How to replace the PASSENGER SEAT in your van | Ford Transit Connect Van Conversion

- Today I replace the stock passenger seat in my Transit Connect xlt by modifying the feet to match the mounting holes beneath. The original seat has no means of adjustment (rake, leg room etc). Standing at 6'2", utilising the available space efficiently is pivotal. The new seat allows for much greater freedom in this regard. The Mk1 Connect is unique amongst Ford vehicles in that it doesn't share a common design for mounting seats so I couldn't just plonk a Focus seat in for instance. I'm pretty happy with the end result!

Nice rebiuld but why didnt you get the base from your old seat its only four bould 12 and four bold torx 50 at did the same on the other seat
The old seat is one of those weird folding ones that has no runners for sliding the seat back and forth. Have a look in the video description - I go into a bit more detail there :)
@@AtypicalWorkshop i just started renovating my connect van too. Started today fitting in bucket/racing seats and its a pain in the ass :) need to make new plates because the connectiins are wider.
Why did you have to replace the seat... ?
The original seat had no forward/backward adjustment :( If you check out the series intro video you’ll see why seat adjustment is so important! :)

Yeah let me grab it for you! A word of warning though, even though their picture shows the smaller passenger seat, both are identical (to fit a regular seat if that makes sense?) There’s also no armrest cover supplied

Unfortunately they’re out of stock but I’ll see if I can find the website that I found them on as well

They’re double the price on this website but it’s the same company on the eBay listing. My guess is that the ones I received were only £60 because the passenger seat was a mismatch. They have a returns policy so it’s worth a shot I reckon!
