EPIC FAIL! The Freight Elevator Gets Stuck! Dover Hydraulic Freight Elevator @ Manter Hall - UNL

(Filmed on 8/22/19 w/ Star City Elevators). Ugh. I’ve been meaning to upload this for quite along time now but work and family stuff have made me not been wanting to upload videos for some reason. But I promise I will try to get back into the swing of things. So the story here is we did another camera swap. SCE took my camera so he could film the freight elevator for me. As he descended up, it stalled up stairs. I was like aw crap when I heard the bell ring and him say that this is not good. My adrenaline kicked in and I went up to where he was stuck. I knew the bell had something to do with the doors. I immediately went down to the floor he got on originally, forcefully pushed them shut to ensure they were closed all the way, not sure why they weren’t, then he manage to safely transfer to the next level without any issues. All in all, I’m glad they we were able to get him out safely, and avoid getting into contact or face any legal issues with building management, campus personnel, and/or security.

Those are two different bells in that elevator. The alarm bell and the bell that rings when he kept pressing the button are two different sounding bells. Glad he got out safely.

You should’ve opened the gate and disengage the interlock on the outer doors to get off the elevator

I think something tripped the interlock on the first floor. It wouldn't have moved if it didn't fully close the first time. Also, the elevator just passed 2 going up and I pressed floor 2 to get out, so it went down, but that's a fairly minor detail.
I have not been on this elevator since in case this situation happens again and I'm by myself.
