    Ivd been window cleaning 40 years 25 with pole system I’ve come to the same conclusion as you I only use SLX and over 8 40ft I do prefer my SLX with the 4 fan jet brush! … I need a new daily pole I’m thinking SLX I just checked when i bought my last 35ft It was 2019 so it’s more than paid for itself. I did replace end 2 sections 18 months ago . I don’t normally look at window cleaning reviews as I feel I forget more about it than most window cleaners know 🤣 but I totally respect your opinion and can tell you know what you’re talking about. Enjoyed the video 👍👏👏👏

    Used an Gardiner 18clx and a 35slx for years. But recently bought a Phantom 25 & 40 hi mod. The clamps are a game changer. And they’re so light. Bloody pricey though!! Use a Gardiner 35cms extreme dupont brush with fan jets a swivel head and the pole uses a univalve and tubeless kit. Taken a few years and a lot of trial and error but finally think I’m there!!

    My SLX broke last week. Can't afford a new one at the moment so I'm using my CLX, but once I'm able I'll be ordering the standard carbon Ova 8 I think. I too suffer with tennis elbow and achy hands and I also put it down to using a swivel. You definitely grip harder and over compensate by holding the pole at awkward angles, rather than just trying moving yourself a little bit and cleaning as normal.

    Thanks Dave, spurred me on to keep saving for a ova8! I've got an ancient slx35 in the van, still use it on the taller stuff. I've also got a ionics hydra 24, really light pole, it does take a gardiner gooseneck and I've got xline brushes on it! Xline 35cm dupont with rinse bar, heavier than gardiners but a much better brush! Just got a xline 26cm flocked with brass fan jets, awesome rinse!
    Keep up the good work buddy! 💪🏻

    Good video Dave,we supply poles in South Africa from the Chinese company that supplies Streamline. We are still selling the round poles in Hybrid, 30T carbon and 30/40 carbon with V3 clamps. The oval we have been offered but unfortunately there quite a bit more expensive especially when buying in Rands. We have a shipment due in October and going to get then to include one to try.

  • @mazman8343
    @mazman8343 Рік тому +1

    Hi David question I'm thinking of getting a new pole a 22ft that can be a 18ft by removing a section slx you can do this with can you add or remove sections to the ova 8 . I'm still using the old fibreglass poles so heavy

    • @squeakycleandave1
      @squeakycleandave1  Рік тому

      Whichever pole you get as long as it’s full carbon you will see a massive difference and you will wish you had done it sooner.
      You can remove the bottom section but it’s recommended that you don’t. Only the bottom section is insulated in case you touch a power cable and and canon fibre is highly conducive whereas fibreglass doesn’t conduct electric at all

    • @squeakycleandave1

      @@cmkservices the problem is that a uni valve is wider then the 1st section so they have made the 1st section is much shorter then the rest so that the uni valve can sit below it. Someone did come up with a 3D printed one but it just didn’t work well and you had to sand the sides off the univalve to get it to fit in the pole.
