The horse head and what he said before he pulled off the cover is the best bit in this whole series. Unbelievably clever. Alex was truly shocked, I love Alex's genuine reactions. and the, "he like jaws!" is second.
Yeah, honestly. And as I watched this show, I was so constantly struck by perfect they are for each other. I've watched a lot of WILTY so I (in a parasocial way) know David well, but getting to know Victoria through this made it obvious that there genuinely are perfect matches out there
@@DogNamedWatson Right, I just keep thinking of how perfect they are for each other-- I can really imagine him being so proud watching her prize task pitches hahaha
I enjoyed every season as much as the last one, but I have to say: the Series 12 cast is probably my favourite. Guz' unwavering happy-go-lucky attitude contrasting Victoria's careful-graceful posture that rapidly dwindled into frantic madness; Alan's old man energy against Desiree's no-holding-back; top it all off with the absolute wildcard that is Morgana - probably the best entertainment of the last couple years.
I was like "wait but that's easy right, why are they struggling so much" Then it turned out Desiree was my people whomst definitely didn't develop that skill the same way
That felt like a fairly easy task though... anybody who's had to share a water bottle or any drink from the same container (without touching mouth to container) should be able to do it.
All I could think in task was that Indians would have nailed it. To avoid contamination, when sharing drinks some of us drink like that to the point it's natural, just like for desiree

The best series for a long while, they gelled so well together. It seems that Victoria feels bad about her prizes and tasks, but I think that she did great with the game and was a good sport overall. Her morals and intelligence did shine through often, despite the majority of tasks needing other random skills, and her first time riding a bike was wholesome. I'll really miss this cast, and I wish them the best!

@@TheJubess I think the cast of season 11 is even more lovable. I also think the cast of season 7, if more on the mischievous side, is still the best cast ever. And season 5's cast is pretty fantastic too if only for the Nish and Mark budding friendship that fully peaks in the last episode. On top of that season 5 and 7 (and 4 and 9 which are pretty great too) have the benefit of having better/simpler tasks, in the latter seasons they sometimes tend to become too complicated, the earlier seasons had a lot of simple and wide open tasks that left more space for creativity and lateral thinking. So bottom line, you still have a lot to enjoy left !
@@cleodello I'm not sure what you mean with your comment, it doesn't refer to what I said. I was replying to someone saying that you're "Alpha" when someone takes your name, which implies that people who take their spouses names (overwhelmingly women) are subjugated.
@@nekonesto5601 This is actually how it works though. I don't think less of someone who takes their spouses name but the tradition of a woman changing her last name to her husband's represents that her identity is less important to society. The tradition started back when woman weren't even treated as independent people, they had to be under the ownership/authority of a man. It's the same reason why men had to ask a woman's father for permission to marry her. The name change was an official way to represent the transfer of control. It no longer means that now but it definitely still has negative connotations
Alan's facial expressions in the studio task & Morgana's "dance" in the third task were the most delightful moments in the whole season. I wanted Guz to become series champion, but Morgana deserved her win every bit. (And now I'm really sad Mike Wozniak did not win s11, because it would've been such a treat to watch him & Morgana together in CoC.)
that was probably my favourite lineup so far - sure individual previous contestants might have been better, but this was the most enjoyable full lineup - and I only knew Victoria and Alan beforehand
This has quickly become one of my top favourite series along with the 7th one (with James Acaster) and the 4th one (with Noel Fielding and the rest). Great cast, great laughs... amazing! Also, the steampunk theme in this one is sooo good! Thank you for sharing the episodes with us.
Alex cheerfully agreeing with Guz - "It *is* a long-ass day!" - is just as hilarious to me as when he cheerfully agreed with Iain Stirling - "They were *all* gawonga!"
