Not that you were looking for them or that you need more of them, but I don't think along with this video, over 5K subscribers and with all the comments you get from the people you help, I don't think you need anymore verification that you made the right decision to sell your house and do this full time. Congratulations, not many people in life get to know for sure they reached their destiny. Well done David and Lefty. Much Respect.
Right before this I watched a story from Chicago news station. An Uber driver rushed a young man & his brother who had been shot to the hospital. His car has blood soaked everywhere - it has been ruined. People donated to him but he refused the money & insisted it be given to the family of the young man who was shot. It makes me happy to see positive things l8ke these.
Davis Holman from a Chicago newspaper: Despite heroic accolades pouring in as his story hit the media, Bussan, who lives near Burr Ridge, was decidedly downtrodden and emotional the day after. Some at the scene told him they had called an ambulance, but at least five cars were stopped near the accident, he said, and no one had stepped in to take the 21-year-old, clearly seriously wounded, to the hospital. I’m actually disgusted with the people in Illinois,” Bussan said. “Basically, what this proved today is there is a cost for a person’s life, and it’s 50 shares or 300 likes or this number of comments. There’s a number that makes it OK.” Just put the camera down and pick someone up,” he extolled, his voice rising in emotion and anger. The interior of much of Bussan’s vehicle, his source of income, is badly damaged. Blood soaked the seat cushions, headrests and carpeting, and filled the switches on the doors, all of which will have to be replaced as it represents a biohazard. Between the cost of the repairs and the lost income while the car is in the shop, Bussan estimates his actions will cost him thousands. He was looking into filing a claim with his insurance company, but was told they would seek reimbursement from the driver of the Malibu. This kid’s on a ventilator right now, and you want to go after the mom in three months? No, I’m not gonna do that. I’ll figure it out,” Bussan said. A representative of GoFundMe, the online fundraising site, Friday morning confirmed the validity of a campaign for Bussan. Spokeswoman Ese Esan said proceeds from the effort would be paid to Bussan at the conclusion of the fundraiser. Its organizer estimated: “The damage and loss of income will be in the tens of thousands of dollars.”
I am a Spiritual Person, and I know Lefty was a Big reason he went on that walk!! Animals are such wonderful gifts! I know I live in a RV after selling my home, and I have 2 Yorkies, and 2 small poodle mixes plus an African Grey Parrot.
Well done. I couldn't imagine feeling that lonely and desperate not knowing if anyone is going to come along and give me the help I needed to get out of that situation. It is nice to know there are good people out there still.
Thank you for helping. I used to camp alone in a big trailer with F250. Two flat tires made me realize it was just too much to do alone in the middle of no where. Now I camp in a van and don’t stray too far off the beaten path. People are willing to help, but you need to be where they can find you. Thank you for being her angel.
I am putting lug nut adapters on my box trailer for a summer road trip. All my tires and rims will be the same pattern and size. Your right, you can't be completely self reliant.. but I value those that try. Nothing worse than seeing someone in trouble and being completely unprepared for the situation they got themselves into.
almost like changing a woman flat tire when she has her kid in the car/do the right thing/helping someone that need a little help/now the lady can go get some fresh food-an water/it is a blessing to both of you all/thanks much
She may have been the angel...'Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.'
@stephane Johnson The lady was out in the wild to avoid the high expense of RV parks. You have to be very wealthy to live in RV parks. Short term camping in RV parks is expensive.
She doesn’t need to stick to anything. That’s like saying “we should have never traveled- our country wouldn’t have gotten Covid” let’s not victim shame, Stephanie.
@@FreeSpiritMom she was not strong enough to push the pins to lock her vehicle to her RV. That could have been devastating to other drivers on the road as well as to herself. There is no “shame” in considering the safety of others. My killed someone’s family in a car accident once. It was raining and everyone was going the correct speed, but the combination of slick roads and a mountain blind spot resulted in the ending of a 6 year old’s life. My uncle knew he was not at fault, but it didn’t release the pain he felt. On the anniversary of that accident every year, my uncle felt the weight of that accident. I can only imagine how he would have felt if it was something he did that caused that accident.
I grew up on a large ranch in very isolated area in South Dakota, This poor soul doesn't know how to take care of herself out in the wilderness and being elderly should stay closer to populated areas, Im sure she realizes this now. Im very glad you came on her and were able to help her. It can be very scary to be alone and no one to help, been that way several times after being hurt and having to make it home 12 miles away with hospital over 60 miles away. Thank goodness for well trained Cow ponies.
This is why I always write my GPS coordinates on a note pad ready to give to 911 if I have to call them, or to send a quick text to my friend. You MUST have a way to reach out for help when you're alone and let them know where you are. Also a kids GPS tracker in your pocket is also a good idea so someone can log onto your whereabouts. I do this.
Good man, we could not call ourselves civilised if we did not help a person in need, so yes you can feel good for being that person. Fate throws us curve balls and it shows our character when we reach out to help.
Hello David, This is proof that God answers prayers. You may not be a believer, but God still work through you. It just proofs that you are a good man my friend. And God does work in funny ways. You may have had the same feelings this woman had, and that is why you camp so you can see others. You help this woman and it felt good my friend to help someone else. I kind of had the same thing happen to me last year. Only I was stock for only an hour or so. Then I prayed and a few mins laters here came 4 mens that had been camping. They were truck drivers and they knew just how to get me out. It took them all about 2 mins. Thank God for men who help.

