idk what happened for it to click for me, but I've been watching TB for a long time trying to learn everything I can but I could never put it all together, until recently, I was just out on the lake one day and started to notice all the things I had learned over the years, the fish behavior, the baits, the weather, it all clicked and I started catching them, then it happened again and again and again, and since then out of the 5 local tournaments I've fished this year, I've finished in 3rd twice and 4th once where as last year I could barely make it out of the bottom 5 out of a 20-30 boat field. now when I watch videos I remember seeing examples of what the guys talk about on my lakes and what I could have done differently, I am so insanely grateful for the absolute wealth of knowledge these two give to the community for free, if either of you guys see this, thanks you for all you do for us 1000x over keep it up!
I struggle to catch fish, I have the boat the rods and the electronics and still have trouble. I enjoy being on the water regardless and your videos give me lots of hope lol thank you for what you do, keep them coming!
Huge thumbs up for this video! I was able to crush em the other day using info from last summers videos. This is why I've been subscribed for years. Thanks TB for the awesome videos!
Perfect timing for this. I went out to S. Holston Lake in TN for the first time. We fished from kayaks in shallow water in coves and none of us caught em. No grass, just occasional submerged trees. We tried everything. I was stumped. I guess they must have been out deeper. Definitely good info to think about.
@@MooseKnuckle8 That’s good to know. We had four of us fishing that day, and all of us are intermediate anglers. Probably not the best, but not our first rodeo either. Man, we struggled last Saturday. We fished for five hours, and none of us caught a single thing. Makes me think we should’ve gotten closer to the main lake probably.
Thanks Matt and a question (for anyone).. For grassy natural lakes (I live in MN), how much do structure elements come into play vs. cover elements? Matt talked a lot about finding the best inside and outside edge cover - makes good sense. I'm also wondering about points, drops, humps, saddles and turns and how to prioritize those vs. the best weed spots.
Hey Matt, I'm from Utah and the lake I mainly fish is only 500 acres and has a completely flat bottom with no rocks, brush piles, grass or trees. It has the 100 yds of grass from the bank and I know how to catch them there but I would like to know how to catch them out deep cause I know they're out there. Thanks a bunch, I'm a huge fan and you've changed how I catch fish completely!
Question: how do you use current to you're advantage when the lake is DEEP. Like the river channel is 40 plus feet down, and doesn't have big channel swings like some of the TVA lakes do. Or if there are channel swings and that kind of stuff, how does current play when the river channel is 150 to 200 feet down (talking about Lake Powell in Arizona here).
Matt, what and where would you recommend this time of year for Clear lake. There have been a lot of tournaments and the lake is pressured. 70-72 water temps, 2-3' visibility. I Appreciate all the information. Thanks
I’m in a natural grass lake that is literally overran by grass. There aren’t many edges just submerging grass everywhere. Every bank is lined with docks as well. Have no idea where to even start.
Hey guys could you do a video on lakes with other predatory fish like striper. My home lake is one of the only in the country where they don’t have to be stocked to it’s loaded with striper and sorting through them on the off shore stuff can be a nightmare
Sounds like a fun problem to have unless your a tourney fisherman?I fish the lower Colorado and find some big largemouth get mixed in with the bigger striper when they push those deep bait schools.Throwing a six inch swimbait helped me target the green ones better
Anyone know how to use the lowrance hook2 4x,,, waiting for it to come in but it will be my fist time using it and a boat as well,, any tips are greatly appreciated

You guys have the best information, by far. Great job.
Thanks Matt, great informative video, appreciate it! I love it when I can better understand bass behavior.

Sometimes its just your general location that is difficult. I have to drive about 40 min any direction to get to good bass lakes
love this info; always great reminders every year. thank you
Thanks for sharing your great information. Well done.
Absolutely the best info ever! Appreciate you guys so much! Thanks Matt and Tim!
Great stuff!
Very informative video, appreciate the lake break down and looking forward to the next one! 👍🏻🇺🇸🎣
Awesome video ❤
If possibly could you cover stuff for us bank fishermen ? 😢
Yeah man get a yak 😂

@@TheCrawdadCrusadereven a cheap Walmart yak is going to open up a whole new world for you. You don't need to spend 3-6k on a high end yak.
@tvm2209 Hey! Tim has some older bank fishing vids from when they were still in Cali. 🐟👊🏻
Great video 👍
Thanks Matt! Great video !
Thank you Matt, your excitement is infectious and you keep it simple ❤👍
Great video. Thank you

Thank you it’s like I’m in church when I’m waching
Thank you Matt, great info, truly enjoy tactical bass in’ channel
You guys should do a video on Lake Ontario/the st Lawrence river. And do some largie fishing up north in the smaller mixed bag lakes.

Summer time is fun but it's just so damn Hotttt in the middle of the day down here in south Louisiana.
We need another kayak video I miss those sir
Can you please do a video traveling to watts bar reservoir and breaking down a video like this for that specific lake we are right next to chickamauga
What summer colors should I use in washington state? Been hard to get bites. .

Can you fish structure without sonar? What I'd do to meet up on lake chickamauga for a tutorial.

Would lily pads work the same way as grass ?
Do you have any recommendations to those who don’t have the best electronics to see the topography of the rivers and lakes we fish?
Do you guys ever discuss barometric pressure and how that defects Bass activity?
Im up in Canada, do these rules apply up here as well? Or is this information specific to the area you are ?
Is there a certain app/website to get the detail of the lake y’all fish?
