The OVERWHELMING support from the local people after the meeting speaks VOLUMES. Kudos to WE THE PEOPLE!
Heartening wasn't it? So many people are hostile to anyone who stands up for their rights. But this lot were adults who were shocked and disgusted at their official's actions.
I was going to say something similar. Because of the awesome citizens, I think this was one of Sean's best.
This is where change happens! As learned by Texas activists, at Leon Valley, lawsuits do nothing: grassroots political action results in change. If you don't know the story, an entire city council was flipped, three city managers forced to resign, all to fire a police chief. In the process, so much more was revealed. That dear little lady who apologized immediately for others actions should be a trustee or a public official...she was more accountable than any of those arseholes in so called power. She was the only empathetic voice and she didn't even have to have the entire story...she believed Sean immediately and showed more compassion than I've seen on any of the townhall meetings, council meetings, etc...may she be BLESSED continually! What disgusted me the most in this video is it wasn't anyone on the board who apologized to you, it was the good people of the village who apologized for their governments appalling behavior! That speaks volumes of that board believing they don't work for the people!

So you suggest the town apologize before any investigation and accept any accusation as fact which could open their local government up to litigation and could be misconstrued as acknowledging fault?? @@patrickstotler1201 It's still possible to apologize without admitting fault. All they'd have to do is say something like "If that's what happened, that sounds unacceptable. We'll need to see your video and investigate though before we can decide what action may be necessary."
To be fair, they shouldn't apologize until they see the video and look into it themselves. It'd be like the police siding with the person who called in on suspicious behavior w/o looking into it themselves.

I think the mayor made a good stance here. He's not going to say anything until he sees the video for himself. He stayed civil and kept the peace during the meeting. This is why Sean is the best at what he does. Let's all admit... if he was "chasing views and clicks" he could have left after the Lou incident and called it a day. That was more than enough footage for a video... but what does Sean do instead... he waits around on his own time and then attends a town hall meeting to further hold these public servants accountable. The entire time he held himself to the utmost professionalism in the face of tyranny. Thats exactly what it looked liked to me. Why havent they taken action before? Probably a matter of "dont rock the boat". Nobody wants to be the "difficult" one in these smaller communities.