Hopefully everyone on the road would do the same. Thank you for helping her out. My greatest fears as a solo female RVer are getting stuck with no one around and having a breakdown out of tow range. Many tow companies will not go more that 100 feet off a paved road to tow someone, and even if they do, the insurance or roadside assistance won't pay for it for the same reason. This lady was fortunate you were there. I'd say she could get a Spot but I don't have one because of mixed reports that someone would actually come help. Also glad she had signal and could reach out to her son. I've done that before, given someone else my coordinates and BLM or NF area if I'm going way out alone so if they don't hear from me by a certain day, they know to call the Rangers for help. Thank you David for doing exactly what I hope we would all do. Lefty did look comfy by the heater.

Your story was touching. I am a 65 yr old female and I should be full time Nomad by mid summer. I have a 92 Ford Econoliner with 14 ft box I am prepping on. The one thing that I felt so strongly was if I didn't get on the road pretty soon, I might not be able to do this at all. I was a Paramedic but in 2012 (age 57), in a diving accident, I broke my neck at C-1 (usually fatal) and pancaked my spine most of the way down. 8 years and 13 surgeries later, now I can retire. I have thought about what I would do if stranded like this lady. From where I have been to where I am going, it has to be between God and me to keep me safe. People come into your life because people need people. You are on the right track. Not spiritual? I beg to differ. Hope to see you on the road...

As someone who has several disabilities and has lost a significant amount of strength in a short amount of time I am terrified of a situation like this. There are things I could do a year ago; six months ago, that I can’t do now. ....I dream of being a nomad but it scares me to death that I will get out there and my abilities will change again and I will be stuck in some strange place with no help.
You are a great person just renews my faith in humanity I’m 75 and getting to the point where I need help and am so grateful for good people. Bless you from California. 💕🐶💕🐶💕🙋♀️
I was car camping in Nevada, planning to go to Flagstaff, at the end of September last year. Had to think more about that after hearing the snowstorm prediction for that area, then decided it wouldn't be wise to continue with my plans, and decided to head for home after a couple of days. Glad I did - I would have been very cold!. BTW, I'm a solo female, 80 years young at that time. Thank you for helping that solo female camper!!!
"Elderly lady" - 74 years of age. That's 10 years away from me and "elderly" would be for someone in their 80s. That's cool to help her. I hope she finds a group to camp with in the future.

