grows back!
I really miss my hairstylist lol. I need a good haircut and new look to feel refreshed. I've been under such stress lately and a good haircut always makes me feel good. Thanks for sharing!
Hi! Thank you so much for this great video! My sister wants me to cut her hair to face framers soon, and I've only ever given her trims. This video really helped! Thank you :)
I did this before quarantine and I messed up kind of badly...so now I'm using this time to grow it out so I can try cutting it like this again when all of my hair is the same length 😂
Ben cutting for 7 years and had no idea, face frame was even a term used in the industry, and I know about the angling, but for some reason when someone requests the front be cut shorter than the back, I have brain farts and end up cutting bangs🤦🏾♂️
You mentioned in the beginning of the video going over if the client parts their hair off centered... would you do the same concept but with their hair parted how they normally part it rather than through the center?
When you cross the check your face frame when you pulled all the hair in the center, are you cutting straight across with a horizontal finger angle or are you cutting with a diagonal finger angle cutting a triangular shape
will parting in the middle affect the way it looks when it’s to a side part? i usually part my hair to the left but i’m worried using this technique will look uneven
love the end results! but the only problem I find with that type of face frame is that hrought out the day it'll fall back down and you'll have to constantly brush the hair back to maintain that look. I've tried hairspray and etc. to keep it in place and it always tend to fall back down or the product ends up weighing it down. Are there any products you can recommend to hold those face frame brushed back and in stay in place?
Hellocindy2 if your hair wants to fall forward, it will fall forward, you can use an extreme hold hairspray to hold it back ,alternately, have the layers long enough to tuck behind your ears, another option is to blow dry your hair back when you style it
i did this on myself at 2 am and it actually turned out really good
tranquility fr how did u angle it and cut at the same time i’m so scared
i did it yesterday and it turned out ok lmao
I should've known cutting my own hair would fail 😐😢 I'm here to see if I can save it.

Me too....rn its 4 in the morning
Thank God I'm not alone! In my 70 yrs, only found 1 stylist that cut it the way I wanted. Not hard, just follow the picture.

Excellent online hair tuition.
Good Lord you're AMAZING!
Is it possible to do the face framing layers with a blunt cut at the back?
Thank you for sharing!
Love it! Thanks for the helpful tips.
Love it! Definitely trying this!
I’m finding sometimes on my clients the top of the face framing is almost square. Am I not taking it at enough of an angle?
This guy is amazing
Ben cutting for 7 years and had no idea, face frame was even a term used in the industry, and I know about the angling, but for some reason when someone requests the front be cut shorter than the back, I have brain farts and end up cutting bangs🤦🏾♂️
Can I do this with my layered hair ?

hello to the oikawa kinnies having a breakdown in quarantine
For a face frame which falls forward on to the face, would this still work, but would the layers have to be longer say from the chin. .
Wow! Sweet and simple 👌🏽 so helpful! Thanks so much for all of your video tutorials 😃
I like your hair cut
For the fact this dummy will have better hair than I ever will! Showed this to my stylist!!!! Do you think it’d be possible to do it on your own?
Point cutting? These ends on frame for me is too heavy. How would you fix that? And you never addressed side part which I have.
How will this technique work for deep side face framing? I make wigs and I most of my people prefer a side part.
Pretty good helps
will parting in the middle affect the way it looks when it’s to a side part? i usually part my hair to the left but i’m worried using this technique will look uneven
Just part your hair to where you normally part it, and use the same techniques!
Very nice video
Thank you! You saved me lol
i wrecked my hair so now i’m here
Perfect
Wow u r genius!!
10:49 ONE PIECE!

May I ask where you get your combs from Steve? They look awesome!
It looks like Sam Villa comb , available on Amazon
I accidently cut the length so my hair is way more short in the front :/ can i fix this?
