Like every manufacturer, Honda has been inserting the retro motorcycle styling into every bike they can. The "Neo-Sports Cafe" is a re-imagining of what it means to be a retro/naked/modern motorcycle. I know, it's confusing, so just forget about it. This is the 2019 Honda CB1000R, the 2nd year of the redesigned naked 1000 honda. So, is it a good bike or not? Cuz looks are subjective. Well, honestly a lot about liking a bike or not is subjective, but you get what I'm saying. I hope...

The reason you love this bike so much, despite it costing more, is what I like to call the Honda difference. Their bikes are always the most expensive for their class, but you can only feel that difference when you ride it. Yes, I am a total Honda fanboy.

These bikes have been on my "to try" list since they came out with the previous generation, and now this new one is even prettier. Haven't had the chance yet, but still looking forward to try it. I used to have a Honda 919 beforehand and it was a blast to ride around. I enjoyed riding that bike quite a lot. Super smooth, comfortable, stripped down. Loved it. Great video

I have one of these bikes in the UK. I have the plus model that has the quick shifter and it makes the gear changes so much more exciting. It loves to try and wheelie as you gun it through 1st and 2nd. I agree with other comments about the exhaust and it is one of the things that I would change on the bike. If you have a chance to ride one find a twisty back road to find out what the bike can really do, it is where the bike comes to life.

I own one just like the one you are riding on plus adding a Yoshimura Alpha can on it........love my bike.
Standard mode is the all around riding mode from my experience and it is what I see from most of the intel I have gleaned about the bike on the net.
I got a Honda Discount on mine of $2000 by waiting it out after I test rode this bike in 2018 but did not go for it. That worked out by waiting I saved some $ on the year old model when I bought it in 2020.
I also own 2015 Honda VFR800DLX....... w/SC Project Conic can..... I love the sound of the V4 and especially the burbles during engine braking. :)
46th year of riding..... ride defensively.
    Cheers

    bit late, but still.
Got the new CB1000R Black Edition. It has the quickshifter+blipper attached and also just feels great overall. I really like the build quality, the sound, the engine, etc. I think they adjusted the mapping of the engine, so it doesn´t have this slight torque plateau at 5-6k rpm anymore. Also the updated TFT screen looks nice, tho i´m kinda pissed they didn´t add android car/navigational features into it. It just has indicating arrows for navigation, but you can´t display a map.