When Victoria was explaining how difficult she felt to even pretend to be proposing you could see how pleased, sympathetic and almost protective Alex, Desiree, Gus and even Greg were. It looked like they admired her purity I can't really explain it well in words but I think everyone understands
This was a blast to watch, from episode 1 to 10. We didn't even have 1 moment where someone contested somebody else's point I believe, for the whole season? They showed great sportsmanship: not shooting in other people's feet, while still (mostly) trying their best. Maybe that was partly because of how the tasks were crafted, but definitely also thanks to the great choice of contestants.
Another phenomenal series. I was super impressed with the range of the final stage task this series - the balloon darts, the duck on the rope, this noise guessing game - so much tension in every game! Excellent job to the cast and the production team - everyone's firing on all cylinders! 😁
Damn what a great ending for a great Series. Victoria, the smart girl who is just a bit confused at dumb tasks for dumb people and you just wann tell her through the screen that its fine. Alan, the absolute Joker of the group who knows what he can get away with but still surprises with absolute lunacy. Desirée, the one you think is going to be stuck up but she is the funny party girl who you just love to be around in the right combination of crazy and smart. Guz, the bro. The one who is always vibing with everyone and who just wants people to have a great time and succeeds with that. And of course Morgana, the wildcard. Absolute lunacy at every point in time but so entertaining and endearing that you cant help but smile. Great Cast as always mr. Little alex horne. Well done.
Victoria, who learned how to ride a bike in just 5 minutes Alan, the Dad of the nation, just happy to be there and absolute delight to watch Desiree, who came into the lab and ate some sand because she just needed to know if it was sugar or not Morgana, one of the most energetic contestants ever. No matter the task, she doesn't spend a lot of time thinking, she just goes right at it And then Guz, the most quotable guy (save for Mike Wozniak). I often find myself thinking: "This is not sensible, brother!"
Probably my favourite cast since S7, all of them were just totally brilliant from beginning to end. The chemistry between everyone was fantastic. Was hoping Desiree would pull out the win, but literally any ending would've been satisfying because they've all been so fun to watch throughout. And that final task... one for the books. So simple in concept, and yet so unreasonably funny. Congrats to Morgana! Well deserved.

I loved this entire cast so much, specially Guz and Victoria. I genuinely couldn't care less about who won or who lost, I just wanted to see them perform together. One of my favorite seasons by far.
This season might actually be the best one so far. It only lacked a live audience but it didn't really matter in the end. I think some of the live tasks this season, especially this one, wouldn't have been enjoyable with a live audience.
"We're also expecting the second Champion of Champions special, which has already been filmed, to air soon. It will feature Liza Tarbuck, Kerry Godliman, Lou Sanders, Ed Gamble and Richard Herring, who won series 6 to 10 respectively."
I'd guess David Mitchell and Victoria don't watch everything each other does just cause of the sheer volume of it all, but I really hope he saw the proposal task at some point. If I saw someone speaking about me the way Victoria speaks about David in the studio, my heart would absolutely melt.
I was howling with laughter over the proposals, then Victoria came in and explained the pain that a joke proposal brought her because of how much she adores her husband and I started tearing up a bit. Makes you want to believe in love again 🤧 Morgana won the series in terms of points, but Victoria won the series for me in terms of favourite participants!
Fun fact: with this episode, Victoria set the record for most last-place episode finishes, coming lasting 7 out of 10 of them. The episodes she didn't come in last were 4 (2nd), 5 (4th) and 7 (1st). She has the second highest ratio of last-place episodes, after Nish who lost 6 out of his 8 (mostly since they only had 8 episodes in his series as opposed to 10)
We all know why Morgana won cause of that bonus point she got in the first episode calling Alex a ****** 🤣🤣🤣 but I wanted her to win from the start or Guz

Ive never genuinely cry laughed at anything on this show but that was absolutely amazing, im still laughing and crying right now
I am currently in a hotel room on a business trip, watching this in bed and I genuinely rolled around crying with laughter for a good five minutes rewatching it. I had a big meal, I was afraid I was going to have a heart attack. Absolutely hilarious stuff.
The horse head and what he said before he pulled off the cover is the best bit in this whole series. Unbelievably clever. Alex was truly shocked, I love Alex's genuine reactions. and the, "he like jaws!" is second.
