Potato harvest was awesome this year. My brother and brother in law drove trucks hauling potatoes and when done they hauled corn. They are done now for the season. They both are in the 70's and the 13/14 hour days were hard but they made it.

Hello David. You had great weather. I am about 250 miles SE of where you were. We got 3 inches of snow on Halloween. That was nothing compared to the storm of 1991 when I think the storm total was 31 inches on Halloween. Few people know this but the storm in the movie The Perfect Storm with Mark Wahlberg and George Clooney was the same storm. That sucker went from the middle of the Dakotas all the way in the Atlantic ocean. Funny thing is it all melted and we got just a little smaller amount of snow over the Thanksgiving holiday. Sure glad that first bunch melted. Looking forward to part 2 and glad you made it to Quartzsite and can recover. I have heard the harvest is a ton of work and long hours.

I love beets and it's quite interesting to see where they come from and I'm certain we will see the whole process. I hope you grabbed a few to boil up for yourself, nothing better than fresh beets with some butter and salt and the beet tops can be boiled up to make a tasty sweet green veggie that kind of has the texture of cooked spinach. The sugar beet harvest seems like a great way to make a lot of money in a short time but boy is it grueling!! Whew! Thank for sharing that. My heart went out to poor Lefty -- he's such a daddy's boy, it's really hard for him to be alone for so long while you're working. His breed has such separation anxiety. I don't need to work the harvest and next year, if you're interested (and if the harvest would allow), I would be happy to barter with you to come out and keep the sweet boy company while you work. (I got my rig yesterday!! Wasn't able to find an ambulance but got an extended shuttle bus with the Ford 7.3L Powerstroke diesel engine. Hope to be hitting the road late July.)

@@TheCampulanceMan I'm sorry to hear that. I used to have a guy I worked with who had that. You said you used to have it, does that mean it's gone or just controlled? That tanning thing or lack of pigment in the skin is the only symptoms of my vitalago. But it doesn't bother me in the least to be "spotted". When people ask me about it I just tell them I suffer from the Michael Jackson desease. Stay safe and well my friend.

@@brianmoore4299 I take a medication that keeps it from appearing - I've been using it for years now, injections every 2 weeks like an epi pen. Thank goodness they have the meds for it :)

@@TheCampulanceManwith my cancer and the other things wrong with me I give thanks everyday for the scientist and researchers who develop all this great medicine and medical devices to remove our pain, suffering, and discomfort. Glad you're doing good with it. What about Daylin? Is it hereditary? I'm sorry if any of my questions are out of line or too personal please do not be upset with me. Just don't answer and I'll get it. Truly I only ask out of concern.

So far she hasn't shown it, but it didn't hit me till my 30s and she's just 23. It does pass from parents to children, yes but she's lucky that they have a lot of different meds that can 100% control it. Thanks for your concern Brian :)

I haven't watched in a while, but this video reminded me that I've missed seeing Lefty! I love his personality, so cute!

That sore on Lefty happened to Luke my pitty two months ago, almost the same place. I put anti biotic suave on it every day. Like a hotspot.

He gets into all the bushes and every once and a while he gets some kind of reaction to some I think. They always heal up... he's just sensitive :)

When I was working in food and hospitality, I had to pass a food safety test every couple of years, and a human resources sexual harassment video upon initial hiring. Not objecting, it's just kind of weird that it's considered necessary.
