Mawaan’s question about having night time cameras made me realize that they COULD have had night vision cameras set up. But instead, the producers or whoever made the decision, decided to just record a pitch black room and only add in the players’ voices. Which is such a genius move because that is much funnier, I think, than showing the audience everything. It would have been easy to look at this task and think, “It’d be quite boring to have no visuals for 8 minutes” or however long it’s dark. But they had the foresight to know that it would be funnier with the audience being just as blind as the players. Well done

This season's humor is so... chill. All seasons are very funny, but the "kind" of humor is always different. The famous Acaster season was funny because it was pure chaos. This season is funny because it's really chill.
I love it, keep it up!
The 10th series and they have all been so different - and all brilliant. Its the best programme on TV IMO.
Yeah. It’s exactly what the pandemic humor is supposed to be: devil-may-care and chill fun.
It’s totally dependent on the cast, right? The series before this had a lot of chaos too! Episode 9’s live task immediately comes to mind! 😅
big time! i think the lack of studio audience made them make jokes just for themselves and less playing to an audience, which makes it so much more chill. its lovely
OMG when Alex horn tries to hide his laughter when Catherine’s shoe hits the floor. He’s got to stay in character LOL
You know how there's always "the one who's consistently really bad at this" each series? The classic Roisin Conaty/Nish Kumar/Phil Wang spot in the roster?
Did not predict Katherine Parkinson being that person this series.
I think they all are a bit, which is why this season is great!
@@CelineRazavi Yes. Whoever wins this series will get crushed by Lou Saunders or Ed Gamble in the champs of champs.
except Katharine won the second episode with 19 points
there is no predicting anything. Mawaan could have a clean sweep episode (like Joe Thomas almost did).
@@hellowhirled Could do. Daisy seems like the most competent of them and Johnny the most creative. But none of them seem particularly outstanding, which works just fine.
Really hopes she brings The Internet as her submission for one of the prize tasks.
Won’t be easy. The Elders of the Internet have to approve.
I was wondering who greg was talking about during an interview when he said that one of the contestant was not putting any effort in the object he/she bring in the first challenge, saying it feel like they take the first object they see at home and bring it, now I can say that without a doubt it is Daisy
I promised my boyfriend that we'd watch it together but I was a sneaky pasta snake for this once. Sorry, luv.
Honestly, this episode sealed the deal for me, this season is amazing. They are all uniquely funny and their approaches are amazing. If the virus didn't cause the audience problem, this season would've been 2x funnier. Katherine is just, unexpectedly inept and it's so entertaining to watch and she's just adorable. The way she asks "Where is the shoe?" when it's in Alex's hand, I mean, incredible. Vegas, on the other hand, is just plain funny. It's like watching a 6 year old with a beard, he enjoys life and occasionally falls down a ladder.
Katherine shouting "box box box" has the same energy as Asim Chowdary shouting "H H its an H"

Little Alex Horn Saved 2020
The most joyous thing in the world is when Alex smiles. It's just an expression of pure happiness. I love him so much.
As they talked about Katherine's catapult attempt I was laughing so hard that I started to wheeze. That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen!.
Katherine turning around expecting to see the shoe flying but Alex still had it in his hand every time, had me literally crying laughing
That Johnny upside bit had me in stitches!
It literally left me in awe. I loved it so much!
Oh man, every episode i just enjoyy Katherine more and more as a contestant. The way she goes about thinking and solving the task is just so out of the box from everybody's else. Too bad the outside of the box does not help her win the task but damn is it entertaining.
When someone says that "box" is close to the word you're supposed to be guessing, you do not say "box" repeatedly as if the word will change
Yeah, but Johnny gave him nothing else to work with. She had no info on where to take it.
I'm not saying it's Johnny's fault - it's not - but it's not Katherine's either. The fault solely likes with Daisy for masterfully destroying any possibility Johnny had of giving his teammates any more info.
pretty sure she kept saying box in the hopes that she could find a connection to the word that Johnny needed. "Box" was their only lead, and for sure the drawings got so unbelievably messed up, they really had no chance.
@@Ruminations09 Just spam things that have box in them. Shoebox, sandbox, cardboard box, lunchbox...
