To answer Jun's question, that's a type of plasmodium slime mold. They've been known for forming all sorts of complex networks with their little tendrils to find food, and have even been likened by scientist to "foraging" for plant matter.

Those wooden tiles need little “spacers” below them so that water can drain properly. This will reduce the risk of fungi/mold growing beneath them (may cause allergies) and the wood will last longer.

No problem. And please make sure that every concrete/floor screed surface on a balcony or terrace has a very slight slope so that water is guided away from the house.
May sound obvious but I just had a case in the family where a construction company made the surfaces absolutely level, water formed a big puddle beneath the boards and got into the house that way 😭

This was so CUTE! You clearly had fun editing this one, with the 'fungus' clips and the 'universe beneath our feet' and all the dramatic music and Jun shouting "Fire!!" XD
Funnily enough, this project is basically EXACTLY what me and my mom did with OUR deck in the summer of 2019! We have the exact same IKEA product, the snap-together decking tiles, just a bit smaller at four slats. We made even MORE work for ourselves than you did, we also sanded the wood slats down to make the stain stick better, AND we sprayed them all with a clear-coat afterwards so that we would never have to do all that work again! Aaaaaand then we didn't put the tiles out this summer! :P It truly is an OUTRAGEOUS amount of work! Mad respect for doing that!
The video's content and the sponsor - cleaning!! - mesh really well together, and I'm happy for you that the stars aligned and you were able to do two things at once; clean up the balcony before moving to your new house, & get the money from a sponsored video to help you PAY for you new house! XD
Love your updates, glad to hear Jun got vaxxed, and here's hoping for smooth sailing during your move! (peace sign emoji)

for the cat water fountain thing. To prevent it from getting slimy and collecting bacteria. You can get a copper coin. Not a newer zinc penny with other metals. Since copper is self-disinfecting. The water will stay clean and it won’t be slimy!
If your penny has a date before 1982, it is made of 95% copper. If the date is 1983 or later, it is made of 97.5% zinc and plated with a thin copper coating.
