Full front PPF and ceramic coated my Mazda 3 within a month of receiving. Everyone complains about how thin the paint is and it gives you a peace of mind.
3:30 every mazda from model 2 to 9 has connections to the internet for mazda, they already collect information about you like OTO, when you fill your tank or pressure of tires, oil changes. ect.
I saw this car when I took my CX-9 in for service three weeks ago. I was impressed. Mind you, I have the same car at home, black on black. But the combination of the polymetal gray and the red seats heightens the appeal of this car to a whole new level.
Thanks Bill for watching and commenting. Love those CX 9s. Very fun to drive. I would agree. The polymetal and red combo is very striking and unique in this price class.
You deserve significantly more subs and views. Your production value is S tier. Thank you. Just bought one a few days ago,2023 model. Will show up in a couple weeks
Thanks Cyrus for those very nice words. And congrats on your 3. We are currently working to get our 15K update video out in the next week or so. Keep in touch and let us know how you like your 3 when you get it. All the best.
I've had this car since last August since my 2013 was wrecked in a collision. I just wax the exterior in prep for winter. It worked for my 2013, no ceramic coat needed. I doubt the paint is weaker than a 2013 model - so did the same for the '22. BTW this car is such an upgrade in every way. So fun even with winter tires on it.
@@BeyondTheTestDrive No I have the FWD one. I did not want AWD unless it was the Turbo - but due to the shortage I was unable to find a Turbo in the color I wanted.. Oh well, this one is quite fun and lighter than AWD! Happy so far.
I actually did a ceramic coat myself and used Kamikaze Collection Miyabi and ISM coat. The result the blew everything else on the market hands down IMO. I do regular washes with Polish angel line up and use Cosmic Spritz to top up the coating. Works like a charm.
I own 2022 Mazda 3 with premium package. So far I have two issues: 1. Driving in a rain sometimes I get very annoying "drive safely, radar obscured" message on my instrument cluster. 2. Door auto lock feature works only 80-90% the time. But at least I get "door unlocked" message on my phone app, and than can lock the door remotely. Other than that it is a nice car for the money!
Thanks for sharing. We also have these two minor annoyances, so will be tracking a little closer. The rain thing usually is temporary and clears fairly quickly. We have also been getting the message about the locking and was assuming it was locked....so will keep an eye on this. Thanks again!
@@BeyondTheTestDrive Yes, the rain thing sometimes clears by itself, but a few days ago it came on and stayed till the end of the ride which was at least 10 minutes - very annoying! I will be watching what its doing, so far I've driven the car for only 1500 miles. If I may suggest a topic for one of the future videos - dash cam installation on Mazda 3 would be pretty interesting. How to hook it up to the fuse box, run wires under the A pillar, etc.
yes what is up with the Radar is obscured?? lol. I bought this few months ago and it has done it several different times now. I was worried at first but I guess it's normal?? it's distracts me from the road but yet it says drive safe haha. really love the car overall though. so fun to drive
@@shortgolfer76 this is the only car we have had or tested where is seems hyper sensitive to rain. I am wondering if Mazda does this intentionally as braking and traction in wet conditions is hard to predict - so they like the system disabled.? Just a theory. I am imagining this will gist even worse with the slightest hint of snow present.
Hmmm. Yea it’s a tough choice. I personally like the proportions and looks of the sedan better but the hatchback is just cool and has more utility. Make sure you drive both of them as visibility in the sedan is better. The hatch is also a little bit more money in most markets. Let us know what you decide. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Just got mine this past Christmas. Overall, I am happy with the car. Still getting used to the controls and infotainment system. It’s a little cumbersome to get to the different radio/audio channels. I have not been able to figure out how to turn the volume on the Apple CarPlay navigation down without turning down the volume on a phone call. I have to turn off navigation in order to be able to turn the phone call volume up. If anyone has any pointers, please let me know. Love all of the new safety features (lane keep assist, head up display, blind spot monitor). The auto start and locking feature from me phone is a definite plus. I don’t know how much it will cost after the free 3 year period ends.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing. What trim level did you get? We never enable the voice in navigation so never had to deal with the phone volume. Thanks for pointing that out. The phone app works pretty well as you state. and we have grumbled about Mazda charging for the app. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Enjoy your 3 and stay in touch!
How do you clean yours ? You should make a video with full details on what to use to clean different surfaces . For now , what do you use for the seats and front dashboard
Thanks for watching and great idea. We actually do have an exterior maintenance wash video coming out soon but haven’t shot an interior clean yet. Two products we like are P&S Interior cleaner for dash and other plastics and Chemical Guys Leather cleaner and conditioner for the seats, steering wheel, etc.
If I wanted a hatch then I would go CX-30 over the hatch. But the CX-30 comes with AWD standard I think so something to consider. My favorites in order is still the CX-5 followed by the CX-30, then the 3 sedan. We like the 3 sedan because it it quite peppy compared to the CX-30 and does better on gas. But the CXs naturally have more utilities. Stay in touch and let us know what you decide.
@@BeyondTheTestDrive Thanks for the response. Considering the CX-5, but need to test drive it. Reviews say the 30 is more fun to drive and the 30 has the upgraded interior.
That's was and is my 1 complaint about Mazda cars, the suspension is horrible over ruff roads!!! On smooth roads they're great! I had a 3 Premium that I totaled, but I now driver a CX 5 Carbon edition. Overall great driving vehicle.
Thanks for sharing. Those Carbon CX-5s are sharp looking. I think the more compliant ride in the CX-30 and that rear suspension on the CX-5 does take some buyers aways from the more stiff 3. Sorry to hear about your 3 but glad you were able to get into that CX-5.
the 18" rims and 45 sidewalls are probably a culprit. Ive always advocated for beefier sidewalls, preferably a 60R. Not sure why manufacturers are trending toward skinny tires. These are not performance cars.
Wow such hard work to go in a car and press the button that you was already going to go in anyway, ceramic coating that they offer you at the dealership it's all a ripoff. Just get a good meguiars wax or one of the latest protection products do it once every four months that's what I do and I have the crystal Red and the car still looks beautiful
Why do u keep driving over the yellow lines? So u like the sedan over the hatch? Better visibility?? No mention of why Sedan over hatchback. How do u like the small gas tank.
I may comment on the hatchback in the full review video. I like both, but I think the sedan shape works better for visibility. Both are quite the lookers shape wise. The hatch is also little bit more claustrophobia and dark in the back seat. But you are not getting this car for the back seat. The gas tank at 13.2 gallons usually provides a practical range of over 350 miles and well over 400 on highway trips. The AWD will loose about a half a gallon on the tank size and 1-2 less MPGs so slightly less range. Thanks for the questions.
To add the speakers, in my 3 it did have a weird static/ crackling sound on some songs some times. The ac did also act weird some times when switching from heat to ac. It stayed on heat and I would have to turn car off/on to reset it.
Hmm. I wonder if your cracking sound is the same. Ours, when it did do it, would do it on everything, music, Spotify, radio. Will check out the Reddit. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Mazda offers something a little different from other automakers. It is a smaller company and combines a fun to drive personality with Japanese reliability and price. I think thats why they have a fairly loyal following. Thanks again for all the comments!
Hi and thanks for the comment. We do long term ‘test drives’ and focus on driving and ownership satisfaction. Long term is relative to the week or two we get in other cars. You are correct in that we would need several years to assess reliability. We can only assess initial build quality and premature reliability issues at this stage. Thanks again for the comment.