@@Kernel15 Very strange of you to assume "sandbox" would be your *second* choice.
Despite having "box" in its name, sandbox is fairly far removed from the word "box"
@@Ruminations09 "but Johnny gave him nothing else to work with. She had no info on where to take it."
What order I listed those words in isn't relevant - they're just examples. You said "she had no info", but didn't even try taking a stab in the dark at other types of boxes.
Sandbox might not have been my second, (maybe toolbox) but I'm pretty sure I'd mention it at least once.
Richard’s movie was absolutely brilliant! Wonderful editing!
Every episode I'm worried Daisy is gonna laugh herself into labor the way she keels over when she laughs 😂 i gotta be honest i love the cast this season
"If this were ancient Rome all of them would already be dead." is the perfect way to describe the series 10 cast and it's also the reason I love all 5 off them so much. There's no other series like 10. I found myself feeling sorry for each of them in their ineptness, at different times, but also rooting for each to have at least one moment of brilliance.
"You do if Stanley Kubrick wants a point" hahahaha
Greg Davies is so good!
"Box? Box? Box? Box? Box? Box?" Katherine practicing to be an F1 engineer
That upside down film from Katherine was great!
Richard's movie was great. He used the upside down concept perfectly. I still have no idea of wich way was up and down on that video.
I didn’t know Mawaan before this series but he is worming his way into my heart very quickly
What makes these episodes great are these are probably their first big social interactions in a while and they all find everything incredibly funny.
And Greg really notices which jokes land well and then elaborates on them to make the contestants die from laughter. It's great. 😁
If I was rich and had a giggle, I would have bought a half acre piece of worthless land on a mountain for the prize task.
Does this plot of land have a spring in it? Probably.
sounds like an Al Murray approach to that task :D
@@flusendieb6833 Al "Moneybags" Murray strikes again!
I want vegas to win this so much. The guy is an absolute gem.
He looks like the human version of a loyal old dog. Those sad eyes and voice makes me want to hug him!
And he's not a crook!
"My Hand's Aren't My Feet" are up there in Taskmaster's quote book with Phil Wang's "Your feet are the hands of your legs".
..I get the impression Alex is taking full advantage of Greg being unable to reach him this series.
Daisy May Coo-purr... 🤦🤦🤦
Mawaan's nails are so pretty :O
If only his hat was neon too, then the outfit would be complete
@JeremyK 541OR. Why’s that gross?
It matches his clothes perfectly
@JeremyK 541OR. Pffft... Jealous.
In episode 1, I began to develop a crush on Mawaan. The nails in this episode sealed my fate. Definite crush.
Daisy losing it and doing the full body squiggles has me crying laughing
Daisy’s baby brain thinking just kills me, that has to be the reason she cooked the spaghetti, not just sticking it in like everyone else
It's his neon nails for me!💛💅🏽
Me: "i could study for my test for tomorrow or i could watch the new taskmaster episode."
My brain: "You should probably study or-"
My heart: *clicks video*
Update: i did pretty well in my test :)
this ep will be block in about 5 hours so watch it now, well in the USA
Good luck on your test!
Hopefully there are questions on whether objects contain springs are not.
@@funyjoyappel thank youu!
@Michael Beglin thank youuu!
This really has moved into Covid distancing without losing any of it's fun. The mark of good comedy.
Johnny Vegas' upside-downism was fantastic. Absolute highlight.
'Had an accident at work that wasn't your fault?'
* *has an accident at work that was definitely his fault* *
I love Mawaans nails fitting perfectly with his outfit.
I wonder if they are plastic or real because they look beautiful
What a look
10:20ish greg missed a prime opportunity to make the joke "chindler's list"
Can't believe this episode isn't titled "Sneaky Pasta Snake" or "Less Gravitationally Fortunate".
OMG, that catapult task was incredible. Johnny Vegas broke a freaking ladder and yet was nowhere close to least competent competitor. Just gobsmacking.
We need to see the unedited version of Katherine's attempt at catapulting that shoe, it's straight in the top 3 funniest moments.
Greg's comedic timing on his 'Walking on the Ceiling' rant was spot on.
