Also might mean that when you catch them, you’re not actually capturing the entirety of them, but only a fraction of their power. The rest of them is still out there, waiting, watching.
Honestly for the game's actual fight, it would have been nuts if Arceus slowly transformed into it's "beta"/true form, as reality begins to warp more and more, fitting the accelerating/glitching music the fight arealdy has. Imagine if Arceus itself stopped the fight, not because it has decided the player character is worthy, but rather because it doesn't wish to destroy their mind by exposing a form incomprehensible to mortal beings, basically tagging along with the player out of respect because they managed to actually survive against it for that long.
Would not be possible because as stated, the arceus we're fighting is only a fraction of himself.
Even though it’s only a fraction of Arceus can’t it still show a little bit of his power?
Would make sense because the music gets glitchy at the end of the fight but the fight stays basically the same and doesn’t change to go with the music changing. I guess it would be too much effort but still.
Also it might make the fight a little bit too hard if it did go with the music and the game actually breaks but on purpose rather than unintentionally because haha gamefreak rushed the game.
The original spirit is still an avatar of the true form.

The arceus is a "Hand" of a "God". There is thousands "Hand" that used to create pokemon world. The true "God" that hatched from the "Egg" is still unkown.

In Pokémon Legends Arceus we see a light version of Arceus which presumably is its true form and resembles its beta sprite. But it also resembles Dialga, Palkia and Giratina in each of their games' title screens.

Dang, it really brings a worldly feeling of how powerful and almighty Arceus is for a creature who governs time space and distortion
My head-canon is that beta Arceus is the true Arceus; a formless omnipotent force like the Holy Spirit. The “Thousand Arms” of Arceus are merely just the thousands of physical forms that it can manifest.
Theory: The “Thousand Arms” are also Unown, as well as the physical form that Arceus usually takes.
I like how game freak likely changed arceus' design because they thought people wouldn't get why it looks the way it does but when the beta was revealed people instantly not only got it but preferred it to the lama trapped in a fence that we got.