Thank you for helping this woman you really came to her rescue. I’m sure she felt great relief and comfort that you were a gentleman. I’m sure also that made you feel good about yourself as well. Well you definitely deserve an ataboy. Keep up the good work. 🌹
Glad you were there to help her out. I can't imagine what that poor woman must've felt. She definitely needs a better vehicle and maybe a smaller rig, especially if she can't connect her trailer to her tow vehicle. You saved her!
Karma comes in unexpected forms when we most need it. Been there and done that and yes it leaves a person with a great feeling of satisfaction to easily help desperate people.
I speak a bit of pooch, what Lefty said was "She's too old to be out alone, it was nice of you to lend a paw." and he's right, well, mostly left. Thanks for sharing!
Elated you could help her.....she must have been beside herself. God works in wonderfully strange ways. I have him lead me often to what i need to *see*. Everything comes back to us when we GIVE.......kudos for being her Angel.
David, Food for thought. I had a friend here awhile get his class A stuck in a similar situation. He had to call a tow truck from 2 hours away at $200 and hour each way plus $400 to hookup and move his rig. We came a realization that he could have bought a 5000lb winch with a receiver for his trailer hitch for about $250 and tied it to a tree and pulled himself out. Since he mainly boondocks that seemed to a better alternative. $250 versus $1200.
You did a wonderful thing David, helping that lady. I can just imagine her anxiety, being alone and stranded. I will leave you with a favorite quote of mine from the late Dr Leo Buscaglia in honor of Dr Love and your gracious act of kindness. "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." Leo Buscaglia
I'm so glad you helped her. I wonder if she might have had help sooner if she'd honked her horn with the SOS message to alert folks within earshot. No judging her - just wondering if she gave that a try or thought of it.

You were her angel. It's such a helpless feeling when you can't do something yourself.
Yes like having to rely on RV Mechanics!! I just went through some stuff that opened my eyes to pick them wisely!
You are a great person just renews my faith in humanity
I’m 75 and getting to the point where I need help and am so grateful for good people. Bless you from California. 💕🐶💕🐶💕🙋♀️
I am 74 and there is no way l would pull a trailer...a van yes..no problem...great that yu were there for her...great job
The dog peeking out the door with you to see the snow - just adorable
God led you to this woman…thank you for being you!
God puts angels in our path, you were her angel!
That'll come back to you in spades. Well done.
Thank you Fred
"Elderly lady" - 74 years of age. That's 10 years away from me and "elderly" would be for someone in their 80s. That's cool to help her. I hope she finds a group to camp with in the future.
You're not there yet!!! :)
Lol...
Gilbert. Pre geezer here too. Funny how we age in steps....baby steps, trip and fall steps, steady steps, hop scotch steps, dance steps, long jumps, rat race- lotsa steps, side steps, steep climb up steps, missteps, back steps, faltering steps, careful steps, slower steps, deliberate steps, agonizing steps,assist-
ed steps, back steps to trip and fall steps
to final steps. No wonder Angels have to come for us. We have to sit down and rest on the last of a ton of steps.....sure hope there's an elevator for final destinat

Thank you for helping this woman you really came to her rescue. I’m sure she felt great relief and comfort that you were a gentleman. I’m sure also that made you feel good about yourself as well. Well you definitely deserve an ataboy. Keep up the good work. 🌹
Everything happens for a reason. God Bless.
Glad you were there to help her out. I can't imagine what that poor woman must've felt. She definitely needs a better vehicle and maybe a smaller rig, especially if she can't connect her trailer to her tow vehicle. You saved her!
GREAT JOB PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
Thank you for helping her-you may have saved her life. ❤️
Thank angel for the beautiful woman. Just saying you will be bless.
That was very kind of you...I will always answer a distress call, it's just those things that you do being a good human being!
Bless you Dave. God sends angels, when needed. That lady had you. You were her angel.
Karma comes in unexpected forms when we most need it. Been there and done that and yes it leaves a person with a great feeling of satisfaction to easily help desperate people.
God bless you. This to me was your spiritual awakening. 🙏

Good on you dude!! This is the way we should all treat each other out there in the world. Travelers through life.
A Boy and his Dog Lefty to the rescue....
Thank you so very much for helping that lady!!!
Thank goodness you were able to help this woman!
God bless you for helping her. God put you in the right place at the right time. Prayers for she and you. 💪🙏💖
I speak a bit of pooch, what Lefty said was "She's too old to be out alone, it was nice of you to lend a paw." and he's right, well, mostly left. Thanks for sharing!
Multilingual!! Thank you!
How clever! : )

Thank you June 😊
A winch is on my list!! Its a long list....
You did a wonderful thing David, helping that lady. I can just imagine her anxiety, being alone and stranded. I will leave you with a favorite quote of mine from the late Dr Leo Buscaglia in honor of Dr Love and your gracious act of kindness.
"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
Leo Buscaglia
I'm so glad you helped her. I wonder if she might have had help sooner if she'd honked her horn with the SOS message to alert folks within earshot. No judging her - just wondering if she gave that a try or thought of it.
Prayers work 🙏🏼✝️
This is a case of divine intervention. Well done!