This episode is perfection from start to finish. Will miss this cast dearly
There is something about hearing how much David and Victoria love each other that really makes me happy
Holy shit I almost passed out of laughter with Alan's Wow monster scream. I'm gonna miss these folks.
The cut from Morgana drinking with her mouth wide open, to Alan just drinking normally was way funnier than i expected
Also Desiree showing unusually useful talents was quite the unexpected joy!
Victoria finally breaking and flipping Greg off in that final task is absolutely hilarious
Desiree had to be good fun in college. That definitely-not-alcoholic-beverage drinking skill is great.
I was like "wait but that's easy right, why are they struggling so much"
Then it turned out Desiree was my people whomst definitely didn't develop that skill the same way
That felt like a fairly easy task though... anybody who's had to share a water bottle or any drink from the same container (without touching mouth to container) should be able to do it.
@@mmmgoes all they had to do was drink normally, if the glass is in the way, their mouth couldn't have been closed
All I could think in task was that Indians would have nailed it. To avoid contamination, when sharing drinks some of us drink like that to the point it's natural, just like for desiree
I challenge you to try it! just drinking from a glass your mouth has to be open anyway, it's just the final gulp I found difficult!
So to recap, Victoria is Old Goosebump Arm, Alan is Chicken Bringer, Morgana is Dome Hugger, and Greg is Uncle Minpict. Got it.
I laughed so hard during the last task, I'll miss Alan so much!
It somehow reminded me of the stage task where Hugh Dennis (good ol' Deskie) whipped about his belt.
@@maikenelissen3767 True, Deskie with the belt is pure gold, and this is another instant classic
@@sciain I expected Hugh to do something like that. I read about Alan doing something remarkable, but no way I would've ever expected him to do _that!_ 🤣
Only Guz seemed to see it coming from a mile off ;)
@@maikenelissen3767 Deskie, I needed to be reminded of that without knowing it. ty
👍
Did he die?
victoria's "i want to weep" was such perfect comedic timing and delivery
You can tell Guz is legitimately happy however the results ended up being based on his dance in the end. (45:24)
The way he finger gunned Morgana the moment he learned he didn't win but she did was awesome.
Alan Davies' scream in the live task made me cry laughing AND fall from my couch, honestly amazing
They all seemed to enjoy each others company, the most adorable and loveliest cast
Victoria negotiating her proposal is so on brand 😂
closing your eyes during the studio task and playing along is incredibly fun
oh i wished i was smart enough :(
@@nhattuyenvodieu3103 Yeah, I need to rely on my crappy memory and get back in few months.
@@Lark1610 me too. unfortunally, i don´t think i can ever forget Alan monster noyse
Just make sure you watch it again because the reactions are incredible.
Damn, I wish I'd thought of that!
Congratulations Morgana, the only Morgana they will ever allow on the show! The real winner was Alan's final noise. Old goosebump arms won my heart, though
"I don't have a gag reflex" got me. Definitely got me.
At first I thought it was a joke on Alex's revolting personality... But now you got me thinking >_>
Adding that to how she nailed that drinking task... :)
Alan Davies facing the Taskmaster's back and screaming into the middle-distance is now the best thing I've seen 41:17
That studio task was the hardest I've laughed in ages
The best series for a long while, they gelled so well together.
It seems that Victoria feels bad about her prizes and tasks, but I think that she did great with the game and was a good sport overall. Her morals and intelligence did shine through often, despite the majority of tasks needing other random skills, and her first time riding a bike was wholesome.
I'll really miss this cast, and I wish them the best!
I genuinely, hand on heart, after 12 series and some specials of this show, adore this crew of participants the most 😍
I just found out this show (I'm not British) and I totally love it to bits. It saddens me to read it can only go down hill from here. I'll probably watch them all anyway
@@TheJubess same here mate 🙋😄
@@TheJubess you`ll enjoy the others just the same, don`t worry. Every season is absolutely worth watching.
