In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

I might actually argue that you can only just carry the bedding, not because of weight, but volume. That's almost so much of a thing to carry.

The juxtaposition of series 10 being so polite and helping each other for their first competitive task and series 11 immediately falling into a chaotic carnival game is everything I live for.

It´s only uncommon because online ad revenue is a joke.
Some TV shows in Brazil have been doing it, it’s pretty great. All seasons of our version of Marterchef are on UA-cam, for example.
This was a lifesaver over the last year.

I love how the person that was so afraid of the rat that they were afraid to pick up the task was the one who caught it with their own bare (okay gloved) hands in the end. A true hero’s journey.
This entertained me too! Especially because I feel like you can see her relief when she reads the part of the task that it must be at a distance (but clearly promptly forgets that)!

If you watch closely after the task is done, you'll see her pet it like a cat!
The look on Alex’s face while listening to Mike’s tune, because it’s exactly the sort of thing Alex would come up with
The final task of this episode with everyone destroying each other buckets is the exact opposite of the last serie first episode's final task with Katherine Parkinson giving her balls to Daisy May Cooper.
That last task had Nicola Coughlan "ANARCHY" energy.
Katherine's development from that to "Fuck off, I'm not telling you" was a joy to watch.

Lee Mack knocking everything off the stool is the funniest thing I've seen for a while
Lee Mack has the dexterity of Nish Kumar, but the complexion and tenure of Bob Mortimer, so he gets scored like the latter.

Never seen Mike Wozniak before. However, I imagine that his mustache grants wishes if you stroke it from east to west, and a hair of it can be used as a substitute for unicorn blood when preparing magical potions.

This show never fails to deliver a solid line-up every season. Already smitten with Charlotte, loving Jamali's combative energy in the studio, Lee's 'under the table' task had me in stitches, loving Mike's creativity and his costume is just hilariously casual, and Sarah is already striking me as the deadpan equivalent of 'Sally Phillips', and Phillips is one of my favourite contestants. Hats off to Alex, he knows how to pick 'em. That's the next 9 weeks sorted for excitement.

He got two points for it plus a bonus point later on
it was a way more impressive thing to do then makeup or making a sandwich and he did it perfectly. he got seriously screwed.
He definitely should have gone more points based on actual impressiveness, but his attitude about it brought him down. The judgement has almost always been solely at Greg's discretion, and he has knocked contestants down for giving him lip.

Wozniak's theme tune was surprisingly beautiful
Yes. Weirdly stylistically fitting with him, the notes of the TM theme tune, the balalaika, the Soviet theme.
All those things seem to come from one place.
Are we sure he's not been behind the curtains of TM all those years?
And resonates with Daisy May Cooper's facts about wasps from Series 10.
The first objects task was great:
:The bedding is difficult to carry because volume, not weight.
:The potato was difficult because temperature, not size.
:The children are hard to carry because the financial and emotional burden, not physical attributes.
:The tune is hard to carry because of lack of talent.
:and the fridge is hard to carry because people try to stop theft.

Watching Mike carry those plates on the hoverboard gave me so much anxiety
The last task was the kind of bloodyminded chaos we come to this show for. Comedians chucking pails around a studio and Charlotte absolutely nailing Wozniak's buckets were both brilliant. Glad miss by-the-book got her due in the end though, welcome back Taskmaster

On the painting it says "Creator of Tasks. Tasks are our duty."

In defense of Charlotte, depending how much bedding/ thick those covers were and how short her arms are, she could just barely hold them all in her arms. Should have brought more bedding!
True, I didn't think it was that bad. The problem is Greg's 50 feet tall and you have to play it towards him to get points
She failed to take the opportunity to defend her choice. And it was very defendable

1. Mike seems like a middle-aged Joe Thomas.
2. The bucket-stacking task is one of the best TM moments ever.

3. Mike's song references that a squashed wasp attracts people who tell you facts about wasps. In series 10, they talked about a dead wasp in one of the prize rounds, and Daisy May Cooper started giving them facts about wasps. So Woz knows what he's talking about.

Mike and Sarah both have really bizarre energy but in opposite directions. And I love it.
This had the wholesome season 5 everyone rooting for each other vibe. Even when they were destroying each other at the end, it was wholesome.
They were clearly having fun :) and those multicoloured towers...
Imo, the seasons are better when the people have fun in the show and are a bit chaotic, but good buds to each other.
Jamali wasn't 3m away from the rat, he should be disqualified from that task just like Charlotte! He touched it!

Maybe it's not that interesting bit, but words on that poster are "Задачи наша обязанность" (Tasks are our duty) and "Создатель задачи" (Task Creator).
While using same word "Задачи" in first phrase it means tasks (plural), but in second it's just single task. This is most likely a mistake by translation software which couldn't handle genitive case of a word "task", correct phrase should be "Создатель задач" (Tasks Creator).
I'm not really sure what they meant with "ТТТМ". It's supposed to be some abbreviation and you can see it not only on the poster with Greg, but also as a separate poster (on the left at 7:21).
@@ExinausI'm guessing "TTTM" is a funny take on "CCCP" which I guess some of us remember seeing on Soviet sports kits in the old days.
@@Exinaus I think "Создатель задачи" is an attempt to translate "Taskmaster" (which is hard to accurately translate in Russian in 2 words to fit into the painting)
Keeping with his character arc, of course Lee was going to try (unsuccessfully) to get rid of his children even before the first task proper had been read.
I haven't even finished the episode and I know I'm going to like Mike Wozniak the most this season.
I'm already taken with this entire cast.
Charlotte trying to teach herself coinwalking in 7 minutes and being scared of toy rat
Lee for just being Lee, but also that peanut butter sandwich catastrophe had me in tears
Jamali trying to be combative and just defeating himself
Sarah having quietly psychotic energy
And Mike clearly being the early frontrunner for season favorite.
Charlotte is immediately my favorite, but the rest of the cast is also lovely already. This'll be a good series, I can already tell.
Mark Watson and Charlotte have been the most adorably innocent contestants on the show.
Charlotte going "weeeee" on a scooter is the best thing I've seen today.

The studio task was fantastic. I really had to laugh when they started throwing buckets at each other's stacks
I love how the first stage task of Series 7 had Rhod be like "we should cooperate" and Phil being like "Exquisite idea good sir", while the first stage task of Series 11 is like "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE (Bonk)"
At first i was agreeing that bedding wasn't very good but thinking about it it can be very awkward holding loads of it. Hopefully Charlotte stands up to Greg more and argues her case, those little 1 point here 1 point there wins really add up.

I’m sorry Lee Mack stans who are hoping for a Lee Mack victory but I have a feeling Mike or Sarah will win this series. Mike seemed really smart and methodical, and Sarah reminds me so much of the series 7 bosh queen.

A part of me wants to watch this in 1 minute increments over the week to savour it as much as possible.
I don't know why but I was so impressed when Alex said he had tried spinning a pillow and Greg then tested it himself. IT shows respect.
My favourite part of the show is when Sarah so politely first *apologizing* that she's not visually funny enough for a light entertainment show, then *thanking* the crew for montaging her with Lee.
Aah such a sweetheart.
P.S. Then stealing a road sign and a fridge.

In the last task we found out everyone is very in touch with their inner toddler and I am delighted about what this means for the remainder of the series. I love just how much fun they were having while sabotaging one another
whoever added the dramatic music to Mike Wozniak's task at 37:00 please know that I laughed so hard I cried
Don't think I've seen Mike around much, but he's shaping up to be a gem of the show!
