I bought a Radial brush years ago with the interchangeable bristles in the middle aswell, it was very good, fast but quite heavy & cleaned very well , full on sea gull poo gone, they sheet brilliantly. Think I'll invest on this again. Videos are class dave nice 1
Did the same last week 😂😂

Hi Dave, Why do you spray the street after injecting chemicals? We leave it there and the rain does the cleaning process. We do rinse facades.

Dave I would walk away uninsulated lines very similar lay out to what got me. Stay safe Dave and have a happy new year 🎉 Kind regards Jason Knight 👍
Good evening dave.why are you.using a 30 amp fuse in your plug?im using a 13 amp fuse in my plug.wont a 30 amp fuse be dangerous? I switched my heater element on at 6 this morning until @ 10 a.m. the water was@ 25c.its gonna take me a few days to dial it in on how many hours to heat my r.o. water??? Obviously i want to save money and not just leave it on constantly.i still need to wrap my tank with foil insulation to keep the heat in.
@@PatrickPhippard the insulation makes a massive difference
@squeakycleandave1 why are you using a 30 amp fuse for in your plug?2.5 mm cable is rated for a 13 amp fuse in thought?
You can’t put the price on customers trust brother, well done
Thank you...!
How many litres is your tank? How long does it take to heat up your tank?I installed my heater element today in a 350 litre upright tank.its@ 9 degrees outside and I have the setting on the immersion heater coil on high.
@@PatrickPhippard mines a 600 litre tank and I leave it on over night. If you haven’t got the immersion heater at the bottom of the tank you may get cold spots
Those will save a load of elbow and shoulder grease.
Great advice Dave. I just ordered 2 new poles from Gardiner as mine are slipping now and the clamps keep coming loose and I'm constantly supergluing them. Will definitely look after my 2 new poles better and fit those shock absorbers. Many thanks!
I worked for British Rail as a track man before it was privatised, The over head cables have a jump of at least 10 meters or more. Risk assesments were carried out to avoid any risk to life. Its sad that this has happened and I wish you all the best for the future and stay strong in your recovery.
Yes, it is. It is a double insulated cable.. At the beginning of this year, I did risk assessments on all our customers properties re. Cables & Power Lines in close proximity ! I would strongly advise any window cleaner to do the same, We also took advice from the national grid ! However, if ever in doubt don’t risk it !
Great video, thanks Dave!
Good video Dave, found streamline very helpful in dealing with them. Hopefully catch up with a few of the bros in the new year 🙏
Didnt your immersion heater element melt your tank?
@@PatrickPhippard no never had a problem with it. Been in about 7 years now and still use it every day during the winter
@squeakycleandave1 thanks,I'm gonna install mine over the holidays in my 350 upright water tank.

@@Bluesmusicno1 no. Definitely electric
Go's to show the things you've bin doing for years And now someone had a acedent you question your own work..
You should of used hypo. Great job Dave,
A good old risk assessment. We can all learn from this clip
Hi Dave, well done mate good awareness video keep up the good work and stay safe speak soon Jason Knight ❤
😳
Thought provoking video. Nice one. 🙏 Personally it is not worth even trying because of water and carbon pole risk... There is plenty of work out there... 😅 And if noboby does it, perhaps they may also relocate the cable somewhere safer 👍
it's insulated, and it's only 230v, max 415v if the home owner is lucky enough to have a 3 phase supply you'd be very unlucky to get a zap off that, even if there was bare copper, which there shouldn't be I wouldn't recommend it for liability sake but I'd grab that cable with my bare hands in terms of working around it, if you're on a metal ladder just keep it 3 meters away from any overhead lines and you're free of danger on a wooden ladder that's down to your own discretion as those will conduct when wet or for fiberglass it's whatever, you can rest it on the cable if u want its a different story for cables between poles that aren't straight to a house, or cable going to industrial or large commercial properties if you're unsure, keep a 3 meter distance
Good video. Gets people thinking
Carbon Fibre poles would be lethal. when you have one as a fishing line, they have warnings on them to not fish while there is a storm! they are great at attracting lightning! hope you soon recover from your ordeal. good luck. 😟
Wpuld you recommend this vac, lookong to get a new vac but not sure what one to get?
@@justsamuelhaze yes definitely 👍
Hi Dave, How does it compare to the awesome Panther?
@@marcusherts9345 very similar on power but this has the deflection plate which stops the filter from clogging so it doesn’t lose suction
Very clean filter
What vac is that?
@@traceyrogers5125 it’s this one New GForce Compact Gutter Vacuum ua-cam.com/video/vQz-v2OxKt4/v-deo.html
Personally for gutter cleaning i think it is quicker with the ladder for a lot of jobs..... Need a ladder stand off.. I am not saying here but for a lot of jobs . quicker and better with the hand a bucket .
Which is safer though?
@@squeakycleandave1 Your are right dave..... it is a choice everyone has to make personally ..... But experience is key here .. knowing when you can use a ladder , the angle. the surface ( wet or dry )... You could attack it like this ... Do bottom floor with the hand and ladder and the top floor with the gutter vac..... What type of ladder you use and also the fragility of the gutters all play a role.
Call me crazy, but I do both, & even when I’m using the vac, I normally quickly go round with a ladder to quickly check & unblock all the downpipes, gulleys, before I vac up the rest, sometimes you’ll be there forever with the vac, trying to get into the corners, where moss has grown under the lead corners, need to get your hand under there, & pull it out. Vacs are great, but you’ll still need to get up on the ladder sometimes, & even put the vac away & do it off the ladder for some jobs
@@marcusherts9345 A soaking wet sponge or microfiber cloth is a great way to push debri in the gutter when you are on a ladder and if you combine that with a telescope pole you can hit several meters in one run both left and right of where the ladders is positioned ! SAYING that a vac looks professional...
@ yes I have a 22ft pole with gutter attachment, & I use an old applicator sleeve to move an water along , if I have to, I can normally do one side of a house in two moves, off ladder, with trad pole👍
How did you find the g force vac compared to the sky vac atom , is it comparable?
I haven't used the atom. It's a fantastic little vac. absolutely love it.
This is something that deeply concerns me. I know for Jason it was a bad combination, he had uninsulated lines, the water mist reduced his distance from them, and touching the uninsulated section he became the earth, witch i say with respect to Jason and his family. The same thing could have happened to me many times by now so thank you again to Dave and Jason for helping educate us, remind us how to stay safe, you've taught us all a life saving lesson. Kind regards
Which vacuum will you be using with these poles ?