@@TheJubess don't worry. every season we got to know them and easily fall in love. I'm from Brazil and I watch it since the first season (thanks to reddit). every season is just great, even the first one when they were kinda putting the show together. You really don't have to worry at all! ;) Cheers!
It was extremely alpha of Victoria to make Alex take her maiden surname, while still keeping her existing husband's name.
All this comment does is show what low opinion you have of women taking their partner's name.
@@nekonesto5601Huh? She literally kept her husband's name, because she loves him...?
That one bonus point from Episode 1 was crucial! Congratulations to everyone for an EXCEPTIONAL SERIES.
Looking forward to Series 13.
But first the CoC special.
Guz wouldve been a great champion of champions but Morgana has a great energy to her as well, i do hope they bring her back for champions of champions
that was probably my favourite lineup so far - sure individual previous contestants might have been better, but this was the most enjoyable full lineup - and I only knew Victoria and Alan beforehand
Alan’s noise and everyone losing it literally had me in tears 😭
This has quickly become one of my top favourite series along with the 7th one (with James Acaster) and the 4th one (with Noel Fielding and the rest). Great cast, great laughs... amazing! Also, the steampunk theme in this one is sooo good! Thank you for sharing the episodes with us.
This one, the 7th and the 4th are my favorite too
7 is something else. Every single contestant in 7 would be the "crazy one" in any other series!
I actually have a love and hate relationship with Series 4 just because I felt that Greg favors Noel more than the other contestants in that series.
The series with Joe Wilkinson and Jon Richardson has to be up there to and the nish kumar and Mark Watson series
Same for me, and I loved the one with Katherine Parkinson as well :D
Alex cheerfully agreeing with Guz - "It *is* a long-ass day!" - is just as hilarious to me as when he cheerfully agreed with Iain Stirling - "They were *all* gawonga!"
I was just thinking about Iain's cano disaster and beatboxing but I don't remember gawonga??
When Victoria was explaining how difficult she felt to even pretend to be proposing you could see how pleased, sympathetic and almost protective Alex, Desiree, Gus and even Greg were. It looked like they admired her purity
I can't really explain it well in words but I think everyone understands
So glad Morgana won. Just loved this cast. Victoria's nervousness about the proposal task: beautiful and touching.
One of the best cast from recent times. Will dearly miss them all ❤️
What an amazing cast was this!
Victoria takes it for me, someone so genuinely smart doing so bad in such a funny and adorable way is perfect
If only they had seen Iain Stirling's classic "boots and cats" for the beatbox task...
Yes I also remembered his "Boots-and-Cats" thing!
Was yelling it at the screen lol!
That was my first thought as well!
3 out of 5 of them claimed to have ever watched the show beforehand so it's unlikely but yeah, that would have helped them a lot
Alan: *talks about a floppy surprise *
Me who remembers Noel and his woollen doll from series 4: 😏
the way Morgana just drops to the floor after Alan's noise was incredible
It feels like this series began yesterday
Alans hoodie with the word dignity on it while he was drinking in the most undignified way was great!
I've replayed the final task twice now and I'm crying with laughter. What a brilliant series!
Me too. Once looking at the screen and once without
Can we all agree this was the best series of TM yet. I cried of laughter so many times
I genuinely adored this series and it's contestants, very wholesome.
Well done.
I'd like to note Morgana's absolute commitment to tasks, she's the type of contestant this show always desperately needs!
Victoria, who learned how to ride a bike in just 5 minutes
Alan, the Dad of the nation, just happy to be there and absolute delight to watch
Desiree, who came into the lab and ate some sand because she just needed to know if it was sugar or not
Morgana, one of the most energetic contestants ever. No matter the task, she doesn't spend a lot of time thinking, she just goes right at it
And then Guz, the most quotable guy (save for Mike Wozniak). I often find myself thinking: "This is not sensible, brother!"
