9:50 The first 8 weeks are there to sort out the weak from the strong. You really have to crush people and make sure that they continue, because you cannot afford to train longer with somebody that you cannot count upon. Hence, you cannot build upon somebody that suddenly quits in an unknown scenario just because he is isn’t semper paratus.
Awesome man, im stationed in CT. Just remember to manage your money well. If you're lucky enough o get extra allowances, not something everyone can get, don't blow it on a new car. You may make $800 extra at one unit but when you transfer you may only make $450 or $0.00..I worked with one guy who bought at $60K truck and got transferred to a unit where he can't collect on allowances. I don't know if his wife is working yet but still
Being clear. At the beginning when he says to talk to a recruiter, is this before joining the coastguard or after you graduate coastguard training center
Great video I never knew about that program before this thank you also I got your book it was really informative and I think it'll definitely get me one step ahead in things I need to know for boot camp I hope to enlist in about 9 months once I graduate
Thank you for this. Did have one question though! He said 6 months of training and sleeping in barracks. Does that mean always being away from family? I have wife and 8 month old son. That is why I am curious.

The reason why you don't have to wait 6 months to a year now to get into Coast Guard Aviation is because a lot of good experience men and women of excellent character have been forced to retire for your behalf. Don't fubar it up. Keep the tradition, pride and excellence going. Ball is in your court now. Showtime let's see what your made of.

Hello! Im Air Force going Coastguard and if you have the opportunity to go to the Air Force academy, do it. The investment is bigger i would say but if you’re looking for a long term career, AF Academy will provide way more opportunities coming out of it as an officer than just going AST enlisted and doing that for 20 yrs. We had cadets from the AF academy during basic training under our MTI’s and they gave us a good amount of info and insight. AF Academy is no joke but youd get way more out of it if would say…but hey man… Follow your heart.

Do uscg rescue swimmers ever deploy to like Afghanistan or a combat zone?
What fucking water would they be swimming?
Army 1st. Very few US military are seeing combat rights now, and 2nd. That would be like training a doctor and having him wipe asses in a senior home
Sham Wow 😭😭😭😆😆😆
😂😂😂😂
How do you think it would be switching branches to this mos/job?
Man, if you got that 2nd chance scenario after 8weeks of hell... You'd be in beastly shape by the 2nd round of the 8weeks 😆
