      @@chloewinnaa1515 It's actually a common psychological thing. It's seen in gambling games like poker all the time.
      If you care too much about something and are really trying to achieve, often you find that you stress over the superfluous and end up underachieving because you worried about something small and missed something that actually mattered.
      If you stop worrying, or stop caring as they put it and just play/relax about what you are doing, it often leads to better results because you aren't worried about what will happen at the end.

    • @MechMK1
      @MechMK1 4 роки тому +53

      @@Joiner113 Yes, sadly it is. Some runners splice their runs, taking individual clips and splicing them together into one. That way, they can just repeat sections over and over until they feel like they did well enough.
      Another somewhat common way to cheat is to create a TAS that seems human-like. So you play, rewind, play, rewind, etc. until you did everything without mistakes, or until you get perfect RNG. This becomes very difficult to prove, especially if you modify your controller to replay it on a live console, then record that.
      Yet another method is to change the game itself, for example, modifying cars to accelerate faster, enemies to hit you more or less often, etc. These things would be incredibly difficult to notice if you don't suspect anything.
      The big problem is that you can't really prove that someone did not cheat. You need to trust runners to a certain degree. I doubt that anyone would want to attach a debugger to a console and then verify 90 minutes of program code to verify that nothing was modified in any way. And even then you could not be sure 100%.

    The fact that he made the record WITH those minor slip-ups and illness is absolutely amazing. I have to wonder if he could keep that minute lead he gained in a future run. The man is a legend, and every time there was a cutscene you could just see him taking a breath, getting ready to go.

The only time I've felt something half as close is when I finally found The Grizzly in Diablo 1 after more than 20 years of playing. Love your content mate.