@@wohlhabendermanager I had forgotten about the sand tasting and I'm now laughing about it again hahahahah
I like that Alan's "Wow!" made everyone slowly collapse with laughter.
One of the top 5 best series the show has ever done. I loved them. I loved them all. Such a wholesome, endearing, irresistably charming cast. This series finale was nothing short of dynamite. Alan's monster yell nearly made me dizzy with laughter. In the end, Morgana was the deserved winner and an absolute revelation of a contestant from start to finish, she's so boss. Thank you Greg & Alex, thank you taskmaster for another incredible series. Onto Champion of Champions II & Series 13!!
Yes Morgana is such a revelation!
So hope she'll be invited everywhere now!
I somehow never realized that the Mitchell in Victoria's last name was the same as in David Mitchell. Now everything makes so much more sense, they're perfect for each other.
you understand that she took his name right?
@@mattkirk100 You understand that that was what the OP said, right?
@@Tao_Tology It's a very good question! I'm surprised I wrote that.. I'm not the kind of person to write those types of comments. Well called out! Sorry OP, was clearly being a dick
@@mattkirk100 Kid, when you're older you are going to look back at moments like these are realise "Oh. _I_ was the one being a dick"
I suspect that moment will be a long time ahead.
@@Tao_Tology To be fair, that is exactly what I just wrote above in my reply to you.
Victoria was my absolute favourite and I do agree this was the cutest cast we've had, they're all so good with each other
That final task was the first in a LONG damn time that actually had me out loud cackling, normally I'm very amused, I might chuckle a little from time to time but I was full on dying with laughter on the final task. This was such a good season, a real winner especially since the last few seasons have been a little... weak
Alan choosing to wear a sweatshirt that says dignity really has been a beautiful thing throughout the series
came for Victoria, totaly fell for Morgana..what a gorgeous lunatic she is..
Yes, a perfect description, a gorgeous lunatic!
Fell in love with Charlotte during the last series, did it all again with Morgana this time around.
I'm so glad that Greg could be an active part of the task in the finale. He added spice to an already amazing ensemble.
This was such a lovely series, I always watch with my 70 y/o mother (because it's nice to have something to watch together. We got little in common so to be able to sit down and watch our weekly Taskmaster together is such a joy) and we both agreed that this was one of the best series. Great cast! We weren't so keen on 2 of the previous contestants the past two series, so it's been joyous to have a fully wholesome crew again. I wouldn't mind if you guys made another series with this same cast! ;) Victoria, Alan, Desiree, Guz, Morgana, Greg and Alex - Thank you!
As much as I love this whole cast, I think I'm going to miss Old Goosbumps Arm and Uncle Minpin's interactions the most.
Probably one of the best studio tasks ever 🤣🤣
My wife and I discovered the show early covid.
Every episode later, I really have to say thank you to everyone involved. I really appreciate it.
Every thing about this series was FANTASTIC!
I will miss the cast dearly. Thanks to everyone involved to make this awesome show.
I loved this entire cast so much, specially Guz and Victoria. I genuinely couldn't care less about who won or who lost, I just wanted to see them perform together. One of my favorite seasons by far.
I need more Victoria in my life. Her sense of humor is amazing.
one of the bestest lineups, the friendship between morgana, desiree and guz is too wholesome
Jesus Christ the chaos
I'd guess David Mitchell and Victoria don't watch everything each other does just cause of the sheer volume of it all, but I really hope he saw the proposal task at some point. If I saw someone speaking about me the way Victoria speaks about David in the studio, my heart would absolutely melt.
41:50
The expression on Alex's face is a mixture of all emotions😂😂😂.
I need all of them back immediately! Best cast yet.
I'm genuinely sad it's over.
Yes. A strange sad nostalgic feeling already!
I'm the same every single time.
"BRING THEM BACK!"
"This new lot are just as funny..."
"BRING THEM BACK!"
Very strong season but this is the best episode of this series and easily one of my top 10 of the whole show.
That final studio task nearly broke me. I was in stitches. Absolutely adored this series and this cast!