There's just something about Mawan that's so innocently charming and also witty cool. He's now one among my Taskmaster crushes alongside Nish & Mark (as they complete each other), Alice Levine, James Acaster, Sally Phillips, and Mel Giedroyc
when mawaan did that 'mic drop' thing, my immediate thought was: 'oh no, I'm attracted to him.'
edit: since I commented this I have come to learn that mawaan is gay, which in retrospect I should probably have guessed because no straight man has nails that good. cheers, mawaan.
You can be attracted to someone even if you will never have a shot with that person. ;)
Hell, I'm a lesbian, but that mic drop made me doubt it for a second.
Katherine Parkinson is amazing, I just can't stop laughing because of her !
“Kathrine, why do you think that would hurt?” was such a pointed and hilarious way of calling her out.
I wish I could’ve been there when Johnny Vegas suggested “Upside Down Syndrome”.
The joy on Alex’s face as he watches the final task he designed spiral into complete chaos with people scribbling madly on the papers.
why are there no infrared cameras for dark tasks?
Would be hilarious to see.
No, the surprise results were better. Who knew that Daisy's method would work?
The glow in the dark tape is pretty solid. Especially when they realize they are glowing stick people.
Katherine just repeating BOX with increasing desperation never fails to make me laugh so hard I get a stitch.
I must say, Mawaan's upside down mic drop was genius
Daisy choosing to just sabatoge the last drawing and still getting it right was beautiful. Shes chaotic and amazing in this episode.
I think Johnny started it lol
Mawaan has such millenial positive vibes to him. Love this
Don’t get why people use ‘millenials’ meaning the young kids ...i’m a millenial technically as it’s those born from 1981
@@broccolihighkicks3857 I didn't mean young kids, that is Gen Z now days, I meant millenials beacuse there are phrases and patterns of speech he uses that were used by millennial generation. It just reminds me of people my and his age. 🤷♀️
@@broccolihighkicks3857 he's literally a millennial though? he's a fair amount younger than the rest of the contestants + greg/alex and you can see the difference in how he approaches tasks. gen z is actual young kids - 1998ish and younger.
@@broccolihighkicks3857 28 years old he was... (so yes, a millenial, just about :D)
@@broccolihighkicks3857 People do misuse the word "millennial" a lot, usually when they want to blame us for something that some other generation did. Mawaan really is a millennial though, he just looks young for his age. I thought he was in his early 20s but he was born in 92 which is firmly within the millennial years
Laughed even harder than usual this episode. The upside down task, the catapult task and the stage task were all so amazing
I think this team is becoming one of my favorites... I don't think I've ever seen Greg or Alex laughing this much with another one lol
daisy cooking the noodles is my favorite roundabout solution to an already very straightforward task
Jesus Christ, that Katherine and Mawaan's catapult attempts was one of the most exhaaaausting things I think I've ever seen!
Katherine's one felt like it will have no end!
Invention after invention after invention!
God I feel exhaaausted from laughter and despaaaair!
Johnny Vegas seems to be a very lovely man.
I was getting some serious Roisin vibes from Katherine during that shoe task - "Alex, can you...?"
Also Johnny Vegas cracks me up!
I am getting more attracted to Katherine with every episode. It’s like I have opposite genetic survival instinct. The less likely to succeed at survival she gets, the more I love her. Keep it going sister!
i can't remember the last time i laughed as hard as during Katherines catapult task
Yes I feel so exhausted from laughter and despair!
Love how they gave Katherine googles because she was using elastic bands, but didn't bother give Mawaan a helmet as he was nearly smashing woodboard into his skull at every try
Johnny Vegas actually falls quite well he’s surprisingly coordinated and he keeps his head forward
I would have liked to know, who many strands of spaghetti were in the grapefruit. Should have gotten Josh Widdicombe in to count them.
Who else in a non sanctioned country was waiting for the upload to jump in before we are blocked out? 😂
Haha is this a thing? Beats a vpn honestly
Wich country?
Oh right here 👍. Hello from Texas!
I happened to catch the first episode before it was taken down. I hated having to take the “motion” 😉 I did to see episode 2, so I started checking every 15 minutes after I knew it had aired today. Totally worth it!!
Well done
